Description: Giants left fielder Travis Ishikawa is starting in left field for Game 3 of the World Series on Friday.
Insight: Giants manager Bruce Bochy is sticking with the same lineup without the designated hitter, which means Michael Morse returns to the bench.

Description: Giants left fielder Travis Ishikawa was 1-for-3 with a bases-clearing double in the first as the Giants defeated the Cardinals in 10 innings, 5-4, in Game 3 of the NLCS on Tuesday.
Insight: Ishikawa remained in left field despite the fact Michael Morse is on the roster. Ishikawa came up with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, and the Giants already ahead, 1-0. The left fielder broke the game open with a double. Although the Cardinals were able to comeback and tie the game, San Francisco won in extras on a throwing error.

Description: Giants' Travis Ishikawa will start in left field for Game 1 of the NLCS against the Cardinals on Saturday.
Insight: Michael Morse is on the series roster, but he will mostly be used as a pinch hitter. That leaves Ishikawa in left.

Description: Giants' Travis Ishikawa will start in left field for Wednesday's Wild Card game according to Alex Pavlovic of Mercury News.
Insight: With Angel Pagan and Michael Morse out with injuries, the Giants are searching for viable replacements in left and center field. Gregor Blanco will play center while Ishikawa will be in left. Ishikawa played opening day this season at PNC Park, the site of the NL Wild Card game, but as a Pittsburgh Pirate at first base.

Description: Pirates 1B Travis Ishikawa (.238, 1 HR, 3 RBI) will sit on Thursday in favor of Gaby Sanchez.
Insight: This is not the time to try Sanchez as he's just 1-for-12 with four strikeouts versus Cubs starter Travis Wood.
5/27/2012 9:44:00 PM
Description: Travis Ishikawa has been put on the 15-day DL with a strained left oblique.
Insight: Corey Hart (.262, 10 HRs, 22 RBIs) will probably see a lot more time at first base while Ishikawa is sidelined.

Description: Travis Ishikawa strained his left oblique Friday night in a game against the Diamondbacks and might be headed to the disabled list.
Insight: With the exception of a monster 2 HR, 5 RBI game two weeks ago, Ishikawa hasn't been very productive in fantasy this season. He's batting .250 with 4 HRs and 14 RBIs in just 64 at bats.

Description: Travis Ishikawa clobbered a pair of home runs Tuesday night in an 8-0 win over the Mets to double his season home run total to four. Ishikawa finished with 5 RBIs on the night.
Insight: It's too early to say that Ishikawa (.260) has fantasy value (he's only had 50 at bats this season) but if he keeps playing well, he'll certainly earn more playing time and maybe then he'll be able to garner some more fantasy consideration.
