Description: Philadelphia left-hander Cliff Lee fanned 13 hitters Wednesday in a loss to Atlanta.
Insight: Lee's only mistake was allowing a solo home run to Evan Gattis in the fourth inning. After spotting Lee 14 runs in the season opener, the Phillies have scored two runs or fewer in each of Lee's last three starts.

Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee allowed 10 hits but didn't walk a batter and struck out six over seven scoreless innings Saturday at Chicago.
Insight: It was a nice bounce-back effort for Lee after he gave up eight earned runs over five innings in the opener at Texas. The left-hander won that game anyway and is now 2-0.
3/17/2014 1:44:00 PM
Description: Phillies left-hander Cliff Lee will be the Opening Day starter.
Insight: There really wasn't any question with Roy Halladay retired and Cole Hamels injured. Lee went 14-8 with a 2.87 ERA and 1.010 WHIP in 2013. There is no reason he can't pitch just as well in 2014, the real question is whether the Phillies can score enough runs for him to win. Lee lost five game last year while yielding two earned runs or less.
Hot9/27/2013 10:08:00 PM
Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee lost his final start of 2013 despite allowing three hits and one run with 13 strikeouts over eight innings.
Insight: Lee went 3-2 with a 1.85 ERA, a 0.69 WHIP and a ridiculous 54/1 K/BB in 39 innings in September. He'll finish 14-8 with a 2.87 ERA, a 1.01 WHIP and 222 strikeouts in 222 2/3 innings.
Hot9/16/2013 10:27:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee (8 IP, 8 H, 2 ER) picked up 14 strikeouts Monday in a win against the Marlins.
Insight: Lee, a .167 lifetime hitter, helped his own cause by going 3-for-4 at the plate with a career-high four RBI. The 35-year-old has now won four of his last five starts (1.95 ERA during that stretch).
Hot9/11/2013 10:29:00 PM
Description: Phillies ace Cliff Lee has tossed eight innings in three of his last four starts, including Wednesday night against the Padres.
Insight: Lee is 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 29 innings in that span. He's 13-6 with a 2.97 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP this season.
Hot9/6/2013 9:57:00 PM
Description: Phillies ace Cliff Lee fanned ten hitters in eight innings Friday in a win against the Braves.
Insight: He held Atlanta to only one run on two hits. Lee is unbeaten in his last four starts (2-0, 1.93 ERA in 28 innings over that span).
8/26/2013 10:18:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia lefthander Cliff Lee (8 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K's) finally got back in the win column Monday against the Mets.
Insight: That ends a six-start winless streak for the veteran. Lee owns a 3.83 ERA in six starts since the All-Star break. His next outing is Saturday against the Cubs.
Cold8/16/2013 10:20:00 PM
Description: Philles starter Cliff Lee hasn't won since July 5.
Insight: He should be used to long streaks without a win -- he didn't get his first last season until July 4. Even after tossing eight innings of three-run ball on five hits Friday night against the red-hot Dodgers, Lee has a 5.17 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP over his last six starts.

Insight: A stiff neck has kept Lee out since July 21st. He's 3-1 with a 1.53 ERA against the Braves since the start of 2012.
8/2/2013 9:30:00 AM
Description: Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee won't make his scheduled start Friday against the Braves.
Insight: Lee continues to sit out because of neck stiffness. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, with the Phillies out of the pennant race, there is no reason to rush Lee back into the rotation. He's 10-4 with a 3.05 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.
7/26/2013 8:17:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee won't make his scheduled start Saturday against the Tigers. SOURCE: Todd Zolecki,
Insight: Lee is sitting out because of neck stiffness. Instead, the Phillies will turn to Raul Valdez, who has only made two career starts. There's a chance Lee has made his final start in a Phillies uniform as the team has received multiple trade offers for the veteran lefthander. The trade deadline is Wednesday at 4 pm.
6/14/2013 9:50:00 AM
Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee is probable for his next scheduled start after suffering a blister on his pitching hand.

5/22/2013 10:04:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia lefthander Cliff Lee threw a complete game shutout Wednesday against Miami.
Insight: Lee limited the Marlins to just three hits, which were all singles. He walked two and struck out five. Lee's 2.48 ERA is the ninth-lowest in the National League this season.
4/4/2013 9:52:00 PM
Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee did not pick up his first win until July 4 last season, in his 14th start. It took him one start in 2013, as he blanked the Braves over eight innings Thursday.
Insight: Lee held Atlanta to two hits, didn't walk a batter and struck out eight. With the bad luck of 2012 in the past, we expect a huge year from Lee.
10/4/2012 10:11:00 AM
Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee became the first pitcher in baseball's modern era to strikeout 200 batters in a season despite finishing the year with less than seven wins.
Insight: Lee broke through for five wins and a 2.45 ERA in the second half but was only able to win once in 14 starts before the All-Star break. Look for the 2008 AL Cy Young winner to have a better year in 2013.
Hot9/23/2012 5:58:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia ace Cliff Lee lost his first game since Aug. 11 Sunday against the Braves, but it can't really be blamed on him after he fanned 11 and allowed one earned run on nine hits in eight innings.
Insight: Lee (6-8, 3.18) should be used to outcomes like this since they have been happening all season. The left-hander has been brilliant in his last eight starts, going 4-1 with a microscopic 1.56 ERA and a 65/4 K/BB ratio in 57 2/3 innings.
Hot9/17/2012 9:58:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia ace Cliff Lee allowed just seven hits and one run over eight innings Monday night in a win over the Mets. Lee walked one and struck out 10.

Hot9/1/2012 8:35:00 PM
Description: Phillies starter Cliff Lee has won two straight starts for the first time this season. Lee beat Atlanta with seven scoreless frames Saturday.
Insight: Lee (4-7, 3.52) has had a rocky season but he's pitching his best baseball going into the fantasy playoffs. The left-hander has allowed just one earned in his last 14 innings.
