NFL Player reports for September 15

LaDainian Tomlinson has only missed one game during his seven-year career.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Individual player reports, updated daily.

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, San Diego - Tomlinson couldn't complete yesterday's game against Denver after aggravating the injury to his right toe.

Insight - Although Tomlinson has only missed one game during his seven-year career, this looks like a lingering injury which will at the very least have him out of the game when the team is well ahead or well behind. If you don't already have backup RB Darren Sproles, now would be the time to pick him up on waivers or trade for him.

Darren Sproles, RB San Diego - Backup running back Darren Sproles was called into action after Ladainian Tomlinson aggravated his toe injury and was spectacular. He had 53 yards on seven carries, two catches for 73 yards and a TD and ran a kickoff 103 yards for a second score.

Insight - If you have Tomlinson, you should make an effort to get Sproles.

Justin Fargas, RB Oakland - Fargas collected 43 yards on nine carries, but injured his groin. Rookie Darren McFadden filled in very well with 164 yards and one TD on 21 carries.

Darren McFadden, RB, Oakland - McFadden posted 164 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries after Justin Fargas went down with a groin injury.

Carson Palmer, QB, Cincinnati - Palmer is probable for next Sunday after suffering an ankle injury. He was removed from the loss to Tennessee after posting 134 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

Insight - Palmer and the entire Bengals offense have been horrible over the first two games and a date with the Giants next Sunday doesn't look like it will help them get better any time soon.

Joshua Cribbs, WR, Cleveland - The return specialist is questionable for next Sunday's contest with Baltimore after suffering a leg injury against Pittsburgh.

Bob Sanders, DB, Indianapolis - Sanders is questionable for Sunday against Jacksonville after leaving this week's game in Minnesota early with a ankle injury.

Insight - The Colts defense is a much different creature without Sanders in the lineup.

Dallas Clark, TE, Indianapolis - Dallas Clark didn't play in yesterday's game and is still doubtful for next Sunday against Jacksonville with a knee injury.

Jeff Saturday, OL, Indianapolis - Like Clark, Saturday did not play in yesterday's game and the offense struggled for three quarters. Saturday is questionable for next Sunday.

Damon Huard, QB, Kansas City - Huard took a seat next to Brodie Croyle after injuring his next in Sunday's game. He is questionable for next Sunday, making Tyler Thigpen the likely starter.

Laurence Maroney, RB, New England - Maroney left Sunday's game early with a shoulder injury, but did return to the game. Lamont Jordan took the bulk of the carries after the injury.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh - Roethlisberger fought off his injured right shoulder and high winds to lead the Steelers to a victory over Cleveland.

Insight - He seems ready to play with it for the full season, but I'd have a backup plan in place because one more good shot could have him on the sidelines for an extended amount of time.

Michael Turner, RB, Atlanta - Michael Turner injured his ankle and ran for just 42 yards on 14 carries, a far cry from the first week's 220 yard performance.

Devin Hester, WR, Chicago - Left the Bears game in the third quarter after injuring his ribs on a kickoff return. He is questionable for next week against Tampa Bay.

Logan Payne, WR, Seattle - The Seahawks lost another receiver when Payne injured his knee in Sunday's game. He joins Nate Burleson, Deion Branch and Bobby Engram on the sidelines.

Joey Galloway, WR, Tampa Bay - Galloway suffered a foot sprain and is questionable for next Sunday's contest against Chicago.

Aqib Talib, DB, Tampa Bay - Talib suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's game.
