James, Wade to sit for matchup with Knicks

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat will sit forward LeBron James as well as guards Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers for a second straight game when the team takes on the surging New York Knicks on Tuesday.

The three players were declared out after each missing the morning shootaround.

James is still bothered by a right hamstring strain he suffered in Friday's win against New Orleans, while sprained right ankles will continue to keep both Wade and Chalmers on the sideline. All remain listed as day-to-day.

Miami pulled out an 88-86 victory over the Western Conference-leading San Antonio Spurs without the trio on Sunday, and will hope for a similar outcome against the Knicks, who bring a season-long eight-game winning streak to South Beach.

James, Miami's scoring, rebounding and assist leader, is boasting averages of 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. Wade ranks second in team scoring with 21.3 points per contest, while Chalmers averages 8.5 points per game.
