Description: Jets center Mark Scheifele recorded three points during Tuesday's victory against the Sabres.
Insight: he had two goals and an assist, along with five shots on goal, two penalty minutes, and a plus-two rating. Scheifele now has six goals and 16 points through 32 games, giving owners a reason to give him a look.
Description: Jets right winger Blake Wheeler had a goal and an assist in the victory over the Stars on Tuesday.
Insight: Wheeler scored his ninth goal of the season in the first period to give the Jets a, 2-1, lead. Wheeler then assisted Michal Frolik's short-handed goal towards the end of the second period. Wheeler was plus-two with two shots on net.
Description: Jets winger Dustin Byfuglien will move back to defense according to the Winnipeg Free Press.
Insight: Zach Bogosian, Grant Clitsome, and Tobias Enstrom are all out with injures, so Byfuglien will ehlp out on defense. This lowers his stock even though he probably will still be eligible to start as a winger in fantasy.
Description: Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec had another poor performance on Thursday.
Insight: Pavelec allowed four goals on 27 shots, which is a .852 save percentage. In six of his 18 games, Pavelec has posted a save percentage below .900. Despite the struggles, he has improved in November. His save percentage this month is .930.
Description: Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec recorded his first shutout of the season on Saturday.
Insight: Pavelec actually clinched the shutout before the victory against the Rangers. Pavelec did not allow a goal in regulation or overtime, and thus had a shutout, but he had to better Henrik Lundqvist in the shootout to win. He stopped all four shots he faced in the shootout, and finally the Jets scored. Pavelec made 38 saves in the shutout.
Description: Jets center Bryan Little scored his fourth goal of the season on Friday against the Lightning.
Insight: Little scored on the power play at the 5:33 mark of the second period. The goal made the game, 2-1, but Tampa Bay scored twice before the end of the second period to take a three-goal lead. Little has five points this season.
Description: Jets left wing Evander Kane is progressing ahead of schedule with his knee injury according to coach Paul Maurice.
Insight: An exact timetable has not been determined, but Maurice is certainly encouraged by his youg left winger's progress. Kane will likely return at some point in November, which we realize is a wide return widow being as November is a week away.
Description: Winnipeg left wing Andrew Ladd scored a goal and had six shots on goal, on Tuesday night.
Insight: It was a nice night for Ladd, who scored his first goal of the season. He is not a great fantasy option, as he plays on a poor team, but Ladd will have solid nights like this one, throughout the season. Dustin Byfuglien and Adam Lowry scored the Jets' other two goals on the night.
Description: Jets center Bryan Little will look to build off a solid performance from from the Jets' opener.
Insight: After scoring two goals on Thursday against Arizona, Winnipeg was shut out on Saturday night by the Sharks. Little scored two goals in the season-opener, and after producing a career-high 64 points last season, he will have a great opporunity to improve on those numbers in 2014-15.
Description: Jets left wing Evander Kane will at least miss 7-10 games with his knee injury and doctors will reevaluate him in two weeks according to the Winnipeg Sun.
Insight: That is actually positive news because we all know that knee injuries can be pretty tricky. Hopefully, we get some more positive news in two weeks. Kane is an up-and-coming player in the league.
Description: Winnipeg left wing Andrew Ladd couldn't match his lockout-shortened per game production (.95 ppg) last season, returning to a .69 ppg level which is in line with his career numbers.
Insight: Ladd finished the season with 23 goals, 31 assists (54 points), 57 PIM and 189 SOG in 78 games and we have him posting 51 points in 2014-15 playing alongside Bryan Little and Dustin Byfuglien.
Description: Jets center Bryan Little posted a career best 64 points last season, but still might find himself on the second line in 2014-15.
Insight: That would necessarily be a horrible thing as we like the Jets second line wingers - Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien. We have projected a slight regression to 58 points (19 G, 39 A) this season.
Description: Jets left wing Evander Kane played just 63 games last season, but took 250 shots - almost four per game and he should continue at that pace in 2014-15.
Insight: We have projected Kane to post 26 goals, one off his career best in 2011-12, we'd just like to see him get his plus/minus rating back into the black. He'll play alongside Blake Wheeler and center Mark Scheifele.
Description: Jets right winger Blake Wheeler should remind multi-sport fantasy owners of outfielder Hunter Pence.
Insight: Like Pence, Wheeler gets his production not by being spectacular, but by producing on a daily basis and playing every game. He's played every game over the past two seasons and posted 69 points last season (28 G, 41 A) with a +4 rating. He'll play on the top line with Evander Kane and Mark Scheifele.
Description: Winnipeg left wing Andrew Ladd (elbow) will miss the final two games of the season, according to Patrick Williams of nhl.com.
Insight: Ladd will finish the season with 23 goals, 31 assists (54 points), 57 PIM and 189 SOG in 78 games. He had 18 goals and 28 assists (46 points) in 48 games last season, but that ppg average was an outlier.
Description: Winnipeg left wing Evander Kane could be a healthy scratch Saturday, according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun.
Insight: Kane stayed on the ice after the Jets morning skate ended, which is a typical action for a player that will be scratched. Kane has played just 60 games this season and produced 17 goals and 39 points, a disappointing total for a player with his talent.
Description: Winnipeg left wing Andrew Ladd was feeling it Wednesday against the Avalanche.
Insight: Ladd made his presence felt with two goals and six shots on goal. Because one of those goals was on the power play, he still had a -1 rating for the game. Ladd's 21 goals this season are his most since 2012.
Description: Winnipeg goalie Ondrej Pavelec (lower body) will miss Wednesday's game, according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun.
Insight: Pavelec's 2.98 GAA and .902 SV% this season are extremely close to his career 2.98 GAA and .906 SV%. Al Montoya has outplayed him this season, posting a 2.18 GAA and a .924 SV%, and will start Wednesday.
Description: Winnipeg defenseman Dustin Byfuglien is participating in pre-game warmups and will play Monday, according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun. He was a game-time decision after leaving late in Sunday's game.
Insight: Byfuglien has accumulated six goals, two assists and 22 SOG over his last five games and is one point away from tying his career high of 53, a mark he reached in both 2010-11 and 2011-12. His 19 goals and 236 SOG lead all defensemen.
Description: Jets winger Blake Wheeler had four assists Sunday against the Stars.
Insight: After recording five goals and 17 points in his first 28 games, Wheeler has picked up 18 goals and 39 points in his last 41. With 13 games remaining, Wheeler is nine points away from setting a new career high.
Description: Winnipeg goalie Ondrej Pavelec will miss Monday's game against St. Louis with a lower body injury.
Insight: Pavelec was expected to miss at least two games with the injury and this is No. 2. Al Montoya (7-2 win over Dallas on Sunday) should get another start with recently called up Michael Hutchinson as backup.
Description: Jets winger Andrew Ladd scored the game-winning goal Sunday against the Blackhawks.
Insight: Ladd has come up with seven points in his last eight games after going the first four games of January without one. In 54 games, he has 12 goals and 36 points, down from 18 goals and 46 points in 48 games last season.
Description: Jets center Bryan Little is on a five-game scoring streak and has produced eight points during it.
Insight: Little had a strong first two months of the season before slumping in December. Overall, he's having the best season of his career with 42 points (16 goals) in 51 games. His career high in points is 51.
Description: Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba played the role of hero Saturday in a come-from-behind win over Edmonton.
Insight: Trouba tied the game at one with a shorthanded goal early in the third period and provided the game-winner just 70 seconds into overtime. The 19-year-old is second among rookie defensemen with seven goals this season.
Description: Here's a new one. The Jets are going to try defenseman Dustin Byfuglien out at forward Saturday against the Blue Jackets. SOURCE: Winnipeg Sun
Insight: Why not, right? He's leading the team in scoring with 34 points this season. If Byfuglien can get more scoring opportunities as a forward while still serving fantasy owners as a defenseman, his value will be off the charts.
Description: Blake Wheeler scored two of Winnipeg's six goals Friday in a 6-4 Jets victory.
Insight: Wheeler is quietly having a very productive month. Since the start of December, he's posted nine goals and three assists to go with a +1 rating. He had just five goals in his previous two months combined including zero in the month of November.
