Insight: Rodriguez has had a down year for Double-A Bowie, going 3-7 with a 4.79 ERA and a 69/29 K/BB in 82 2/3 innings. Miller, the 2006 sixth-overall pick who was once traded to the Marlins for Miguel Cabrera, has turned into a dominant lefty reliever after failing as a starter. In 42 1/3 innings this season, he has a 2.34 ERA, a 0.90 WHIP and 69 Ks. With Miller, Brian Matusz and Zach Britton, the Orioles are going to be extremely tough on left-handed batters in the latter innings.

Insight: Miller (2.64 ERA, six holds) has been a valuable lefthanded specialist out of the Sox bullpen this season. If he has to miss a significant amount of time, Boston could look to make a deal for a relief pitcher before the July 31st trade deadline.
