Memphis Grizzlies (7-7) at Boston Celtics (6-10), 7:30 p.m.
(SportsNetwork.com) - The Memphis Grizzlies aim for their fifth straight road
win Wednesday against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.
The Grizzlies are 4-3 away from home and have lost back-to-back games, both at
home, following a four-game winning streak. In Monday's 93-86 loss to the
Houston Rockets, Tayshaun Prince ended with 16 points and Mike Conley added 10
points with 10 assists.
"Offensively they (Houston) are really, really good," said Memphis head coach
David Joerger. "I thought we played extremely hard but we're going to have to
play small ball to keep the games close as long as we can. Try and stop runs
as quick as possible."
Tony Allen and Zach Randolph scored 15 and 13 points, respectively, for
Memphis, which has dropped its last three at FedExForum.
Boston has recorded consecutive wins since losing six straight and will try to
stop a three-game home losing streak.
The Celtics handed the Charlotte Bobcats a 96-86 setback on Monday and were
led by Jordan Crawford's 21 points. Gerald Wallace chipped in 17 points off
the bench and Brandon Bass scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
Courtney Lee netted 11 points as a reserve.
"The bench, actually in both halves, did a great job," said Crawford. "First
half they got the lead and in the second half, the Bobcats came back and they
pushed it back to 10."
The Celtics are 2-4 in Beantown and will also host Cleveland at the Garden. In
injury news for Boston, forward Jared Sullinger (hand) is questionable for
Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, who defeated Boston, 95-88, back on
Nov. 4 on Beale Street.
Memphis has won three in a row and four of five encounters with Boston.
