Insight: Dickerson had started the last five games playing for the injured Michael Bourn and was batting .471 over that span. It's not believed to be serious enough for a trip to the disabled list.

Insight: Dickerson looked promising early in his Cincinnati days, but his time with Milwaukee, the Yankees and Baltimore have not panned out. He'll likely start the season at Triple-A.

Description: Orioles outfielder/DH Chris Dickerson missed Thursday's game after receiving a cortisone injection and could miss the weekend games as well.
Insight: He's done a nice job as a fourth outfielder this season (.253, 4 HR, 13 RBI, 4 SB in 99 at-bats), but has little value as long as Nate McLouth, Adam Jones and Nick Markakis are healthy.

Description: Chris Dickerson saved the best for last. The Orioles outfielder/DH crushed a two-out walkoff homer Friday against Detroit.
Insight: It was Jose Valverde's second blown save of the season. Dickerson had been hitless in his previous three at bats. He's done a nice job as a platoon player this season (.313, 4 HR, 11 RBI in 20 games).

Insight: Dickerson had a great day, and may start the season on the big league roster due to Curtis Granderson's oblique injury, but he doesn't offer anything of value for fantasy owners at this point.
