Week 15 Player Fantasy Rankings - Defenses

By Thomas J. Harrigan, Fantasy Sports Writer

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars proved in Week 14 that no defensive matchup is a sure thing.

The Oakland Raiders accounted for -1 fantasy points at New York, and the Houston Texans had just three at Jacksonville.

That doesn't mean the New Orleans Saints (at St. Louis), Philadelphia Eagles (at Minnesota) and Buffalo Bills (at Jacksonville) aren't good options in Week 15, but fantasy owners shouldn't play them over proven top-five units like the Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, especially when all four have favorable matchups as well.

Carolina hosts the Jets, Kansas City travels to Oakland, Seattle goes to New York to play the Giants and Arizona heads to Tennessee.

San Francisco (at Tampa Bay) rounds out our top-five this week. The 49ers have given up an average of 13 points per game over their last 10 games while allowing no more than 23 points in any contest during that span.
