Insight: Plekanec had been the first center option for the penalty kill, but Manny Malhotra is healthy and has taken over that role. That allows Plekanec to be much more offensive. He has three goals, seven shots on net and a plus-two rating in the first two games this season.

Insight: Playing overly aggressive defense, Toronto left Subban wide open in the slot, and the defenseman capitalized, scoring the third goal of the game for Montreal. Subban had over 25 minutes of ice time, including over three minutes on the power play and nearly two minutes on the penalty kill.

Insight: Price gave up three goals on 27 shots on Wednesday against the Maple Leafs. Montreal was nursing a 3-2 lead with less than four minnutes to go when he failed to cover a puck in the crease, which eventually found the back of the net. The Canadiens ended up scoring in the final minute of regulation to win, 4-3.
