This week, the LPGA Tour travels to the Lone Star State for the North Texas LPGA Shootout in Irving. Four of the top-6 players in the world are in the field - defending champion Inbee Park (1), top American Stacy Lewis (3), Suzann Pettersen (4) and Kraft Nabisco champion Lexi Thompson (6).

Park is still looking for her first win of 2014 after an incredible 2013. She has six top-10 finishes in seven events this season, with a runner-up at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Lewis is also still looking for her first victory of 2014. She has seven top-10 finishes in eight events, with three runner-up finishes.

Pettersen returned to action last week, where she tied for 28th at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic, after missing three consecutive tournaments while dealing with a back injury.

Thompson is playing for the first time since winning her first major title at the Kraft Nabisco Championship four weeks ago.

The tournament is being held at Las Colinas Country Club. The course was designed by Joe Finger in 1963. The 2013 tournament was the first time the LPGA Tour has played in the North Texas region in over 20 years.

Last year, Park birdied the 18th hole in the final round to hold off third- round leader Carlota Ciganda and win the inaugural event by a single stroke. Park entered the final round two strokes off the pace, but she was able to grab the lead when Ciganda bogeyed No. 14 and tripped to a double bogey on the next hole. Ciganda rallied with a birdie on the final hole to pull even with her playing partner, but the world No. 1 Park calmly followed with an 8-foot birdie make of her own to lock up the victory. Park carded a final-round 4- under 67 and ended 72 holes at 13-under 271.

The LPGA Tour heads to Virginia in two weeks for the Kingsmill Championship in Williamsburg, where Cristie Kerr won the 2013 title.
