Insight: With Tampa Day down 2-0 late in the third period, Johnson scored his first goal, then after Ondrej Palat sent it into overtime, Johnson won it for Tampa Bay just over two minutes in. He also had an assist, four shots, and a plus-three rating on the night.

Description: Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov recorded three points during Thursday's Game 5 win over the Islanders.
Insight: He had two goals and an assist, along with seven shots, two penalty minutes, and a plus-two rating on the night. The goals were his first two of the series.

Insight: He score in the first period to tie the game 1-1, but New York fell in OT. Cizikas also recorded four shots on goal and a plus-one rating on the night.

Insight: He scored the OT winner to send Washington home with the series tied 2-2. Backstrom also had an assist, five shots, and a plus-two rating on the night.

Description: Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk got Detroit going in Game 3, scoring the game's first goal on a deflection as the Red Wings went on to beat the Lightning, 3-0, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Insight: Tomas Tatar took a shot from the point that Datsyuk redirected into the net. Datsyuk was tied for the team lead with four shots on net. He has two goals and an assist in the series as Detroit leads, 2-1.

Description: Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist in the, 4-2, Game 3 victory over the Predators in the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Sunday.
Insight: Toews scored in the first minute of the second period to give Chicago a lead, but Nashville scored 22 seconds later. Toews then assisted Brent Seabrook's goal to give Chicago a, 4-2, lead. Toews has five points in the series.

Description: Predators center Mike Ribeiro scored his first goal of the playoffs on Sunday versus the Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Insight: Ribeiro scored about 30 seconds after Chicago scored its first goal of Game 3. The Blackhawks took another lead in the first minute of the second period, but again the Predators responded within 30 seconds to tie. Chicago, however, scored two more goals in the second period and won Game 3, 2-1. The Blackhawks lead the series, 2-1.

Insight: It tied the game with just over six minutes left in the third, but Washington eventually fell in overtime. Backstrom now has two goals int he series.

Insight: Tavares scored just 15 seconds into the extra session. He also had four shots and a plus-two rating.

Insight: Johnson also had six shots on goal and a plus-one rating in the game. He will be a solid daily option for the postseason.

Description: Predators center Filip Forsberg broke the Blackhawks with his third period goal in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Friday.
Insight: Forsberg stole the puck from Duncan Keith right in front of Corey Crawford and hit the puck into the back of the net. At the time, Nashville was clinging to a one-goal lead, so the score put the Predators up by two. From there, Chicago got very sloppy on defense and allowed to more goals and lost, 6-2. The series is tied 1-1.

Description: Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom had a big night for Washington in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals versus the Islanders.
Insight: Coach Barry Trotz started playing Backstrom with Alex Ovechkin in the second period, and it lite a fire in the Capitals. Washington outshot New York, 30-14, after the first period. Backstrom had a goal and two assists with four shots on net. On his goal, Backstrom skated right through New York's defense, which backed off out of respect, and he just snapped a wrist shot to the corner of the goal. The series is tied, 1-1.

Description: Predators forward Craig Smith had a pair of goals and an assist in the, 6-2, victory in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Blackhawks.
Insight: Smith scored to give Nashville the lead for good, 3-2, towards the end of the second period. It appear as if the game would be a nailbiter until the end, but Nashville unleashed three goals in the final eight minutes to win, 6-2.

Description: Lightning center Brian Boyle had a beautiful shorthanded goal in the first period of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Red Wings on Thursday.
Insight: Boyle picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and had a breakaway on Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek. He deked to the right and then beat Mrazek to the left. Despite the pretty goal, Tampa Bay lost Game 1, 3-2.

Description: Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk scored a pair of goals in the, 3-2, victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Lightning.
Insight: Datsyuk opened up the scoring in the first period and then scored on the power play eight seconds into the second period. On first goal, Datsyuk deflected the first shot of the game passed Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop, and then on the second score, Datsyuk displayed his tremendous skill that was overlooked when the experts picked Tampa Bay to win this series easily. Game 2 will be on Friday.

Description: Nashville center Colin Wilson scored a pair of goal in the, 4-3, double overtime loss in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Blackhawks.
Insight: Wilson opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal and then scored on the power-play as Nashville led, 3-0, after the first period. Chicago, however, scored the final four goals of the game, including the winner in double overtime.

Description: Senators center Mike Zibanejad scored a power-play goal in the Game 1 loss to the Canadiens on Wednesday.
Insight: Zibanejad's score on the same power play where Ottawa allowed a shorthanded goal. His goal tied the game again at three, but Brian Flynn's goal towards the end of the period was the game-winner for Montreal.

Description: Canadiens winger Brian Flynn had a goal and two assists in the, 4-3, victory over the Senators in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Insight: Flynn helped Montreal get going in what was a wild second period. Flynn assisted Torrey Mitchell's goal and then Lars Eller's shorthanded goal. Then, in Ottawa tied it at three, Flynn scored the sixth and final goal of the second period, which also proved to be the game-winner.

Description: Capitals forward Marcus Johansson scored the only Washington goal of Game 1 as the Islanders won, 4-1.
Insight: Johansson's goal tied the game at one before the first intermission, but Washington never really got into its game. The Capitals were also 0-for-2 on the power play.

Description: Islanders forward Brock Nelson had his first multi-goal game for the first time since Opening night.
Insight: What a time for Nelson to have one of his best games of the season. He scored the first goal of the game, which really set the tone for Game 1. Washington wasn't the same team after Nelson's score. Inside of two minutes left in regulation, Nelson sprinted down ice to help his team avoid icing and then scored on the empty net. The Islanders beat the Capitals in Game 1, 4-1.

Description: Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and an assist in the regular season finale against the Coyotes.
Insight: Getzlaf finished the season with 25 goals, 45 assists, 62 penalty minutes and a plus-15 rating, but fantasy owners were hoping for more scoring. He had 70 points in 77 games. Last season, Getzlaf had 87 points in 77 games.

Description: Islanders center John Tavares had two points on Saturday in the season finale, but that wasn't enough to win the Art Ross Trophy.
Insight: Tavares had a goal and an assist, but Stars' Jamie Benn recorded a hat trick and added an assist to pass Tavares by one point. Still, Tavares had a great season with 38 goals and 48 assists, playing in all 82 games.

Description: Predators center Filip Forsberg had a goal in the season finale on Saturday.
Insight: Forsberg finished the season with 26 goals and 37 assist. He should be taken much earlier in fantasy drafts than he was last fall.

Insight: Plekanec reached the 60-point plateau and led the Canadiens with six shots on Saturday. He was a quality fantasy option this season.

Insight: Huberdeau scored a goal in the season finale against the Devils, which means he had a goal in the last three games of the season. He averaged a ppg in the final 20 games of the season. Huberdeau finished with 15 goals and 39 assists in 79 games.

Description: Penguins center Brandon Sutter saved Pittsburgh's season, scoring a pair of goals against the Sabres on Saturday.
Insight: Sutter scored on a backhand shot in the second period and then added another goal when Daniel Winnik set him up with a wide open net. Sutter finished the season with 21 goals and 12 assists.

Insight: He keeps trucking along and now has 37 goals and 84 points through 81 games this season.

Insight: It was a huge win for Ottawa who kept their playoff hopes alive. Turris recorded a goal and an assist, along with two shots and a plus-two rating. Clarke MacArthur also had a goal and an assist, while Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored an empty-netter.
