Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang earns victory in final start of season.
Insight: Harang had a solid season for Atlanta, and he concluded his year with a solid start against Philadelphia. He went 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball, allowing eight hits and two walks, while striking out five. Harang is now 12-12 with a 3.57 ERA, but almost lost his victory, as Craig Kimbrel loaded the bases in the ninth. However, Kimbrel escaped with his 46th save of the year, getting Ben Revere to line out to end the contest .

Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings, struck out seven and walked two but lost to the Pirates, 1-0, on Monday.
Insight: Harang has yielded just three runs in three starts over his last 21 innings, but he has lost two of those games. Harang is 11-12 with a 3.60 ERA and 156 strikeouts in 197 2/3 innings this season.

Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang yielded six runs on 10 hits in three and 2/3 innings. He also struck out three and walked one in the loss against Miami on Friday.
Insight: Harang has not pitched well down the stretch. After pitching into the ninth inning on Aug. 19, he has lost his last three starts. Since the All-Star break, Harang is 1-3 with a 3.88 ERA.

Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang was knocked around by the Dodgers Thursday afternoon and left in the fifth inning.
Insight: Harang gave up seven hits, three walks and five earned runs, including a home run by catcher Drew Butera. Harang had pitched well in five of his previous six outings so hopefully this is just a small bump in the road.
7/10/2014 10:08:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang got back to pitching as he did in the early portion of the season, going seven strong innings yielding just four hits and one run.
Insight: Harang improved to 9-6 with an ERA of 3.53. Fantasy owners and Braves fans need to see more of this version of Harang.
6/18/2014 5:55:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang gave up 13 hits, three walks and nine runs (eight earned) in five innings Wednesday against the Phillies.
Insight: Harang (5-6, 3.83 ERA, 1.38 WHIP) has thrown 12 quality starts in 15 turns through the rotation this season but allowed 32 hits and 21 earned runs over 15 innings in his three worst outings. It's only a matter of time before the team brings talented young left-hander Alex Wood back up to replace Harang in the rotation.
5/17/2014 5:23:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang has allowed two earned runs in each of his last three starts and struck out 22 batters over 18 innings in that span.
Insight: Harang ended April on a down note when he gave up nine runs on 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings, but he's 4-4 with a 2.98 ERA, a 1.16 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings this season. Harang's career K/9 is 7.34, but it's 9.77 this year.
4/30/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang came back to Earth Wednesday at Miami, allowing nine earned runs on 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings.
Insight: Harang only allowed three earned runs in his first 31 2/3 innings, but fantasy owners should have known it wasn't going to last. His career ERA in nearly 2,000 innings is above 4.20 and he's never had one lower than 3.61 in any season.
Hot4/23/2014 4:20:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang pitched well in a no-decision Wednesday against Miami.
Insight: This wasn't the gem he threw last week against the Mets (7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 K's) but Harang (3-1) was still plenty effective, racking up a season-high 11 strikeouts and allowing just one run over six innings. His 0.85 ERA this season leads the National League.
Hot4/18/2014 10:16:00 PM
Description: Atlanta right-hander Aaron Harang tossed seven no-hit innings Friday in a win against the Mets.
Insight: Harang's pitch count got to 121 so Luis Avilan relieved him in the eighth. It's the second time this season Harang (7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 K's, 6 BB) has taken a no-hitter past the fifth inning. He's off to a tremendous start (3-1, 0.70 ERA) and should probably be owned in most formats.
Hot4/8/2014 10:36:00 PM
Description: Braves starter Aaron Harang struck out nine batters in six innings Tuesday against the Mets.
Insight: He allowed just two hits, walked four and gave up one run to take a tough-luck loss. The 35-year-old has given up only four hits and one run in his first 12 2/3 innings this season. He's unlikely to keep it up.
4/2/2014 7:59:00 PM
Description: Aaron Harang took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in his Braves debut Wednesday at Milwaukee.
Insight: The Braves picked up Harang in late March and had to put him in their rotation due to numerous injuries. He had a 5.40 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP in 143 1/3 innings last season and isn't worth adding in fantasy.

Description: The Braves have signed right-hander Aaron Harang to a one-year deal. SOURCE: Ken Rosenthal, Fox Sports
Insight: Harang was released by Cleveland less than 24 hours ago. He's actually pitched pretty well this spring with two wins and a 2.00 ERA in four appearances. The Braves really just need a healthy body now that Kris Medlen (elbow) and Brandon Beachy (elbow) are both out for the season.

Description: Righthander Aaron Harang will attend spring training with the Indians. SOURCE: Paul Hoynes, Cleveland Plain Dealer
Insight: It's anyone's guess whether he'll make the team. If he does, we wouldn't count on him as a fantasy option after posting a 5.40 ERA in 26 starts in 2013.
9/2/2013 9:23:00 AM
Description: Journeyman Aaron Harang has signed a minor league deal with the Mets.
Insight: He's been assigned to the team's Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas. The 35-year-old gives the Mets depth but little else. He hasn't been a factor in fantasy since winning 16 games for the Reds back in 2007.
8/26/2013 7:40:00 PM
Description: The Mariners designated righthander Aaron Harang for assignment on Monday.
Insight: Harang's tenure with the M's lasted all of four months. He's an innings eater so he shouldn't be on the market for too long.
6/1/2013 8:32:00 PM
Description: Mariners starter Aaron Harang allowed two runs on four hits in six innings Saturday against the Twins.
Insight: It's a nice follow-up to the shutout he threw his last time out. The right-hander has thrown six innings or more and allowed two runs or less in four of the last five starts, but he gave up seven earned on nine hits in 3 2/3 in the other one.
5/27/2013 8:57:00 PM
Description: Seattle righthander Aaron Harang recorded his seventh career shutout Monday against the Padres.
Insight: It's a step in the right direction but we're still not ready to trust someone with a 6.51 ERA and a .281 batting average against. Harang's next start is scheduled for Saturday against Minnesota.
5/16/2013 3:00:00 PM
Description: Mariners starter Aaron Harang has been scratched from Thursday's start against the Yankees due to back stiffness, according to Shannon Drayer of 710 AM ESPN Seattle.
Insight: Harang had an 11.37 ERA in three April starts but has gone 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP in two starts this month. Hector Noesi will make a spot start Thursday against his former ballclub.
4/11/2013 3:39:00 PM
Description: The Mariners acquired Aaron Harang from the Rockies for a reliever.
Insight: Harang was traded from the Dodgers to the Rockies last week but was immediately designated for assignment. Harang should join Seattle's starting rotation immediately upon his arrival but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be useful to fantasy owners. Harang carried an abysmal strikeout to walk ratio in 2012 (131 K's to 85 free passes) and the AL West features some of the toughest lineups in baseball. For now, we'd recommend a wait and see approach with Harang.
