Description: Maple Leafs right winger Phil Kessel finished the 2014-15 season with a goal and an assist against the Canadiens.
Insight: Kessel may be the biggest disappointment in fantasy hockey this season. He had 25 goals and 36 assists to finish with the lowest point total since he was 22 years old, excluding the lockout season. He was also minus-34.
Description: Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier made 43 saves in the, 3-2, shootout victory over the Senators on Sunday.
Insight: The only goals Bernier allowed versus Ottawa came on the power play, so he looked very good on Sunday. He also stopped five-of-six shootout attempts. He, however, is still just 21-28-6 this season.
Description: Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier had a decent game versus the Wild, but he still lost, 2-1.
Insight: It's just been a bad season overall for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It would probably be best for all fantasy owners to forget about owning anyone on this team. Despite just allowing two goals on Monday, Bernier dropped to 20-26-6 on the season.
Description: Maple Leafs right winger Phil Kessel finally scored in the month of March.
Insight: It took eight games in March for Kessel to find the back of the net. It also took a penalty shot to do it. He has two assists in the month as well with a minus-12 rating. Things have been better for Kessel and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Description: Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri will miss the team's next two games according to The Globe and Mail.
Insight: Kadri is not injured. He was late for a team meeting the other day, and team president Brendan Shanahan said there have been other cases of misconduct. Kadri should be back for Saturday's game versus the Canucks.
Description: Maple Leafs winger James van Riemsdyk had a goal and an assist in the loss to the Islanders on Monday.
Insight: The winger assisted Peter Holland's goal in the second period to give Toronto a, 2-0, lead and then gave the Maple Leafs another two-goal lead when he scored in the third period, but the Islanders scored twice to tie the game at three. New York then won in overtime, 3-2. van Riemsdyk has 23 goals and 25 assists in 67 games this season, but he is also minus-25 this year.
Description: Maple Leafs center Peter Holland scored the game-winning goal in the third period as Toronto defeated Florida, 3-2, on Tuesday.
Insight: Perhaps this victory will allow the Maple Leafs to forget about Phil Kessel ranting to the media and TSN posting a fan tweet joking about Joffrey Lupul sleeping with Dion Phaneuf's wife. Unlikely, though, as it's been a rough season in Toronto. The Maple Leafs scored two goals in the final period to erase a one-goal deficit versus the Panthers. Holland had 10 goals and 10 assists in 54 games this season.
Description: The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Daniel Winnik in exchange for Zach Sill, a 2016 second-round pick and 2015 fourth-round pick.
Insight: Winnik is an immediate upgrade for a Penguins team that was looking for depth. Winnik had seven goals and 18 assists with a plus-15 rating in 58 games in Toronto. He will already have the second-best plus/minus on the Penguins. Toronto will pay half of Winnik's salary, and he will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Description: Defenseman Cody Franson has been traded to Nashville according to NHL.com.
Insight: Franson's Toronto teammate Mike Santorelli will join him in Nashville as the Predators send the Maple Leafs Olli Jokinen, Brandan Leipsic and a 2015 first-round pick. This is a good trade for both sides, and it should benefit Franson's fantasy value. He goes from the second-most scored upon team in the Eastern Conference to the least scored upon team in the Western Conference.
Description: Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly scored two goals, but it still wasn't enough versus the Rangers on Tuesday.
Insight: Toronto fell to New York, 5-4. Rielly is all the sudden a goal scoring, finding the back of the net three times in the last two games. He has just six goals and 12 assists in 54 games this season.
Description: Maple Leafs winger Joffrey Lupul is expected to be activate for Thursday's game.

Description: Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri had a goal and two assists in the, 5-3, victory over the Stars on Tuesday.
Insight: Kadri has not lived up to his sleeper pick potential this season. He scored 20 goals and 30 assists last season, but through 24 games this season, he has six goals and eight assists. Hopefully the nice game on Tuesday gets him going.
Description: Maple Leafs winger Joffrey Lupul scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's victory over the Stars.
Insight: Lupul missed the beginning of the season, but in his 12 games since returning, he has five goals and two assists. His plus/minus, however, is still minus-one. Despite both of his goals Tuesday being were even strength, Lupul still finished with an even rating.
Description: Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer lost his second game of the season, Tuesday versus Arizona.
Insight: He stopped 30-of-33 shots on goal, and is now 3-2-0 with a 2.59 GAA and .925 save percentage. Reimer will continue to split time with Jonathan Bernier, as we move forward. Defensemen Cody Franson and Dion Phaneuf scored Toronto's two goals.
Description: Toronto left wing David Booth (foot) could be back on the ice soon.
Insight: He has surpassed his estimated four-week recovery time, but has yet to be activated from injured reserve. However, that activation could come any day, as Booth has shedded his walking boot, and is practicing with the team, daily.

Description: Maple Leafs right winger Phil Kessel posted a goal and a pair of assists in Sunday's 6-3 win over the New York Rangers.
Insight: Kessel and linemates James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak totaled three goals and four assists on the night. After his 80-point season of a year ago, much is expected from him including an improvement on his plus/minus rating which has yet to be in the plus in eight seasons.
Description: Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier is expected to start on Saturday with backup goaltender James Reimer getting the start on Sunday against the Rangers.
Insight: Reimer is due a start because of the back-to-back games, but Bernier needs to play better than he did on Wednesday in the season opener. He allowed four goals on 32 shots. Bernier should rebound on Saturday.
Description: Toronto goalie Jonathan Bernier allowed four goals on 32 shots as the Maple Leafs lost to the Canadiens, 4-3, on opening night Wednesday.
Insight: Bernier was not sharp and neither was his counterpart Carey Price. Bernier yielded two goals in the third period, including the game-winner in the final minute of regulation. His next matchup comes against the Sidney Crosby and the Penguins on Saturday.
Description: Maple Leafs right winger Phil Kessel finished with two shots on goal and a minus-two rating on opening night against the Canadiens.
Insight: Not exactly the way Kessel was hoping to start the season. Toronto tied the game at the 17:41 mark of the third period only to allow the game-winning goal inside of one minute left in regulation. Kessel had 20 minutes and 31 seconds of ice time, including three minutes and three seconds on the power play.
Description: Toronto center Nazem Kadri could be in line for a breakout year.
Insight: He had a career-high 50 points (20 goals, 30 assists) last season. And playing at 24-years-old this year, will look to increase those numbers. Kadri is a sleeper pick, that owners should target atthe end of drafts.
Description: Toronto winger Joffrey Lupul is looking to bounce back this season.
Insight: He still had 22 goals and 22 assists last year, but also had a -15 rating. If Lupul is able to stay healthy, he will have the opportunity to produce 60 points. Target him, staring around the 12th round.
Description: Toronto right wing Phil Kessel should be targeted early in fantasy drafts.
Insight: Kessel is a machine and should have no issue duplicating his 80-point mark from a season ago. Look to draft him in the second round, while targeting him at the end of the first, is not a ridiculous move as well.
Description: Maple Leafs center Tyler Bozak is coming off a career year.
Insight: While playing only 58 games, Bozak produced a career-high in numbers all across the board (19 goals, 30 assists, +2 rating). Heading into drafts, Bozak should be considered a sleeper, with potential to hit the 60-point mark, if he can stay healthy.
