Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - DeWayne Wise drove in the go-ahead run with a
two-out, sixth-inning single, and the Chicago White Sox held on for a 5-4 win
over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday.
In Friday's series opener, Wise scored the game-winning run in the bottom of
the ninth after Chicago squandered a five-run lead in the top of the frame.

five hits -- including Seager's first-inning, three-run homer -- with four
walks and four strikeouts over 5 2/3 frames.
Nate Jones (6-0) relieved Quintana with runners on first and second and
retired Brendan Ryan to end the sixth.
The White Sox, who will look for the sweep on Sunday, have won five straight
games and lead the Detroit Tigers by 2 1/2 games in the division.
Wise began the first inning with a single, stole second and crossed the plate
on Paul Konerko's single to left field.
In the third, Kevin Youkilis led off with a single, moved up on Konerko's
walk, and slid into home ahead of Miguel Olivo's tag when Rios slapped a base
hit to right.
Beavan was charged with four runs on seven hits in five-plus innings. He lost
his only previous outing against Chicago earlier this season ... Home plate
umpire Lance Barrett ejected White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and Ventura
in the third inning for arguing a called ball.
