Description: Nats left fielder Bryce Harper was pulled from Saturday's game for a "lack of hustle," not for quad tightness, according to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post.
Insight: Harper has been dealing with the quad injury for the past week or so but that wasn't why manager Matt Williams decided to remove him Saturday after six innings. Harper has gone 2-for-15 over his last four games after goign 11-for-21 with five extra-base hits from April 9-14. However, it's a good sign that he has struck out in just one of his last 21 at-bats after fanning 16 times in his first 40.

Description: Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper will bat out of the No. 2 hole on Thursday afternoon.

2/19/2014 3:58:00 PM
Description: Nationals manager Matt Williams is leaning toward left fielder Bryce Harper batting fifth in the order, according to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post.
Insight: Harper mostly hit third last season and batted .274 with 20 homers, 58 RBI, 11 steals, 71 runs and an .854 OPS. Williams thinks Harper will have more RBI chances, can protect the 3-4 hitters and will run more often as a fifth hitter. However, we'd rather see him hit third again.

Description: Nats left fielder Bryce Harper won't be limited at all in spring training. Harper underwent offseason knee surgery back in October. SOURCE: NatsInsider.com
Insight: Harper's 2013 season wasn't quite as big as some were expecting (.274, 20 HR, 58 RBI, 11 SB). He's still just 21 though. If he can stay healthy, fantasy owners can expect 25-to-30 HR from Harper and probably a handful of stolen bases.

Description: Washington left fielder Bryce Harper underwent a minor knee operation earlier this week. SOURCE: Dan Kolko, MASN
Insight: The surgery was to repair a bursa in his left knee. Harper should be back to normal in about 4-to-6 weeks. Harper didn't quite live up to his lofty expectations in 2013 (.274, 20 HR, 58 RBI, 11 SB in 118 games) but at age 21, his window for fantasy success isn't closing anytime soon.
