Red Sox top Blue Jays in 10 innings
Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Yoenis Cespedes hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 10th inning and the Boston Red Sox topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-3, in the opener of a three-game set.
Brock Holt reached on an infield single against Aaron Sanchez (2-1) with one out in the 10th, stole second when Dustin Pedroia struck out and scored on Cespedes' liner up the middle.
Craig Breslow earned his first save of the year with a scoreless 10th. Koji Uehara (6-4) notched the win despite serving up the game-tying, two-run double to Edwin Encarnacion in the bottom of the ninth.
