Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout hit two home runs with five RBI in the, 6-3, victory over the Astros on Friday.
Insight: The home runs were Trout's second and third of the season. He is off to an incredible start, slashing .444/.500/.750 with nine RBI.

4/15/2015 5:46:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Insight: Trout also walked and stole his second bag of the season. He recorded his RBI on a single in the fourth. Trout is hitting .438 with one home run and four RBI in nine games this season.

4/12/2015 9:57:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with a RBI in the loss to the Royals on Saturday.
Insight: Trout has started the season very strongly, slashing .389/.429/.611 with one home run and three RBI. The strikeouts, however, haven't come down yet, but fantasy owners are probably ok with that.

4/8/2015 12:02:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is 5-for-26 lifetime against Mariners pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma.
Insight: That's just a .192 batting average. Trout also has a home run, seven strikeouts and two walks versus Iwakuma. In standard leagues, Trout should never come out of the lineup, but he should be avoided in daily leagues on Wednesday.

4/6/2015 7:22:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout had a solo bomb against the Mariners on Opening Day, but Seattle won, 4-1.
Insight: Trout pretty much began this season the same way he finished last as he went 1-for-4 on Monday with three strikeouts. Trout changed his approach this spring in an attempt to cut down on those strikeouts, but it obviously didn't work on Opening Day. Perhaps he will have more success when he isn't facing "King Felix".

4/6/2015 10:36:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is a career .367 hitter (18-of-49) with seven extra base hits and a 1.022 OPS against Seattle ace Felix Hernandez.
Insight: The only problem is that everyone else in the Angels lineup is batting .216 or worse against "King Felix" so unless Trout goes deep, he has taken Hernandez deep twice, he might not score very often.

3/8/2015 9:20:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout hit his first home run of Spring Training in Los Angeles, 6-4, loss, to Kansas City on Sunday.
Insight: Trout hit a home run and a single on Sunday. He is easily the No. 1 overall pick in fantasy this season, having led the league in runs and RBI with 36 home runs and 16 steals last season.

3/5/2015 5:50:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has a plan to cut down his league-leading 184 strikeouts from last season.
Insight: Trout told the Los Angeles Times that he plans to be more aggressive early in counts this spring. He said he believes swinging at more first pitches will lead to fewer punchouts. Regardless, there is hardly an argument that Trout shouldn't go No. 1 overall in fantasy drafts this season.

2/25/2015 3:22:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout told the Los Angeles Times that he wants to increase his stolen bases and cut down on his strikeouts in 2015.
Insight: This is music to fantasy owners' ears. Trout stole just 16 stolen bases last season after swiping 33 in 2013 and 49 in 2012. He also led the AL with 184 strikeouts last season. Fantasy owners would love to see another 30-steal season, but regardless, it's hard to argue Trout isn't the first overall pick off draft boards this spring.

11/13/2014 7:53:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout won the 2014 American League MVP award.
Insight: He won it unanimously after finishing second to Miguel Cabrera the past two seasons. Trout slashed .287/.377/.561 with 36 homers and 111 RBI. Congrats to the Angels' star outfielder.

10/2/2014 10:30:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is a lifetime .400 hitter (6-for-15) against Royals starter Jason Vargas.
Insight: Trout led the league in RBI with 111, runs (.115), total bases (338), but also strikeouts (184). This will be his first major league postseason action.

9/28/2014 10:17:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is hitting .383 (18-for-47) with seven extra-base hits and 11 RBI against Mariners ace Felix Hernandez.
Insight: Trout's OPS against Hernandez is 1.063, so we wouldn't be afraid to plug Trout into the fantasy lineup even with King Felix on the mound.

9/26/2014 11:33:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is just a .174 hitter (4-for-23) against Seattle right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma.
Insight: He was 1-for-2 with a stolen base and run scored, before leaving Wednesday's game in the fifth inning due to a stomach illness, but should be fine. This isn't a favorable matchup although Iwakuma has been pitching poorly of late.

9/24/2014 6:15:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout departs Wednesday's game with stomach illness.
Insight: He was 1-for-2 with a stolen base and run scored, before leaving the game in the fifth inning. Trout will just need a day or two to shake off the illness.

9/24/2014 11:50:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is just 1-for-9 with four strikeouts versus Oakland left-hander Jon Lester.
Insight: The AL MVP favorite is hitting .289 with 113 runs, 35 HR, 110 RBI and 15 steals, but has an unfavorable matchup Wednesday.

9/23/2014 1:45:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is a career .364 hitter (4-for-11) with a pair of homers against Oakland starter Sonny Gray.
Insight: The AL MVP favorite is hitting .291 with 113 runs, 35 HR, 110 RBI and 15 steals, though I will admit I liked him more when he was a 30-30 guy and struck out less. Start him Tuesday.

9/21/2014 9:05:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout continued his pursuit for his first MVP Award.
Insight: He clubbed his 35th homer of the season, while knocking in his 108th and 109th runs of the year. The AL MVP favorite is slashing .290/.379/.568 with 112 runs and 14 stolen bases. Oh, and he's only 23-years-old.

9/18/2014 3:23:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has had tremendous success against Mariners ace Felix Hernandez.
Insight: Trout is 18-for-47 with three doubles, two triples, two home runs and 11 RBI against King Felix. That produces an incredible .383/.404/.660 batting line. The AL MVP favorite is hitting .289 with 34 home runs and 107 RBI this year.

9/15/2014 10:12:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is just a .182 hitter against Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma.
Insight: Trout is still the man, and you aren't going to take him out of your lineup, just don't set your expectations too high for Monday. The center fielder leads the American league with 107 runs and 107 RBI while batting .290. He is fourth in home runs (34) and third with a .945 OPS.

9/14/2014 10:18:00 AM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout went 3-for-3 with two solo home runs and an intentional walk on Saturday as the Angels beat the Astros, 5-2.
Insight: The home runs are his 33rd and 34th of the season. Trout's other hit was a double, his 39th of the year. The center fielder leads the American league with 107 runs and 107 RBI while batting .290. He is third in home runs and third with a .946 OPS.
