Description: Atlanta star center Al Horford is apparently on schedule for next season.
Insight: Dr. Xavier Duralde said Horford should be cleared for full participation of all normal basketball activities by the start of training camp. Horford averaged 18.6 ppg and 8.4 rog for 29 games this season before a torn pectoral muscle ended his season.

Insight: The surgery will happen on Tuesday. Horford expects to miss the rest of the season. Elton Brand has been inserted as the team's new starting center. He's only averaging 5.0 ppg in Horford's absence so fantasy owners should wait before adding him.

Description: Atlanta center Al Horford conceded that he probably won't play again this season, even if the Hawks were to make the playoffs. SOURCE: David Aldridge, TNT
Insight: Horford tore his right pectoral muscle in Thursday night's win over Cleveland. Who the Hawks start at center from here on out is anyone's guess. It will probably end up being some kind of timeshare between Pero Antic, Mike Scott, Elton Brand and maybe even Gustavo Ayon. It's a crushing blow to Atlanta's hopes of making the postseason.

Insight: It's a complete tear and will probably keep Horford sidelined for the rest of the season. Mike Scott and Pero Antic will fight it out for minutes at center while he's out. Neither are good fantasy options.

Description: Atlanta center Al Horford (shoulder) missed practice Friday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Horford suffered a right shoulder injury Thursday at Cleveland. He's averaging 18.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 0.9 steals per game this season.

Hot12/18/2013 10:45:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford has three double-doubles in the last four games.
Insight: He had 25 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal in 31 minutes Wednesday against the Kings. The center has kept his scoring in the same area as last season and increased his blocks but his rebounds are down nearly two per game because he is playing four minutes fewer per contest.

Hot12/13/2013 10:08:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford led the way with a career-high 34 points and 15 rebounds Friday in a win over Washington.
Insight: He won the game with an 11-foot jumper at the buzzer. Overall, Horford shot 15-of-23 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line. Horford has now netted 20 or more points in three of his last four games. He's a top-five center in fantasy.

11/6/2013 9:46:00 AM
Description: Al Horford's dominance continued Tuesday against Sacramento.
Insight: The Hawks center piled on 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting. He even sunk his first three-pointer of the season. Horford (10 boards on Tuesday) has now reached double-digit rebounds in each of his last three games.

11/1/2013 9:59:00 PM
Description: Hawks big man Al Horford torched the Raptors Friday in a 102-95 Atlanta victory.
Insight: He finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. As long as he stays healthy, Horford should be a top-20 fantasy player in 2013-14.

10/25/2013 7:37:00 PM
Description: Atlanta center Al Horford, who missed Wednesday's preseason finale with a strained right hamstring, practiced in full on Friday.
Insight: Horford should be ready to go for the season opener. The center had a career year in 2012-13, setting career highs with 17.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals and recording 3.2 assists and 1.1 blocks. With Josh Smith gone, Horford may take on even more offensive responsibility this season.

4/27/2013 10:10:00 PM
Description: Atlanta center Al Horford had a big game Saturday against Indiana (26 points, 16 rebounds, two steals, two blocks).
Insight: The 26-year-old has corralled at least ten boards in three of his last four games. He'll have a chance to make it four out of five Monday in Game 4.

4/17/2013 7:02:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford will miss Wednesday's game against the Knicks.
Insight: Horford also sat out Tuesday due to a shoulder injury, but we expect him to be ready for the playoffs. Horford made it through 74 games this season and averaged 17.4 ppg and 10.2 rpg this season, both of which are career highs.

4/16/2013 6:37:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford will miss Tuesday's game against the Raptors, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: No word on the reason, but Horford did miss a game earlier this month with a hamstring injury. The Hawks' regular season finale is on Wednesday.

4/10/2013 5:34:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford (hamstring) is expected to play Wednesday against the Sixers, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Horford missed Saturday's game but had plenty of time to rest with Atlanta having three days off.

4/6/2013 7:24:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford (hamstring) will miss Saturday's game against the Spurs.
Insight: The Hawks are sitting multiple starters on Saturday. Johan Petro will start.

4/3/2013 1:51:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford returned from illness that caused him to miss a pair of games to score 16 points and pull down six rebounds.
Insight: It wasn't what we have come to expect from Horford during this breakout season (17.5 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.1 bpg), but he should get better as he gets further from the illness.

3/30/2013 6:15:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Al Horford won't be available for Saturday's game against the Magic. He's still battling an illness.
Insight: Horford missed Friday's game versus Boston as well. Johan Petro will grab the start in Horford's place, though he doesn't present much fantasy value (5.2 ppg in five starts this season).

Hot3/30/2013 10:15:00 AM
Description: Atlanta big man Al Horford is doubtful to play on Saturday against the Orlando due to illness after missing Friday's game as expected.
Insight: The Hawks' center has been a monster force since the All-Star break averaging 20.7 ppg and 11.4 rpg over the past 21 games. He's got a 17.6 ppg average along with 10.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.1 bpg for the season and fantasy owners will be lost without his production, so hopefully he won't miss much more time.
