Description: Former Tigers and White Sox outfielder Magglio Ordonez has officially retired from Major League Baseball.
Insight: His best season came in 2007 when he posted a league-leading .363 batting average. Ordonez, a six-time All-Star, retires with 294 HRs, 1236 RBIs and 2156 career hits in 1848 major league games. The 38-year-old played his first eight seasons for Chicago before playing his last seven with Detroit.

Insight: Ordonez was swinging the bat well in the minors and it should be able to translate soon in the majors. Still until he gets going, activate him in AL-only leagues for now.

Description: Detroit outfielder Magglio Ordonez is scheduled to join Triple-A Toledo for a rehabilitation assignment. Ordonez has been on the disabled list since May 11 because of weakness in his surgically repaired right ankle. He has struggled to recover after breaking his ankle sliding into home plate last July. Insight: Ordonez should return to Detroit on Monday. For the rest of the season, plan on Ordonez producing like a #4 fantasy outfielder.
