Description: Mets catcher Taylor Teagarden launched his second career grand slam Tuesday in a win against Milwaukee.
Insight: Teagarden was promoted to the big leagues earlier this week after hitting .279 in 34 games for Triple-A Las Vegas. He's never been an everyday player and we're guessing that trend will continue with the Mets in 2014.

Description: Baltimore catcher Taylor Teagarden dislocated his left thumb Saturday in a win over Oakland. SOURCE: Dan Connolly, Baltimore Sun
Insight: The injury occurred after Teagarden was hit by a foul tip behind the plate. It looks like he's going to miss about 3-or-4 weeks.

Description: In his first major league game of the 2012 season, Baltimore backup catcher Taylor Teagarden delivered a two-run walk-off homer in the 13th inning to lift the Orioles over Detroit by a score of 8-6.
Insight: Well there's a name you don't hear very often. And unless Matt Wieters (.254, 12 HRs, 45 RBIs) suffers an injury, it will probably be a while before you hear it again.
