Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (neck) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Miami.
Insight: Gonzalez left Wednesday's game after aggravating his neck strain and has been in and out of the lineup. When in uniform, he's hit well, batting .345 with four homers, 26 RBI and a .914 OPS. The Dodgers have Monday off, so hopefully the two days of rest will allow him to play again on a regular basis.

Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (neck) is in the lineup Friday.
Insight: Gonzalez left Wednesday's game after aggravating his neck strain, but he was able to rest Thursday with the Dodgers on an off day.

Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez appeared to re-injure his neck Wednesday versus the Diamondbacks. SOURCE: MLB.com
Insight: He dove for a ball at first base and had to come out in the fourth inning. Even with the off day on Thursday, Gonzalez is questionable at best for Friday's contest against the Marlins.

5/6/2013 9:42:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles first baseman Adrian Gonzalez will play through a strained neck Monday against Arizona.
Insight: We'll have to see if the neck stiffness affects his swing. Gonzo plated two runners on a pinch-hit single Sunday against the Giants.

Cold5/4/2013 8:59:00 PM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (stiff neck) was a late scratch Saturday, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.
Insight: Gonzalez also missed Friday's game. He was initially in Saturday's lineup, but felt neck stiffness during batting practice.

Cold5/4/2013 6:36:00 PM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (neck) is tentatively starting Saturday's game.
Insight: According to BIll Shaikin of the LA Times, Gonzalez said he could be scratched if he doesn't feel right during batting practice. He missed Friday's game with neck and upper-back stiffness.

Cold5/3/2013 9:10:00 PM
Description: Adrian Gonzalez won't suit up for Friday night's game against the Giants. The Dodgers first baseman is out with a sore neck.
Insight: He's just three for his last 17. Jerry Hairston Jr. was originally slated to start in the outfield but now he'll take Gonzalez's spot at first base with Skip Shumaker occupying left field.

4/27/2013 8:55:00 PM
Description: Ken Gurnick of Dodgers.com is reporting that first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has been taken to the hospital where he will be treated for a small skin infection on his right leg.
Insight: Gurnick said that Gonzalez is expected to return to the ballpark and that he could be available off the bench. That's probably wishful thinking but at least it's not something more serious.

Description: Los Angeles first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has been scratched from Saturday night's starting lineup. SOURCE: David Vassegh, Fox Sports Los Angeles
Insight: We're still waiting to hear why Gonzalez (.363, 2 HR, 17 RBI) was removed from the lineup. Most late scratches are injury-related. We'll let you know as soon as we know more.

Hot4/21/2013 10:18:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has spent most of his career in the NL West, but he does have five hits in 11 at-bats against Orioles starter Jake Arrieta.
Insight: Gonzalez faced Arrieta during his 1 1/2 years with the Boston Red Sox. The first baseman is hitting .377 with 13 RBIs and a 7/8 K/BB, but he has just two homers. Fantasy owners should come to terms with the reality that Gonzalez is now a high-average 20-home-run hitter.

Hot4/14/2013 9:21:00 PM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez had a double and two singles in four at-bats Sunday against Arizona and is now hitting .409.
Insight: Both of Gonzalez' homers this season have come over the last four games. The first baseman's power has been on the decline for the last three years, but he is still a high-average run producer.

4/13/2013 10:39:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is 2-for-16 (.125) in his career against Arizona starter Ian Kennedy.
Insight: Gonzalez is batting .333 (12-for-32) with a homer and eight RBI. With a homer total that has dropped from 40 in 2009 to 31 to 27 and 18 last season, Gonzalez seems to have lost his power and become a singles hitter. This is an unfavorable matchup.

Hot4/9/2013 10:39:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is 7-for-8 (.875) in his career against Padres starter Clayton Richards.
Insight: It's a "soft" .875 with all seven hits being singles. Gonzalez is batting .400 (8-for-20) but is homerless this April and, in fact, has just two extra base hits (doubles). He's become a singles hitter ... but a good one.

Hot9/30/2012 10:12:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has suddenly heated up in the past two weeks. He has an 11-game hitting streak and will get a favorable matchup Sunday with Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa.
Insight: Gonzalez is batting .346 (9-for-26) with three homers and eight RBIs against De La Rosa. He's also hitting .378 (17-for-45) with two homers and five RBIs during his current hitting streak so he's a must-start Sunday.

Cold9/23/2012 10:09:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is hitting just .245 with one homer and a .670 OPS in 26 games since joining Los Angeles so he's no longer a must-start everyday, but Sunday would be a good day to get him in the lineup due to the success he's had against Reds starter Homer Bailey.
Insight: Gonzalez is 6-for-12 with two doubles, three homers and five RBIs against Bailey so hopefully this matchup yields positive results for the struggling first baseman.

Cold9/21/2012 10:22:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is just a .115 hitter (3-for-26) against Reds starter Bronson Arroyo.
Insight: Gonzalez is struggling back in the NL West, batting just .245 with a .677 OPS since joining the Dodgers. Avoid this matchup.

Cold9/8/2012 10:13:00 AM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is back in the NL West, where he gets to face Giants starter Matt Cain regularly. That's good news for fantasy owners.
Insight: Gonzalez is 18-for-56 (.321) with four homers and 13 RBIs against Cain. The first baseman is hitting .241 with one homer and a .663 OPS in 13 games since coming over to Los Angeles in a trade, but Saturday's matchup with Cain could get his bat going.

Cold9/7/2012 2:45:00 PM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is a career .205 hitter against San Francisco starter Tim Lincecum with zero long balls, just one RBI and 16 strikeouts in 39 at-bats.
Insight: Gonzalez is batting .260 with a homer and 10 RBI since leaving Boston for Los Angeles. The Dodgers and fantasy owners need more, but it's not likely going to happen on Friday night.

9/2/2012 9:49:00 PM
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez whacked a two-run double in the ninth inning of Sunday's come from behind win over the Diamondbacks.
Insight: Gonzalez had been 1-for-13 in the series before his game-winning hit. He's batting .211 with one homer and eight RBI in nine games since getting traded from Boston.
