Insight: Ianetta's numbers this season were pretty pedestrian (.240, 9 HR, 26 RBI) but keep in mind he missed almost half the season with a broken wrist. Ianetta won't hit for a high average but he could reach 15 homers next year if he stays healthy.

Description: Chris Iannetta is working his way back from an elbow injury.
Insight: Iannetta is in no danger of missing the start of the season. He hit 14 HR and knocked in 55 in just 345 at-bats last season with Colorado and should see plenty of work in Anaheim. He has always been a much better hitter in Denver (.869 OPS) than away (.707 OPS), so there is plenty to be wary of if you plan on making him your starting catcher.

Description: Chris Iannetta went 3-for-3 yesterday and is hitting .355 in spring training.
Insight: The high average is a result of good hitting in the past week and is a good sign for a player who has always had trouble getting on base at the major league level. He is worth owning in two-catcher leagues because of his power potential.

3/18/2011 6:23:00 AM
Description: Chris Iannetta is batting .211 this spring.
Insight: He is going to get more playing time than ever this year and that may mean more home runs but it will also make him a bigger drain on your batting average. Be happy with .250 because you might not even get that.
