Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin is questionable for Tuesday's game against Ottawa due to illness.

Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin has gone cold during his team's four-game losing streak.
Insight: Seguin picked up an assist in Saturday's loss, but over the last four games, he has just two assists and the Stars have lost all four games. Seguin should break out of the slump soon because he is having a good season, averaging over a ppg.
Description: Stars left wing Antonie Roussel scored a goal in Tuesday's loss.
Insight: Dallas fell behind, 3-0, in the second period but rallied back to score the next two goals. Roussel had the second goal, however, the Blue Jackets scored late in the third period to seal the victory. Roussel has 10 goals and 10 assists in 39 games.
Description: Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen stopped every shot but one as Dallas defeated Calgary, 2-1, on Friday.
Insight: Lehtonen made 21 saves on 22 shots which is good enough for a .955 save percentage. He improved his record to 13-7-5 but his other numbers aren't great. Lehtonen has a 2.89 GAA and .907 save percentage this season.
Description: Stars winger Jamie Benn scored a goal and an assist to finish plus-one as the Stars beat the Flames, 2-1.
Insight: Benn scored his ninth goal of the year exactly four minutes into the second period. He then assisted Trevor Daley's about eight minutes later. Benn has 19 assists to go with his nine goals this season.
Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin scored a goal on Saturday to retake the points lead.
Insight: Earlier Saturday, Jakub Voracek of Philadelphia scored two points to take the league lead. Seguin scored the first goal of the game and then assisted the next goal to retake first place. Seguin has 38 points, including 23 goals, which also leads the league.
Description: Stars coach Lindy Ruff moved Jason Spezza back to the top line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, and Spezza responded with a goal and an assist on Saturday.
Insight: Spezza assisted Seguin's goal to start the game and then fewer than three minutes later, Seguin assisted Spezza's score. Spezza has six goals and 18 assists this season, and he is a must-start when he is on the top line. Unfortunately, he also comes with a minus-nine rating.
Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin scored a goal in the team's loss on Thursday as he maintains his lead in the category.
Insight: Seguin has 19 goals this season, but it hasn't helped the Stars as they have dropped four in a row and fallen into last place in the Central division. Seguin also has 13 assists and a plus-three rating this season.
Description: Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen stopped 37-of-41 shots on goal, in Saturday's victory against Los Angeles.

Description: Stars winger Jamie Benn recorded three points in Saturday's win over the Kings.
Insight: Benn had two goals and an assist, along with four shots on goal, two penalty minutes, and a +2 rating. Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin scored two goals within a minute of each other in the second period to help Dallas capture a much-needed victory over Arizona, 4-3.
Insight: Seguin's back-to-back goals erased a two-goal Arizona lead. Dallas took their own lead on Erik Cole's score with less than five minutes left in regulation. Arizona tied the game, again, a minute later, but then the Stars scored shorthanded to win. Seguin's second goal came on the power play. He is tied with Rick Nash for the league lead in goals scored with 12.
Description: Stars center Jason Spezza will continue to center the top-line alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin.
Insight: Seguin has moved to right wing to make room for Spezza on the top line. It has paid huge dividends as the Dallas first line is one of the best units in the league. Benn has scored in five straight games and Spezza has points in the last four contests. Obviously, Benn, Spezza and Seguin are must-starts.
Description: Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen made 25 stops on 27 shots against the Devils on Friday.
Insight: Lehtonen and the Stars won in a shootout. Lehtonen allowed the Devils to tie the game with about eight minutes left in the third, but he stopped both shots he face in the shootout. He is 4-0-2 with a 2.83 GAA.
Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin continued to stay hot on Tuesday night.
Insight: Fresh off earning the first star of the week honors, Seguin notched his fifth goal of the season, along with having six shots on goal. He now has 10 points on the season, and is showing what a dynamic player he really is.
Description: Dallas center Jason Spezza will play on the Stars top line Tuesday.
Insight: Playing alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin can only help his fantasy value. Spezza may not be a 90-point scorer like he was in Ottawa for so many seasons, but he's got seven points in his first five games.
Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin had four assists on Saturday against the Flyers.
Insight: Seguin has eight points in his last three games, four goals and four assists. His rating is also a plus-six. Hopefully no Bruins fans are watching this guy play because he has been spectacular.
Description: Stars defenseman Patrik Nemeth left Saturday's game against the Flyers with an arm injury.
Insight: Flyers forward R.J. Umberger lost his balance, which caused his skate to come up into the air and cut Nemeth's wrist. It is difficult to tell how serious the injury is, but there did not appear to be any blood on the ice. Nemeth will, however, not return against the Flyers.
Description: Stars center Tyler Seguin scored a hat trick on Tuesday against the Blue Jackets.

Description: Stars D Sergei Gonchar suffered a fractured ankle and is expected to miss 3-5 weeks
Insight: The 40-year-old Gonchar is no longer the 50-60 point guy he once was in Washington and Pittsburgh and his fantasy value at this point is limited. Stars' young defencemen like Jamie Oleksiak should see ice time for the next month.
Description: Right winger Ales Hemsky is destined to play with a good center in Dallas, most likely Speeza on the second line.
Insight: Hemsky and Spezza had success playing together last season after Edmonton traded Hemsky to Ottawa. The 31-year-old winger produced 43 points last season between the two teams and hopefully can improve on an ugly -15 rating.
Description: Stars young winger Valeri Nichushkin has a prime spot on the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin and his numbers can only go one way ... up.
Insight: The 19-year-old Nichushkin, the 2013 10th overall pick, managed 14 goals and 20 assists last season. As long as he's with the two "star" Stars he should be an easy 20-20 guy in his second season. And if he gets significant power play time he could have a breakout season.
Description: Dallas center Tyler Seguin came into his own in his first season with Dallas and alongside winger Jamie Benn became a dynamic top line.
Insight: The 22-year-old produced career-best numbers in goals (37), assists (47), points (84), PPG (11) and shots (294). He also averaged a career high 19:21 minutes on ice. If Valeri Nichushkin continues to improve as the third member of the line, these numbers could go even higher.
Description: A lot is expected of Dallas Stars winger Jamie Benn in 2014-15 after a 79-point season in 81 games last year.
Insight: The 25-year-old benefited from Dallas' addition of Tyler Seguin and posted career-highs in goals, assists, plus/minus, PIM and shots. After a solid Team Canada performance we are projecting more personal records with 39 goals and 83 points.
Description: Right winger Ales Hemsky signed with the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.
Insight: The Stars gave him $12 million over three years. Hemsky presumably will play with newly acquired center Jason Spezza on the team's second line. Hemsky and Spezza had success playing together last season after the Oilers traded Hemsky to Ottawa. The 30-year-old winger tallied four goals and 13 assists in 20 games with the Sens.
Description: The Senators have traded Jason Spezza to the Stars along with Ludvig Karlsson for Alex Guptill, Nicholas Paul, Alex Chiasson and a 2015 second-round pick.
Insight: This is the second straight offseason the Stars have acquired a frontline center. Spezza is likely to center the team's second line with free-agent acquisition Ales Hemsky at right wing. He shouldn't lose any fantasy value from the move.
Description: The Stars did not have Jamie Benn (rest) for their regular season finale.
Insight: Benn didn't miss a game all season so the Stars gave him Sunday off to rest for the playoffs. The 24-year-old benefited from Dallas' addition of Tyler Seguin in 2013-14 and had a career-high 79 points (34 goals, 45 assists) and 279 SOG.
Description: According to nhl.com, Dallas left wing Ray Whitney (lower body) is out Friday and questionable for Sunday's regular season finale, according to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
Insight: Whitney will miss his fourth straight game Friday. The 41-year-old has been able to play 69 games this season, but he has just nine goals and 23 assists, a far cry from the 24 goals and 53 assists he put up just two seasons ago with the Coyotes.

Description: Dallas center Tyler Seguin (general soreness) played Saturday and has a few days to rest.
Insight: Seguin was a game-time decision against the Blues but ended up skating 20 minutes. He's been one of the best scorers in hockey in 2013-14, producing a career-high 76 points in 72 appearances. The Stars have off until Tuesday night at Washington.
Description: Stars right wing Colton Sceviour found the net twice Saturday in a win against St. Louis.
Insight: Sceviour has played well in his brief tenure in the NHL. In 18 contests, he already has seven goals and three helpers. That extrapolates to 32 goals and 14 assists over a full 82-game schedule.

Insight: Seguin is dealing with general fatigue and soreness. He's been one of the best scorers in hockey in 2013-14, producing a career-high 76 points in 71 appearances. If Seguin does sit out Saturday, it would be his third absence of the season.
Description: Dallas right wing Erik Cole is questionable for Friday's game against Nashville due to an upper body injury.
Insight: Cole's 269 consecutive games played streak came to an end on Saturday and he's missed a total of three games so far. He has 16 goals and 13 points in 69 games, but the -17 rating hurts his fantasy value.
Description: Stars netminder Kari Lehtonen (concussion) will be available for Tuesday's game, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Insight: It's unknown if Lehtonen will start Tuesday against the Penguins, but we know he'll at least be available as a backup after the Stars demoted Cristopher Nilstorp on Monday. Lehtonen suffered a concussion last Saturday when Minnesota's Erik Haula ran him over, causing his helmet to fly off and his head to hit the crossbar.
Description: Dallas center Cody Eakin (lower body) missed Friday's game and is questionable for Sunday's game against Winnipeg.
Insight: he did skate Saturday, but only before the team practicve, so he's probably going to sit out again. The 22-year-old Eakin has a career-high 13 goals, 29 points and 125 SOG in 65 games this season.

He’s way ahead of where I thought he would be." Lehtonen suffered a concussion last Saturday when Minnesota's Erik Haula ran him over, causing his helmet to fly off and his head to hit the crossbar. Tim Thomas made his first start with the team Tuesday at St. Louis and will continue to handle the net until Lehtonen returns.
Description: The last we heard, Stars center Rich Peverley was resting comfortably after his cardiac event Monday against Columbus. SOURCE: Stars.nhl.com
Insight: He's still undergoing tests. According to head coach Lindy Ruff, Peverley (seven goals, 23 assists in 62 games) asked how much time was left in the first period as soon as he regained consciousness. Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with Peverley and his family.

Description: Dallas left wing Jamie Benn has scored a goal in five straight games.
Insight: Benn recorded just 18 points over 29 games from Nov. 21 to Jan. 20, but he's come up with 10 points in his last six games. With 22 goals, 50 points and 191 SOG in 55 games, Benn is on pace for the best season of his five-year career.

Insight: It's his first clean slate of the season and the 14th of Ellis' career. Ellis has only played in 13 games this season and when he has, his GAA has barely been below three (2.94). Fantasy owners should only consider him in the event of a Kari Lehtonen injury.
