4/7/2015 10:31:00 AM
Description: Orioles first baseman Chris Davis has served his one-game suspension and should be in Tuesday's lineup against right-hander Nate Karns.
Insight: Davis could be the ultimate in high-risk, high-reward players this season. If he can stay out of trouble, stay healthy and produce as he did in 2013 (53 HR, 138 RBI) he could carry your team to a fantasy title. Or he could produce like 2014 when he batted .196 with 26 HR and 72 RBI. Do you feel lucky?

Description: Orioles manager Buck Showalter confirmed Thursday that first baseman Chris Davis will not be on the ALCS roster.
Insight: Not a surprise. Davis can return from his 25-game suspension in Game 6, but Baltimore is not interested in having an unusable player occupy a roster spot for the first five games. Davis should be activated for the World Series should Baltimore advance.

Description: Baltimore 1B/3B Chris Davis (suspended for 25 games) still has five games to go before he can return, so the thinking is he won't make the Orioles roster for the ALCS versus Kansas City.

Description: Baltimore first baseman Chris Davis is a career .407 hitter with two home runs versus Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson.
Insight: Davis is proving he was a bad bet to repeat last season's fantasy 53-HR, 138-RBI production. He can't get his batting average over .200 and he's hit just 23 long balls this season, so he may not be ready to take advantage of this favorable matchup.

8/27/2014 10:00:00 PM
Description: Baltimore first baseman Chris Davis went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Wednesday against Tampa Bay.
