Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter singled in his last at-bat at the major league level.
Insight: Jeter went 1-for-2 before leaving in the third inning on Sunday. He lined out to shortstop Jemile Weeks in his first at-bat and then hit an infield single in his second plate appearance. Manager Joe Girardi replaced Jeter after the infield single. Jeter finishes sixth all-time with 3,465 hits. Jeter will cap off his Hall of Fame career batting second one more time for the pinstripes. He registered an infield single before exiting the game on Saturday in a blow out. Hopefully, Jeter plays the entire game on Sunday.

Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter ends career at Yankee Stadium in grand style.

9/22/2014 10:54:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter had his first three-RBI game of 2014 on Monday in the victory over the Orioles.
Insight: Jeter had a RBI-groundout in the third and then drove in two with a double in the fifth. Jeter is going out on a high note in his last homestand of his career. He is 9-for-20 over the last five home games.

9/20/2014 8:20:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter continues to play well, as his career comes to an end.
Insight: Jeter went 2-for-5 Saturday against Toronto, with a double and one RBI. It is nice to see such a great player end on a high note.

9/19/2014 10:10:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter went 2-for-4 on Friday in the victory against the Blue Jays.
Insight: After going nearly a month in between multi-hit games, Jeter recorded his second straight game with two hits. He nearly hit his second home run in as many days but instead flew out to the warning track. Jeter may be inspired by his final homestand because he was in a major slump prior to Thursday. He is hitting .252 with 20 extra-base hits and 41 RBI this year.

9/18/2014 10:44:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter homered as the Yankees edged the Blue Jays 3-2 Thursday night.
Insight: With just seven games remaining at home, the fans may have seen Jeter's final home run trot. It was his fourth homer of the season and 260th of his Hall of Fame career.

Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is not in Monday's starting lineup.
Insight: Jeter is hitless over the last six games (22 at-bats). The Captain's "Goodbye Tour" is going out on a mediocre note. Fantasy owners should simply remember the future Hall of Fame member is a career .300 hitter over 20 seasons and smile for what he's done for you in the past ... and leave him on your bench.

9/7/2014 6:25:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter went 1-for-3 in his farewell day at Yankee Stadium on Sunday against the Royals.
Insight: Jeter hit a single. Even though we all love Derek Jeter (the New York Daily News tells us so every day), it is nice to see him go out this year while he is still somewhat on top of his game. He is a shell of himself, but he is hitting .260, which is the fourth highest in the Yankee lineup, with 19 extra-base hits and 40 RBI. The Captain's "Goodbye Tour" is going out on a mediocre note. He's batting .261 with three homers, 39 RBI and 41 runs scored. Fantasy owners should simply remember the future Hall of Fame member is a career .310 hitter with an .818 OPS over 20 seasons and smile for what he's done for you in the past ... and leave him on your bench.

9/6/2014 10:45:00 AM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is 4-for-9 with a pair of doubles and a 1.111 OPS against Royals left-hander Danny Duffy.
Insight: The Captain's "Goodbye Tour" is going out on a mediocre note. He's batting .261 with three homers, 39 RBI and 41 runs scored. Fantasy owners should simply remember the future Hall of Fame member is a career .310 hitter with an .818 OPS over 20 seasons and smile for what he's done for you in the past ... and leave him on your bench.

8/31/2014 9:16:00 AM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is a career .500 hitter (7-for-14) with a pair of home runs versus Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ.
Insight: Jeter's "Goodbye Tour" hasn't produced many results for fans and fantasy owners (.262, 3 HR, 36 RBI, 39 runs scored), but he does have a favorable matchup Sunday.

8/30/2014 4:07:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Insight: Jeter could not take advantage of a friendly matchup against Blue Jays starter Drew Hutchison. Jeter came into the matchup hitting .500 (7-for-14) against the 24-year-old. The Yankee captain is hitting .207 with four extra-base hits, including one home run, and a poor .622 OPS in 25 games this month. The debate of whether he should continue to bat second in the lineup will rage on at least another day.

8/30/2014 10:09:00 AM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is a career 7-for-14 against Blue Jays starter Drew Hutchison.
Insight: The experts have debated whether manager Joe Giardi should lower Jeter in the batting order, but as of now he is still hitting second and will continue to get opportunities. Jeter is hitting .264 with 18 extra base hits, 36 RBI and a measly .627 OPS this season.

8/7/2014 10:22:00 AM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is just 1-for-15 in his career versus Rick Porcello and is not in the starting lineup.
Insight: The consistent Jeter has batted exactly .272 in two of the four months this season and .275 and .289 in the others. He's not the fantasy value he once was as he finishes out his Hall of Fame career. Stephen Drew draws the shortstop assignment.

7/27/2014 12:04:00 PM
Description: Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has picked up six hits, including two homers, in 11 at-bats against Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ.
Insight: Jeter has batted exactly .272 in three of the four months this season and .275 in the other. He has just 13 extra-base hits in 367 at-bats. However, he could be a good and inexpensive option Sunday.

7/24/2014 10:42:00 AM
Description: New York shortstop Derek Jeter is not in Thursday afternoon's starting lineup.
Insight: Jeter hasn't done much this year (.270, 2 HR, 27 RBI in 89 games) but at least he's been able to stay healthy for his "goodbye tour." It's surprising he's getting Thursday's game off, however, as he's 3-for-5 with two homers versus Rangers starter Colby Lewis. Brendan Ryan will get the start.
