Description: Jazz G/F Brandon Rush has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. SOURCE: David Locke, Jazz play-by-play
Insight: Knee issues have limited Rush to just ten minutes of court time this season. It isn't clear when he'll be able to play again.
11/5/2013 7:17:00 PM
Description: Utah's Brandon Rush (knee) will see minutes in the first half of Tuesday's game, according to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Insight: Rush hasn't played since tearing his ACL on Nov. 2, 2012, when he was with Golden State. The guard has averaged 27 minutes, 9.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 blocks, 0.6 steals and 1.4 threes in 291 career games with the Pacers and Warriors. He can be avoided in fantasy for now as the Jazz ease him back into action.
11/3/2012 5:44:00 PM
Description: An MRI on Golden State guard Brandon Rush's injured left knee revealed a torn ACL. He'll miss the rest of the season.
Insight: Rush had the best season of his career in 2011-12 (9.8 ppg) so this has to be disappointing news for fantasy owners. Charles Jenkins and Klay Thompson will see more playing time with Rush out.
11/3/2012 9:57:00 AM
Description: Warriors G/F Brandon Rush had to be helped off the court after sustaining a left knee injury Friday against the Grizzlies.
Insight: Rush was fouled from behind on a dunk attempt in the first quarter and landed awkwardly. He will have an MRI Saturday, the team said.
4/13/2011 11:19:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush was the best Pacer on the floor with 19 points thanks largely due to the five triples he buried.
Insight: The Pacers were not a fun team this year and there are a lot of question marks on the wings beside Danny Granger. They might shake things up in the offseason.
3/26/2011 9:45:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush was a big part of the win on Saturday with 19 points, four boards, and four threes in 36 minutes.
Insight: He made 7-of-10 from the field and he's certainly hoping the Jayhawks will have similar success tomorrow. He is very inconsistent and only the deep league owners need apply. The Pacers do play on Monday though.
3/13/2011 9:06:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush logged 35 minutes and didn't do much in the process with only eight points, six boards, a steal, and a three in the win. Paul George only played 13 minutes and did not do anything worth mentioning.
Insight: If you care, George had six points, a steal, no blocks, and no threes. George's value was on the upswing before tonight, but a night like this one will take the wind right out of his sails. If you've added George, it would probably be best to wait it out unless there is a nice player on the wire.
12/6/2010 10:16:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush made the Raptors extinct by burying six triples on his way to 26 points with two steals in 32 minutes.
Insight: He came off the bench in this game and really excelled in the role. Rush is a perfect example that coming off the bench doesn't kill value, while guys like Jason Kapono can start and be useless in even 24-team leagues. Minutes are minutes, folks.
12/4/2010 12:11:00 AM
Description: Brandon Rush took over while Danny Granger (eight points on 2-of-13 shooting) struggled mightily. Rush finished with 21 points, four rebounds, and three triples in 36 minutes.
Insight: He looked terrific tonight and was stroking his jumper all over the court. He probably won't be topping 20 that often, but his ability to play defense makes him a commodity. He's probably already owned in deep leagues, but standard owners holding onto guys like Toney Douglas might want to make the move.
12/2/2010 12:03:00 PM
Description: Rush started for the Pacers and had 15 points and three threes in a loss to the Jazz.
Insight: Rush played 42 minutes and produced decent numbers. If he can continue to start, he might a player to add. (
11/23/2010 11:13:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush came off the bench for Indiana and produced 17 points, three rebounds, a block, and two threes in 30 minutes.
Insight: According to Jim O'Brien, Rush is going to come off the bench some games and start in others. He can hit the three and will provide some defensive stats, as long as he gets minutes he should be a decent asset in deeper leagues.
11/22/2010 11:02:00 PM
Description: Rush had 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists tonight in the win over the Heat.
Insight: Rush started in place of Mike Dunleavy tonight and had himself a great game. Rush has been waiting in the wings all season for a chance to start and prove himself, and he did just that tonight. If he can stay in the starting five, he might be worth an add in deeper leagues. (
11/18/2010 10:16:00 PM
Description: Mike Dunleavy did not play on Thursday to be there for the birth of his child. Meanwhile, Brandon Rush looked pretty good in the start with 14 points, five boards, four threes, and five blocks.
Insight: Congrats if you add-dropped Rush tonight. However, Rush might have long-term value as we have a position battle on our hands. Deep league owner will want to hold Rush and all owners should put him on the watch list.
11/7/2010 1:04:00 PM
Description: Rush could become a starter once he returns from his five-game suspension, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Insight: Mike Dunleavey Jr. has not been playing well so Rush could be an upgrade. Rookie Paul George is also in the mix for minutes at wing for the Pacers. (
10/15/2010 7:04:00 AM
Description: Rush has not played much this preseason, but he is trying to keep practicing hard, according to the Indianapolis Star. Rush is suspended for the first five games of the season because of failed drug tests.
Insight: Rush started 64 games for the Pacers last year and averaged 9.4 points and 4.2 rebounds. He is behind Danny Granger, Mike Dunleavey Jr. and Paul George on the Pacer depth chart. (
8/28/2010 7:14:00 PM
Description: The Pacers could be looking trade away Brandon Rush now that he's been suspended for five games. SOURCE: Indianapolis Star
Insight: Rush have never exactly been welcomed with open arms and hasn't lived up to expectations. Mike Dunleavy figures to be ahead of him on the depth chart and Rush probably won't have much fantasy value should the Pacers decided to strike up a small deal to send Rush out of town.
8/27/2010 12:39:00 PM
Description: Brandon Rush has been suspended five games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. SOURCE: Yahoo!
Insight: The details of the suspension have not yet been released, so we don't know what types of drugs he used. One could only speculate, but it's probably marijuana. Rush has been quite the headache for fantasy owners and he'll be competing with Mike Dunleavy for minutes at the two for Indy.
