Week 16 Player Fantasy Rankings - Quarterbacks

By Jesse Pantuosco, Fantasy Sports Writer

Philadelphia, PA (Sports - Miami doesn't always beat New England. But when they do, fantasy owners tend to take notice.

Peyton Manning couldn't do it. Neither could Drew Brees. But somehow, 25-year- old Texas A&M product Ryan Tannehill was able to out-duel Tom Brady. And he did it with relative ease.

Tannehill's three-touchdown effort Sunday against the Pats took most fantasy owners by surprise. Unless, of course, you saw him play the week before when he beat up Pittsburgh for three touchdowns at a snowy Heinz Field.

Suddenly, the 8-6 Dolphins are in the hunt for a division title. And even if they fall short of that (New England can clinch the AFC East with a win in Baltimore this week), they can still get the final wild card spot if they win out.

This passing game had a lot of question marks in the beginning but now thanks to the emergence of Charles Clay (684 yards, 6 TD) and the incredible consistency of slot man Brian Hartline (team-leading 72 catches), the aerial attack is really taking shape in Miami. Add in the big play ability of Mike Wallace (867 yards, 4 TD) and we're looking at an offensive juggernaut.

Tannehill wasn't great against Buffalo the first time around (3 TD, 2 INT, 194 yds in Week 7) but a lot has changed since then. In two quarterback leagues, Tannehill will certainly be worth a look this week. You can probably grab him off waivers as Tannehill is owned in just 17.7 percent of ESPN leagues.
