Pekka Rinne, G10/25/2014 10:30:00 PM
Description: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne took his first loss in regulation, of the season.
Insight: It was also Nashville's first regulation loss as well. Rinne made 23 saves in a 3-0 loss, and is now 5-1-1 on the season. Rinne will continue to be an elite option in net, for fantasy owners.
James Neal, LW10/25/2014 1:19:00 PM
Description: Predators winger James Neal should have added motivation on Saturday facing the Penguins for the first time since the offseason trade.
Insight: Neal did not have a very good playoff season last spring, which resulted in a trade to Nashville for Patrick Hornqvist and Nick Spalling. Neal and Hornqvist should be motivated to play well on Saturday against their former teams. Neal has five goals in his last four games, including a hat trick on Thursday.

Pekka Rinne, G10/17/2014 10:45:00 PM
Description: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne shutout the Jets on Friday.
Insight: He stopped all 29 shots faced, and is well on his way in rebounding from an injury-plagued 2013-14 season. Rinne has potential to be an elite goaltender this season.
James Neal, LW10/17/2014 10:41:00 PM
Description: Nashville winger James Neal scored his first goal as a Predator on Friday against Winnipeg.
Insight: He added the insurance goal in Nashville's 2-0 win. Neal will most likely be unable to produce the way he did in Pittsburgh, but should be around the 50-point mark this season.
Viktor Stalberg, LW10/17/2014 3:20:00 PM
Description: Nashville left wing Viktor Stalberg (lower body) has been activated from the injured reserve.
Insight: Stalberg totaled just 18 points in 70 games last season and has little value to fantasy owners even when healthy.

Description: Predators forward Craig Smith had two assists on Tuesday against the Flames.
Insight: Smith finished plus-two on the day with two penalty minutes and five shots on goal. Nashville, however, came back to tie the game and won in a shootout.
Pekka Rinne, G10/14/2014 6:24:00 PM
Description: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne is expected to start on Tuesday night according to thepredatorial.com.

Pekka Rinne, G10/12/2014 12:50:00 AM
Description: Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne stopped 17 of 18 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over Dallas.
Insight: He looks healthy after the hip issues of a season ago. Rinne's 2-0 in his return and his solid net play should help all Nashville players improve on their plus/minus rating.
Patric Hornqvist, RWHot10/12/2014 12:47:00 AM
Description: Penguins new right winger Patric Hornqvist scored a goal and assist Saturday night.
Insight: Hornqvist also took a stunning nine shots. The 27-year-old scored a career-high 53 points last season, and we expect him exceed that total playing with Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.
Shea Weber, D10/9/2014 10:44:00 PM
Description: Predators defenseman Shea Weber scored a goal in the season opener against the Senators on Thursday.
Insight: Weber gave the Predators a 2-1 lead about halfway through the third period. Weber scored on a backhanded shot set up by Ryan Ellis and Paul Gaustad. The defenseman also had two penalty minutes and a plus-one rating. Nashville held on to win, 3-2.

Insight: Stalberg was expected to miss 2-4 weeks from the time of the injury and could return after another 10 days or so. he totaled just 18 points in 70 games last season and has little value to fantasy owners even when healthy. Nashville is a bit short-handed on the left side with Matt Cullen also sidelined.
Matt Cullen, LW10/7/2014 1:11:00 PM
Description: Nashville forward Matt Cullen has been placed on injured reserve.
Insight: The 37-year-old Cullen (10 G, 29 A) has fallen on the depth chart and shouldn't expect to see a lot of minutes this season. His fantasy value, therefore, is minimal.
Pekka Rinne, G10/2/2014 12:03:00 PM
Description: Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne looks healthy after the hip issues of a season ago.
Insight: Rinne's return should help all Nashville players improve on their plus/minus rating. We have him winning 31 times with a 2.42 GAA and 0.916 save percentage.
Roman Josi, D10/2/2014 11:59:00 AM
Description: Nashville defenseman Roman Josi should be paired with Shea Weber which will help him continue to post solid fantasy numbers.
Insight: Josi scored 13 goals and added 27 assists in 72 games last season and the 24-year-old should be able to at least match the 40-point total in 2014-15.
Olli Jokinen, C10/2/2014 11:56:00 AM
Description: Nashville center Olli Jokinen is getting up there in age and the once 90-point scorer will be lucky to put up half that total in 2014-15.
Insight: Jokinen is expected to play between Gabriel Bourque and Craig Smith on the second line to start the season, but the Predators are solid up the middle and there is no guarantee he'll be there all season particularly after Mike Fisher returns from an Achilles injury.
Craig Smith, C10/2/2014 11:52:00 AM
Description: Nashville forward Craig Smith put up career-best numbers last season and could continue to improve in 2014-15.
Insight: Smith should see plenty of ice time on the second line with Olli Jokinen and Gabriel Bourque and also on the power play where his speed is particularly useful with more open ice.
Shea Weber, D10/2/2014 11:46:00 AM
Description: Predators defenseman Shea Weber has always been a top scorer and that won't change in 2014-15
Insight: Weber posted 56 points last season and we have him with another 54 points in 2014-15. We see an improved plus/minus rating with the return of goalie Pekka Rinne.
Colin Wilson, C10/2/2014 11:45:00 AM
Description: Predators Colin Wilson is expected to play on the first line with Mike Ribeiro and newly-acquired James Neal.
Insight: Wilson is more of a assist guy than a scorer, but could develop into a 15-20 goal winger.
Mike Ribeiro, C10/2/2014 11:36:00 AM
Description: Nashville center Mike Ribeiro could end up being the top line center in between James Neal and Colin Wilson this season.
Insight: Ribeiro blamed off ice issues in Arizona for last season's weak production (16 goals, 31 assists) and we do believe he'll rebound.
James Neal, LW10/2/2014 11:33:00 AM
Description: Nashville winger James Neal will be in for a shock when he looks to his center and it will no longer be Evgeni Malkin or Sidney Crosby.
Insight: Neal's fantasy value has to take a hit depite being on the Predators' top line. We have him with 28 goals and 50 points starting alongside Mike Ribeiro and Colin Wilson. he posted 61 points in 59 games last season.
Patric Hornqvist, RW10/1/2014 11:46:00 AM
Description: Penguins new right winger Patric Hornqvist is poised to be one of the biggest fantasy sleepers this season.
Insight: Hornqvist is expected to skate on a scoring line with Evgeni Malkin and the team's top power-play line. The 27-year-old scored a career-high 53 points last season, and we expect him exceed that total by 10 points or more. Hornqvist could also challenge his career-high 30-goal mark he set back in 2009-2010 with Nashville.
Mike Fisher, C7/7/2014 10:00:00 PM
Description: Predators center Mike Fisher suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and will miss the next four-to-six months, according to predators.nhl.com.
Insight: While Fisher isn't great, he's the Predators top center and was expected to play with newly acquired winger James Neal. Either Matt Cullen or Colin Wilson will play with Neal while Fisher is out. Obviously, both are a big step down from Evgeni Malkin.
James Neal, LW6/27/2014 9:28:00 PM
Description: The Penguins have traded James Neal to Nashville for forwards Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling. SOURCE: Darren Dreger, TSN
Insight: Neal's fantasy value will never be higher than it was in Pittsburgh where he got to play alongside MVP winners Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Despite a weaker supporting cast, Neal is still a talented player and should score his fair share of goals for the Predators next season.
Roman Josi, D4/13/2014 11:02:00 PM
Description: Nashville defenseman Roman Josi had two points Sunday to reach 40 points for the first time.

Description: Nashville center Paul Gaustad suffered an upper-body injury in Wednesday's loss to Vancouver and is questionable for Friday's game against Calgary.

Description: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne (hip) is the scheduled starter for Tuesday's game against the Penguins.
Insight: Rinne has been out with a hip infection since October. The Predators will probably still give Carter Hutton some starts while Rinne works his way back, but Rinne should get the majority of the starts. He should be added in all leagues but isn't a recommended option Tuesday against the high-powered Penguins.
Pekka Rinne, G3/1/2014 11:28:00 AM
Description: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne (hip) made his first rehab start at AHL Milwaukee, stopping 16 of 17 shots.
Insight: Rinne has been out with a hip infection since October. He'll likely still need a week or more to get back into playing shape. Carter Hutton has been in net for most of the Nashville games of late and is 14-9-4 with a 2.84 GAA and .904 SV%, but when Rinne is ready the job is his.

Description: Nashville left wing Viktor Stalberg (upper body) has missed the past five games and is questionable for Saturday's game against Anaheim.

Insight: "He really hasn't done much on the ice," coach Barry Trotz said. "But he's starting to move around in terms of skating and getting the muscle memory of moving around on the ice. It hasn't been too punishing or anything like that. But it's not going to be a quick process. They're doing it very methodically and cautiously. This is for the long term." Carter Hutton has gone 6-1-1 in his last seven starts and Devan Dubnyk has made just two starts in three weeks since being acquired from Edmonton.

Description: Nashville defenseman Shea Weber (upper body) missed Thursday's practice and is questionable for Friday's game. SOURCE: Associated Press
Insight: Weber left Tuesday's game and it's not a good sign that he wasn't ready to practice even after having the off day Wednesday. Weber has 24 points in his last 26 games and would leave a big hole on fantasy rosters.

Michael Del Zotto, D1/22/2014 2:12:00 PM
Description: The Rangers have traded defenseman Michael Del Zotto to the Predators for defenseman Kevin Klein, according to Darren Dreger of tsn.ca.
Insight: Del Zotto did not earn the favor of new coach Alain Vigneault and was made a healthy scratch on many occasions this season. In 42 games, he has played a career-low 17:45 and generated two goals and 11 points in 42 games. The Predators have Shea Weber, Roman Josi and Seth Jones and aren't going to use Del Zotto on the power play, so he'll have limited fantasy appeal.

Description: Nashville defenseman Shea Weber was instrumental in the Predators' shootout win over the Flyers Thursday, as he had a goal and two assists.
Insight: Weber has provided four points over his last two games after experiencing a three-game drought, and he's scored at a 1.05 ppg pace since the beginning of December.
Devan Dubnyk, G1/15/2014 3:29:00 PM
Description: The Oilers have traded netminder Devan Dubnyk to the Predators for center Matt Hendricks. SOURCE: Pierre LeBrun, ESPN
Insight: He'll split time with Marek Mazanec and Carter Hutton in net. Dubnyk hasn't been particularly impressive. In fact, he's been the opposite of that with just a 3.36 GAA and a .894 save percentage in 32 games this season. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere.
Patric Hornqvist, RW1/12/2014 3:02:00 PM
Description: Nashville right wing Patric Hornqvist (lower body) will return to the lineup Sunday after missing two games, according to Willy Daunic of 1025thegame.com.
