Description: Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is off to a really poor start.

Insight: Chara tore his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in late October and was expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Even at age 37, he is a huge part of the Bruins and his fantasy teams' defense. It looks like it will be closer to the larger six week timetable.
Description: Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman is one month into his 4-6 week timetable and all is progressing about as planned.
Insight: Hedman's broken hand had the cast removed and he's been working on his skating conditioning, according to a Tampa Tribune report. He's still about two weeks away which would put him at the six-week mark of the timetable. Hedman had started strong with seven points in the first five games after posting a career-high 55 points last season.
Description: Penguins defenseman Kris Letang exited Monday's game and went into the locker room during the first period. UPDATE: Letang returned to the ice early in the second period.
Insight: Letang had a big collison with a Rangers player and looked to be experiencing some pain in his leg. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Letang has not returned to the ice since the hit. Stay posted for updates.
