Nets re-sign Anderson
Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Brooklyn Nets re-signed shooting guard Alan Anderson to a multi-year contract on Tuesday.
Last season with the Nets, his first with the club, he averaged 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists over a career-high 78 games. He averaged 22.7 minutes per game.
"Alan's versatility was a big part of our success last season," said Brooklyn general manager Billy King. "We look forward to Alan's continued leadership on and off the court this season."
Anderson broke into the NBA as an undrafted free agent with Charlotte in 2005 and spent two years with the Bobcats before playing overseas for four seasons in various countries. He returned to the league with the Raptors in 2011-12.
Over five NBA campaigns with Charlotte, Toronto and Brooklyn, Anderson has averaged 8.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 213 total games.
