Description: Predators winger James Neal scored two goals in Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday to help Nashville take a, 2-0, lead, but again Nashivlle could not hold an early lead against Chicago.
Insight: The Blackhawks came back to win, 4-3, and clinched the series. Neal played so well in the first 10 minutes, but he then went back to his old self, committing a silly penalty at the 12:09 mark in the first period. The Blackhawks scored on the power play, and that got them back into the game. Neal finished with four goals, an assist and eight penalty minutes in the series..

Description: Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne made 45 saves, but it wasn't enough in the triple overtime loss to the Blackhawks in Game 4 of the Western Conference on Tuesday.
Insight: Rinne was excellent in overtime, but Nashville was able to beat Blackhawks goaltender Scott Darling. On the game-winning goal, Rinne was screened and had no chance to stop the shot. Nashville returns home for Game 5 trailing in the series, 3-1.

Description: Predators center Mike Ribeiro scored his first goal of the playoffs on Sunday versus the Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Insight: Ribeiro scored about 30 seconds after Chicago scored its first goal of Game 3. The Blackhawks took another lead in the first minute of the second period, but again the Predators responded within 30 seconds to tie. Chicago, however, scored two more goals in the second period and won Game 3, 2-1. The Blackhawks lead the series, 2-1.

Description: Predators center Filip Forsberg broke the Blackhawks with his third period goal in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Friday.
Insight: Forsberg stole the puck from Duncan Keith right in front of Corey Crawford and hit the puck into the back of the net. At the time, Nashville was clinging to a one-goal lead, so the score put the Predators up by two. From there, Chicago got very sloppy on defense and allowed to more goals and lost, 6-2. The series is tied 1-1.

Insight: Smith scored to give Nashville the lead for good, 3-2, towards the end of the second period. It appear as if the game would be a nailbiter until the end, but Nashville unleashed three goals in the final eight minutes to win, 6-2.

Insight: Wilson opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal and then scored on the power-play as Nashville led, 3-0, after the first period. Chicago, however, scored the final four goals of the game, including the winner in double overtime.

Description: Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne continues his slump, losing on Tuesday, 3-2, to the Avalanche.
Insight: Rinne has lost his last three starts and allowed at least three goals in each of his last four games. He did lose two of those last three starts in overtime and the shootout, though, so for fantasy owners, they didn't count as losses. Despite the struggles, Rinne is still 41-16-6 with a 2.17 GAA and .923 save percentage this season.

Insight: Smith scored on the man advantage to tie the score at one about six and a half minutes into the third period. About a minute later, Viktor Stalberg scored the game-winner for Nashville. Smith has 22 goals and 18 assists with a plus-11 rating in 70 games this season.

Insight: Rinne has allowed just one goal in three straight games, so it appears he is out of his slump. The cold streak, however, went long enough that he is no longer the Vezina Trophy front runner and the Predators are clinging to just a two point lead in the Central Division.

Insight: Rinne allowed four goals again on Thursday. He has allowed at least three goals in his last four starts, all loses. In his last seven starts, Rinne is 1-5-1. Strangely, Rinne won five starts in a row before that. Rinne has still been superb this season, but he is losing his chance at the Vezina Trophy.

Insight: Fisher recorded four shots on net, which was third on the team. He scored on even strength in the second period. Fisher has 16 goals and 18 assists with a plus-12 rating in 44 games this season.

Insight: Pretty impressive feat for the Vezina Trophy candidate. Rinne made some big saves on Saturday afternoon, stopping 31-of-33 shots on goal, but allowed two goals in the shootout, doing Nashville in. He is still an impressive 34-8-3 on the season.

Insight: The only thing Rinne didn't do was record the shutout. He allowed just one goal, making 42 saves versus the Sharks. Rinne is now 34-7-2 this season and improved upon his .197 GAA and .931 save percentage, which were his numbers coming into Tuesday.

Insight: Forsberg scored, unassisted, on the man advantage with less than five minutes remaining in regulation. He then scored the game-winner in the shootout although fantasy owners really don't care about that. Forsberg has 18 goals and 30 assists with a plus-21 rating in 53 games this season.

Insight: Carter Hutton should see most of the work between the pipes, but he Predators did call up Marek Mazanec. Rinne has been fantastic this season, going 29-6-2 with a 1.96 GAA and .931 save percentage. Hutton is 0-3-2 this season while Mazanec was 8-10-0 last season.
