Knicks' Anthony leaves with knee injury

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony left the team's 102-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday and did not return.

In the second quarter, Anthony tripped over his own feet and as he fell to the ground, his knee bent awkwardly. He got up immediately under his own power, but went straight to the locker room.

Currently, he is not scheduled for any medical tests, but will be re-evaluated Tuesday when the team travels to Detroit.

Anthony came into the contest tied with Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant as the league's top scorer, averaging 28.6 points per game. He had six points on 1- for-5 shooting before exiting with the injury.
