(SportsNetwork.com) - The Memphis Grizzlies aim for their eighth consecutive win at home Wednesday, when they welcome the Utah Jazz to FedExForum.
The Grizzlies are 20-14 at home and completed a three-game road trip (2-1) with Saturday's 103-77 bashing of the struggling Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. Mike Conley had 19 points and Zach Randolph added 14 for the Grizzlies, who have won five of six and 12 of the last 16 games.
"I thought today was a great team effort. We turned up the energy in the second half," Grizzlies Tony Allen said.
Memphis shot 54.3 percent (38-of-70) from the floor and scored 26 points on 22 Philadelphia turnovers.
The Grizzlies are eighth in the Western Conference, one game behind Dallas and 1 1/2 games ahead of Phoenix. They have held their last six opponents under 100 points and are allowing just 94.6 ppg this season, third-best in NBA.
After hosting the Jazz, Memphis will visit Miami Friday night.
Utah will wrap up a three-game road trip Wednesday and has lost the first two portions of the trip against San Antonio and Houston.
The Jazz closed the tour through Texas with Monday's 124-86 loss to the Rockets, as Derrick Favors and Alec Burks scored 15 points apiece. Rockets All-Star center Dwight Howard missed the game, so Terrence Jones led the hosts with 30 points.
Houston shot a sizzling 58.2 percent and made 13-of-25 3-pointers.
"We just couldn't get it going," Utah head coach Tyrone Corbin admitted. "It was like we were running in mud and couldn't get ourselves out of it."
Utah is only 8-27 away from Salt Lake City and will start a three-game homestand this weekend versus Orlando, Detroit and Memphis.
The Jazz dropped a 104-94 decision at Memphis on Dec. 23 and Randolph led the way with 22 points and nine rebounds. Richard Jefferson and Trey Burke scored 18 points apiece for Utah, which has lost five of six games to the Grizzlies.
Memphis is unbeaten in the last four at home versus Utah.
