Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis left Sunday's game against Cleveland due to tightness in the right groin.
Insight: Davis is batting .341 this season with a stunning .937 OPS, but his game is based on speed and if this slows him down it could hurt his fantasy value.

4/19/2015 11:00:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis could be in for a nice day Sunday against the White Sox.
Insight: Davis is 10-for-26 lifetme against Jose Quintana with one homer and four stolen bases, making him a solid daily play for Sunday.

4/15/2015 10:07:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis hit a solo home run in the, 1-0, victory over the Pirates on Wednesday.
Insight: Of all people in the potent Tigers lineup, Davis was the difference on Wednesday with the solo blast to left field off Francisco Liriano. Davis also had the game-winning RBI in the, 2-0, victory on Tuesday. Davis is hitting .250 with two RBI this season and isn't fantasy relevant.

4/6/2015 12:05:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis will start on opening day despite the right-right matchup.
Insight: Davis is expected to platoon with Anthony Gose facing right-handers so we will have to watch this going forward. Davis is primarily a one-trick pony for fantasy owners. He's a base stealer. He stole 36 bases in 2014 and 45 in 2013. He can be useful as a fill-in, but a low OPS and no power hurts his value.

2/17/2015 8:23:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis says he's completely recovered from a groin injury suffered late last season that hurt his play in October, says Tigers beat writer Anthony Fenech.
Insight: Davis is primarily a one-trick pony for fantasy owners. He's a base stealer, so if his legs aren't right then he's of little value to fantasy owners. He stole 36 bases in 2014 and 45 in 2013. He can be useful as a fill-in, but a low OPS and no power hurts his value.

10/5/2014 11:27:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is not in the starting lineup for Game 3 of the ALDS against the Orioles on Sunday.
Insight: Davis and the Tigers were hoping that the travel day would be enough rest for Davis to be back in the lineup for Game 3, but his groin is apparently still not well enough to play. He may be available to come off the bench, but Don Kelly is starting in center field.

10/2/2014 5:30:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is in the starting lineup for Thursday ALDS Game against Baltimore.
Insight: Davis left Saturday's game with a Grade 1 groin strain, but is healthy enough to play. It is great news for Detroit. He is batting ninth, his custom spot.

9/28/2014 10:20:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is not in the starting lineup on Sunday.
Insight: Davis left Saturday's game with a Grade 1 groin strain. He will be re-evaluated on Sunday. Ezequiel Carrera is starting in center field on Sunday.

9/27/2014 10:46:00 PM
Description: Updating on a previous item: According to Lynn G. Henning, Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis has been diagnosed with a groin strain.
Insight: This has potential to be devestating news for Detroit, entering postseason play. For now, Davis will be reevaluated on Sunday

9/27/2014 8:26:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis left Saturday's game against Minnesota with an apparent hamstring injury, according to James Schmehl.
Insight: Davis seemed to come up lame while running out a groundball during the second inning. Consider Davis day-to-day for now, but this could be a big blow for Detroit, with postseason play starting in a few days. Ezequiel Carrera replaced him in center field.

9/20/2014 9:47:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is not a good play Saturday versus Royals right-hander James Shields.
Insight: Davis is just 2-for-18 (.111) against Shields and sat out the last time Shields pitched. Don Kelley should get the start in the outfield, but he's not much better at 2-for-11. Avoid both of them.

9/10/2014 3:36:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is not in Wednesday's starting lineup versus James Shields and the Royals.
Insight: This isn't unexpected as Davis is just 2-for-18 (.111) against Shields. Don Kelley will get the start in center field.

8/31/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is 9-for-23 (.391) against White Sox left-hander Jose Quintana.
Insight: Even more interesting is that once on base, he's 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. Need steals? Start Davis Sunday against Chicago.

8/24/2014 7:04:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis has hit .236 in August, but he went 2-for-6 with a homer and two RBI Sunday at Minnesota.
Insight: Throughout his career, Davis has been a much better hitter against lefties than righties and this year has been no different. He's hitting .343 with 13 doubles, two triples and three homers against southpaws and .245 with 10 doubles, four homers and 25 RBI against righties. The Tigers had to make Davis the starting center fielder when they traded Austin Jackson in the David Price deal, and Davis may be getting exposed as an everyday player.

8/18/2014 10:37:00 AM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis stole three bases against Seattle on Sunday, but left the game with a bruised thumb.
Insight: Davis is listed as day-to-day. He is seeing a lot more playing time after Detroit traded away Austin Jackson. This month, Davis is hitting .266 with six doubles, five RBI and five steals.

8/17/2014 4:42:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis couldn't produce a hit, a run, or an RBI, but still was a valuable fantasy outfielder.
Insight: That's because Davis managed to steal three bases. He's hitting .289 with six homers, 48 runs and 30 steals mostly as a part-time player.

8/13/2014 5:52:00 PM
Description: Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Pirates.
Insight: Davis has been in the starting lineup in 11 of 13 games this month after the team traded starting center fielder Austin Jackson on July 31. He's hitting .251 with a .629 OPS against righties, however, so he'll take a sit against Vance Worley.

Hot8/11/2014 10:44:00 PM
Description: Tigers outfielder Rajai Davis went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, a run and a steal Monday at Pittsburgh.
Insight: Davis entered the game with a .356 average and a .935 OPS against left-handers this season and he had a couple of infield hits against Pirates southpaw Jeff Locke before doubling off right-hander Casey Sadler.

Hot8/4/2014 4:00:00 PM
Description: Tigers outfielder Rajai Davis is not in Monday's starting lineup against the New York Yankees.
Insight: Strange move considering the outfielder has three consecutive multi-hit games. Davis' hot streak brings his batting average up to .305 with six homers. 36 RBI, 42 runs and 26 steals in 295 at-bats. Ezequiel Carrera will get the start in center field.

Hot8/2/2014 10:46:00 PM
Description: Tigers outfielder Rajai Davis has five hits in nine at-bats since being installed as the everyday center fielder.
