Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic has been the biggest beneficiary of Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler missing time.
Insight: Mirotic scored 26 points in the victory over the Thunder. He has scored at least 23 points and grabbed at least eight rebounds in the last three games. If owners need scoring and rebounding, go pickup Mirotic right now.
Description: Thunder star small forward Kevin Durant's foot has improved, but he still will not play on Thursday versus the Bulls.
Insight: Durant went through some shooting drills Thursday morning and looked good. He, however, still has no return date. Until then, the masked assassin, Russell Westbrook, should continue to dominate the NBA.
Description: Pacers forward Paul George did not give NBA.com a date for his return when asked about it on Thursday.
Insight: "I said I was hopeful after two weeks of working out that I'd be in game-playing shape, but there's still no deadline." The good news is George hasn't felt any pain while practicing. We will continue to track George's progress. In deeper leagues, he is a must-stash player.
Description: Lakers forward Ed Davis had a double-double off the bench on Wednesday.
Insight: Davis shot 70 percent from the field on his way to 14 points and 12 rebounds. He also had three steals and a block. Davis is only valuable in deeper leagues, averaging 8.2 ppg and 7.4 rpg this season.
Description: Pelicans forward Anthony Davis did not ease his way back into the lineup, playing 42 minutes on Wednesday and scoring a team-high 39 points.
Insight: Davis was 17-for-30 from the field with 13 rebounds. He also had eight blocks, three steals and two assists. Davis has cooled off and been hurt lately, but he has the potential for these types of games every single night.
Description: Memphis power forward Zach Randolph had 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the, 102-100, victory over the Rockets on Wednesday.
Insight: Randolph has cooled off since his hot January as he averaged just 14.4 ppg in February. He has averaged 10.5 ppg in the last two games. It is more likely Randolph stays at his current pace as opposed to returning to his January numbers.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James had a double-double with 29 points and 14 assists versus the Raptors on Wednesday.
Insight: James was 9-of-16 from the field, including 3-for-6 from the 3-point line. He also had six rebounds. James has been playing great, averaging 33.8 ppg, 7.0 apg, 7.0 rpg, 2.3 spg, and 1.3 bpg in his last four games.
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors shot 70 percent from the field as he had a team-high 16 points in the one-point loss to the Celtics on Wednesday.
Insight: Trey Burke also had 16 points off the bench. Favors also contributed five rebounds, two assists and a block. Favors has been good lately, averaging 18.4 ppg and 8.4 rpg in the last five games.
Description: Hornets forward Marvin Williams had 18 points and seven rebounds in the, 115-91, victory over the Nets on Wednesday.
Insight: Williams was 5-of-8 from the field, including 4-for-5 at the 3-point line. He also had an assist and a block. Williams isn't fantasy relevant in standard leagues, however, averaging just 6.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 1.2 apg.
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington is out on Wednesday versus the Thunder with an elbow injury.
Insight: Covington should return this weekend, but with the 76ers track record of sitting players, it would be all that surprising if he sits again. JaKarr Sampson will start until Covington returns to the court.
Description: Magic small forward Tobias Harris is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Suns.
Insight: Harris just can't get over this knee injury. He was limited in practice on Tuesday and is a game-time decision. If he doesn't play, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo will see more opportunities.
Description: Rockets forward Terrence Jones continued his strong play since returning from injury.
Insight: Jones missed over 40 games with a leg injury, but was a top-25 option before the injury. He went 8-of-11 for 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and one turnover during Tuesday's loss to Hawks, and simply needs to active everywhere.
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass scored a team-high 15 points during Tuesday's 110-79 loss to the Cavaliers.
Insight: It was not a pretty sight for Boston, as Bass and Isaiah Thomas were the only two Boston players to record double-figures in points. Bass also had five boards, one assist, and three turnovers, while Thomas totaled 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried started during Tuesday's victory and posted a double-double.
Insight: Faried should benefit from former head coach Brian Shaw being fired, as his rotation was very unpredictable. Faried finished with 14 points, 14 boards, two blocks, and one turnover, while shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line.
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was fantastic during Monday's victory against the 76ers.
Insight: He went 12-of-24 from the floor and 10-of-10 from the line for 35 points, nine rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, two steals, and two turnovers. DeRozan is still ranked outside the top 130 however.
Description: Clippers forward Matt Barnes left Sunday's game versus the Bulls with a right hamstring injury and is doubtful for Monday's game against Minnesota
Insight: Barnes is averaging 9.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.5 apg so his fantasy value is limited. The injury could force the Clippers to go with a three-guard lineup using Jamal Crawford. They really don't need a rebounder at the position, DeAndre Jordan is grabbing every rebound anyway.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler suffering a left elbow sprain when Clippers' DeAndre Jordan collided with him on a screen and will miss the next 3-4 weeks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Add the Butler injury to Derrick Rose's and the Bulls are in big trouble in the backcourt. That's 20.2 ppg and 18.4 ppg, respectively, out of the lineup. Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell will divide up the minutes.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll was one of four starters rested in Saturday's game, but should be ready to go Tuesday.
Insight: He was back at practice Monday. Carroll is averaging over 31 mpg and the team gave him time off to get ready for the playoffs. You can do that when you own a 13 1/2 game lead in your division. Beware, it will likely happen again before the season ends.
Description: Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari scored a team-high 21 points during Sunday's loss versus New Orleans.
Insight: He knocked down two 3-pointers and shot 7-of-18 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line. Gallinari played 32 minutes in a start at small forward and has now scored in double-figures in six consecutive games.
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans scored a team-high 22 points during Sunday's victory against the Nuggets.
Insight: Evans shot 7-of-14 from the field and 8-of-11 from the line. He also chipped in seven assists, seven rebounds, one steal, and five turnovers. Evans will continue to start at point with Jrue Holiday sidelined.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka posted a double during Sunday's victory against the Lakers.
Insight: The Thunder were shorthanded with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant sidelined, so they needed Ibaka's production. He finished with 18 points, 14 boards, and three blocks. Enes Kanter also had a double-double, with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James was an absolute beast, but everbody will be talking about his missed free throws fruing Sunday's overtime loss to the Rockets.
Insight: Not only was James just 3-of-11 from the line, but he also missed two of them that would have given Cleveland the lead with under five seconds left in overtime. He finished 15-of-35 from the field for 37 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four 3-pointers, three steals, three blocks, and three turnovers.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson was seen in a walking boot after the loss against the Clippers on Sunday according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Gibson did not play versus the Clippers on Sunday after rolling his ankle on Friday. He should be considered doubtful for Tuesday's game. For owners needing a replacement for Gibson, Nikola Mirotic led the team with 29 points on Sunday.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler did not return on Sunday after suffering a left elbow sprain when Clippers' DeAndre Jordan collided with him on a screen.
Insight: Butler finished the game shooting 3-of-9 from the field with 10 points, two assists, two rebounds and two 3-pointers. Without him, the Bulls really struggled on offense, scoring just 17 points in the final quarter. Butler should be considered questionable for Tuesday.
Description: Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic came off the bench to score 29 points, scoring 16 points in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough as Chicago fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 96-86.
Insight: Mirotic nearly had a double-double with nine rebounds. He was 11-of-23 from the field, including 2-for-7 at the 3-point line. Mirotic has been forgotten in fantasy realms recently, but with this game, he should resurface as a possible waiver wire add. With Derrick Rose injured and Jimmy Butler leaving on Sunday, Mirotic is one of the best offensive options for Chicago.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler left Sunday's game versus the Clippers holding his left arm and his return is questionable. UPDATE: Butler has a left elbow sprain and is questionable to return.
Insight: Butler also left the Bulls' bench to go back to the locker room. Butler suffered the apparent arm injury when he ran into DeAndre Jordan on a hard screen. Check back for updates.
Description: Clippers forward Matt Barnes left Sunday's game versus the Bulls with a hamstring injury.
Insight: Barnes was trying to stretch out his hamstring on the sideline. ESPN's Doris Burke reported he should return, so fantasy owners have nothing to worry about for now. That's also good news for the Clippers, who have a very thin bench.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson is not playing on Sunday versus the Clippers.
Insight: Gibson reinjured his ankle during Friday's game and was limping pretty severely on the sidelines afterward. Pau Gasol is returning, so he, Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic will see a ton of minutes on Sunday.
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors recorded a double-double in the victory over the Bucks on Saturday.
Insight: Favors has 17 double-doubles this season. He had 16 points and 12 rebounds with three blocks and three steals on Saturday. Favors shot 7-of-11 from the field. He should be owned in all standard leagues as he averaged 17.1 ppg and 7.7 rpg in February.
Description: Suns forward Marcus Morris came off the bench and led the team in scoring as Phoenix lost to San Antonio, 101-74.
Insight: Morris shot 50 percent, hitting 3-of-4 from the 3-point line on his way to 19 points. He also had seven rebounds, a block and a steal. Morris isn't a big splash fantasy player, but he did average 12.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg while shooting 47.6 percent from the field.
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard recorded his first double-double in over a month on Saturday.
Insight: Leonard had 22 points and 10 rebounds with three steals and two blocks. He shot 50 percent from the field and went 4-for-4 at the line. Leonard had a subpar February, averaging 13.5 ppg and 6.1 rpg, but hopefully this game gets him going in March.
Description: Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki had 20 points and six rebounds in the loss versus the Nets on Saturday.
Insight: Nowitzki was 8-of-14 from the field, hitting 40 percent from the 3-point line. Nowitzki also had two assists. He is averaging 17.7 ppg and 6.1 rpg while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor this season.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap led Atlanta with 22 points in the, 93-91, victory over the Heat on Saturday.
Insight: With the Hawks resting Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford, Millsap stepped up to lead the team to victory. He was 8-of-15 shooting with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Millsap also hit two 3-pointers.
Description: Pistons forward Greg Monroe recorded his fourth straight double-double on Saturday versus the Wizards.
Insight: Monroe finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds as he shot 53.3 percent from the field. He also had a steal and a block. Monroe has been dynamite in the last five games, averaging 19.2 ppg and 11.6 rpg.
Description: Bucks forward Jared Dudley is not playing versus the Jazz on Saturday.
Insight: Dudley injured his kneecap, which is something he injured last season. Dudley can be dropped in standard leagues just because it is unclear when he will return. Ersan Ilyasova and Jerryd Bayless are expected to receive most of Dudley's minutes.
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani may have had his best game as a member of New York during Friday's double overtime win against the Pistons.
Insight: He went 10-of-20 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line for 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, one block, and zero turnovers. Despite the solid outing, Bargnani can be left on the wire.
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler scored scored a team-high 28 points during Friday's victory against the Timberwolves.
Insight: Butler is going to need to step up with Derrick Rose sidelined. He did on Friday, going 11-of-19 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. He also had 12 boards, one assist, two steals, two blocks, and one turnover.
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love recorded a double-double during Friday's loss against the Pacers.
Insight: No surprise that Love led the team in shots with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving sidelined. He went 6-of-19 from the floor and 4-of-4 from the line for 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer, two steals, and two blocks.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James (back) will miss Friday's game against the Pacers.
Insight: This comes out of nowhere after James put in a season-high 42 points on Thursday night. Kyrie Irving is out as well, so Kevin Love and J.R. Smith should be in line for a big night. Consider James day-to-day.
Description: Wizards small forward Paul Pierce missed Wednesday's game and is questionable for Friday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Pierce had one of his best games of the season on Tuesday (25 points, five rebounds) but sat out Wednesday. Old guys have trouble with back-to-back games and the team may opt for him to play against Detroit on Saturday instead of Friday versus Philadelphia.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James scored a season-high 42 points during Thursday's victory against the Warriors.
Insight: It looked like James wanted to prove he should be in the MVP discussion. He went 15-of-25 from the field, 8-of-11 from the line, and 4-of-9 from downtown. He also recorded 11 boards, five assists, three steals, one block, and six turnovers.
Description: Pelicans guard Quincy Pondexter shot the lights out during Wednesday's win over the Nets.
Insight: He went 9-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-3 from the line, and 4-of-8 from downtown for a team-high 25 points. Pondexter also recorded five rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers. Despite the solid outing, he can be left on the wire.
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani scored a team-high 17 points during Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.
Insight: He did so off the bench and went 5-of-13 from the field and 7-of-9 from the line. Bargnani also had six boards, one assist, and two blocks. Langston Galloway, Jason Smith, and Lou Amundson each scored 14 points for the Knicks as well.
Description: Lakers guard/forward Nick Young will not play on Wednesday against the Jazz according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Young scored 19 points in his last game, so it's too bad he won't get a chance to build upon that. The good new is an MRI didn't find anything wrong with Young's knee. Just make sure he is out of the fantasy lineup on Wednesday.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Suns.
Insight: Faried had a pretty bad Monday, getting benched in favor of Darrell Arthur and then injurying his thumb during the game. The Nuggets could sit Faried on Wednesday, which would mean big minutes for Arthur.
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans is not 100 percent recovered from his illness, but he will play versus the Nets on Wednesday according to NBA.com.
Insight: Evans played through this illness on Monday and had 13 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, two 3-pointers, one steal and one block. Evans must be in fantasy lineups if he plays again on Wednesday because without Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson, Evans has the potential for a huge night.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson is expected to play on Wednesday according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Gibson hasn't practiced in full since becoming ill, so it seems he still isn't 100 percent, however, Gibson is a must-start player if he is on the court. He is averaging 10.8 ppg and 6.7 rpg this season.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka continued his strong play since the All-Star break.
Insight: He scored 23 points by going 9-of-11 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 1-of-1 from downtown. Ibaka completed his double-double with 10 rebounds, and also had three blocks and three turnovers.
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love hit an incredible eight 3-pointers in the, 102-93, victory over the Pistons on Tuesday.
Insight: Love led the team with 24 points, meaning all his points came off the 3-pointers. He also had nine rebounds, three assists and a steal. Fantasy owners are overall disappointed with Love, but he will occasionally explode like this.
Description: Wizards small forward Paul Pierce was very efficient Tuesday, making 7-of-11 field goals and 9-of-9 foul shots in the loss to the Warriors.
Insight: Pierce also hit two 3-pointers as he scored 25 points. That led the team. He also had five rebounds an assist, steal and block. 20-point games, however, are few and far between for Pierce at this point in his career. He hadn't scored at least 20 points in a game since Jan. 14.
Description: The 76ers claimed forward Thomas Robinson off waivers.
Insight: This is noteworthy because Robinson should find himself in Philadelphia's rotation rather quickly. In fact, do not be surprised if Robinson ends up in the 76ers starting lineup in the near future. Point guard Tim Frazier was waived in a corresponding move.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried left Monday's game with a left hand injury according to Roto World.
Insight: Faried went into the locker room with an ice bag on his hand. He did not start Monday anyway, so there shouldn't have been too many fantasy owners who started him. If Faried misses time, Darrell Arthur should continue to start.
Description: Bucks forward Khris Middleton had 17 points in the loss to the Bulls on Monday.
Insight: Middleton was 8-of-19 from the field. He also had six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Middleton has played very well this month and is benefiting from the trade that sent Brandon Knight to Phoenix. This month, Middleton is averaging 16.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.0 spg.
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng led the team in scoring with 29 points as Miami defeated Philadelphia, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Deng hit 4-of-5 3-pointers and shot an incredible 11-for-14 from the field overall. Deng should continue to see more shot opportunities without Chris Bosh in the lineup, but don't expect him to have this kind of shooting night again.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried will come off the bench on Monday versus the Nets according to Nuggets play-by-play announcer Jason Kosmicki.
Insight: Faried has not been playing well, but it is still a bold move to place Darrell Arthur in the starting lineup instead of Faried. Arthur has very limited fantasy upside, so it appears owners will need to find somewhere else to get production from a forward on Monday.
Description: Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova will start at power forward versus the Bulls.
Insight: That sends Jared Dudley to the bench. Ilyasova has not played well this month, averaging just 5.2 ppg and 1.8 rpg although he has never logged more than 18 minutes this month either. He can be left on the waiver wire for now.
Description: Rockets forward Terrence Jones will start on Monday against the Timberwolves.
Insight: Jones scored 11 points with nine rebounds in just 24 minutes on Saturday, so he deserves this start. He also had three blocks and an assist. Jones should be owned in all standard leagues and should be in lineups Monday night.
Description: Nets G/F Bojan Bogdanovic will not play Monday night versus the Nuggets.
Insight: Markel Brown is expected to get the start. Bogdanovic has not been fantasy worthy with a 7.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.8 apg average over the first 52 games. Brown had nine points in 15 minutes Friday night.
Description: Mavericks forward Richard Jefferson started on Sunday and recorded a double-double in the victory over the Hornets.
Insight: Jefferson just barely recorded the double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He was 3-of-8 from the field with all his made field goals being 3-pointers. He also had four assists, a steal and a block.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka continued his hot streak, nearly recording a triple-double.
Insight: Ibaka had 20 points, going 10-of-18 from the field, with eight rebounds and eight blocks. That will please a lot of fantasy owners in head-to-head league who needed some extra blocks to win the category. He also had a steal. Since the return from the All-Star break, Ibaka is averaging 19.0 ppg, 14.0 rpg and 3.7 bpg.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not play on Sunday due to a right thumb sprain.
Insight: Aldridge is playing through ligament damage to his left thumb, but the sprain is in his other thumb, on his shooting hand. Aldridge was shooting during practice on Sunday, so hopefully he is sitting just as a precaution. Chris Kaman, Meyers Leonard and Dorell Wright will play more on Sunday without Aldridge.
Description: Pistons forward Greg Monroe had 15 points and 15 rebounds as the Pistons moved within half a game of eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Insight: Detroit is currently in 10th place behind both Charlotte and Brooklyn for the final playoff spot in the East. The Hornets and Nets are both 22-31. Monroe was 6-of-16 from the field and also had three steals and two assists.
Description: Thunder star small forward Kevin Durant underwent a minor procedure to help reduce the pain he is feeling in his right foot.
Insight: The procedure was done on Sunday, and Durant is expected to be re-evaluated in one week. Russell Westrbook will continue to see monster value, with Kyle Singler likely starting at small forward.
Description: Raptors forward James Johnson surprisingly scored a team-high 27 points during Saturday's loss versus Houston.
Insight: Johnson shot 10-of-16 from the field and 6-of-8 from the line. He also chipped in five rebounds, four steals, four blocks, one 3-pointer, and one turnover. If you played Johnson as a daily play, you should be commended.
Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson sprained his right knee on Saturday night and will not return.
Insight: The news keeps getting worse for New Orleans, as they lost Anthony Davis earlier in the night. Luke Babbit, Dante Cunningham, and Quincy Pondexter would see an increase in minutes if Anderson misses extended time.
Description: Pelicans forward Anthony Davis suffered a right shoulder injury on Saturday night and will not return.
Insight: This is extremely scary, as Davis has been dealing with this injury over the past several weeks. He will likely have an MRI in the coming days, and if Davis is forced to miss any time, Alexis Ajinca would benefit most.
Description: Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons, sprained left ankle and bone bruise has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game against Charlotte.
Insight: Parson's didn't return after the injury. Richard Jefferson and Al-Farouq Aminu would see more minutes if Parsons is sidelined, but neither can match Parsons' averages of 15.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.4 apg.
Description: Thunder star small forward Kevin Durant has been downgraded to out for Saturday's game against Charlotte due to a sore right foot, according to Thunder beat writer Anthony Slater.
Insight: It's only sore, but obviously giving him problems. There is no replacing Durant, but D.J. Augustin and Dion Waiters might see more shot attempts. And of course, Russell Westbrook will be even more valuable ... if that's possible.
Description: Thunder star small forward Kevin Durant is questionable for Saturday's game against Charlotte due to a sore right foot.
Insight: It's only sore, but obviously giving him problems. There would be no replacing Durant if he sits this one out, but D.J. Augustin and Dion Waiters might see more shot attempts. And of course, Russell Westbrook would be even more valuable ... if that's possible.
Description: Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons turned his left ankle in Friday's game and is questionable for Sunday's game against Charlotte.
Insight: Parson's didn't return after the injury, but has a chance to play Sunday. Richard Jefferson and Al-Farouq Aminu would see more minutes if Parsons is sidelined, but neither can match Parsons' averages of 15.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.4 apg.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hamstring) went through a non-contact practice Wednesday and a full practice Thursday and is probable for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City
Insight: He should be good to go Saturday. MKG was averaging 13.8 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg over five games before the injury.
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James had 28 points in Cleveland's, 127-89, victory over the Wizards on Friday.
Insight: James was 12-of-21, including 3-for-5 from the 3-point line. He also had six assists and five rebounds. James has really turned it on since he returned from injury in January. Since then, he has averaged 27.4 ppg.
Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem had 13 points, five rebounds and two assists versus the Knicks on Friday.
Insight: The Heat starters shared the wealth extremely well as every starter had either 12 or 13 points. Haslem was making just his third start of the season, and this was clearly his best game. The weak opponent could have had something to do with that. Even still, Haslem will begin to get looks in standard leagues if Chris Bosh is indeed out for the season. Haslem still has a lot of work to do to reach Bosh's numbers, but his line Friday is promising.
Description: 76ers forward Luc Mbah a Moute had 16 points and 10 rebounds in Friday's loss versus the Pacers.
Insight: Philadelphia is taking tanking to a whole new level as they traded away Michael Carter-Williams on Thursday. Isaiah Canaan will see a lot of opportunities, but with absolutely no talent, Mbah a Moute should see plenty of chances to score as well.
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans recorded a double-double on Friday versus the Magic.
Insight: Evans led the Pelicans with 14 points and 10 assists. He also had eight rebounds, so despite the 4-of-13 shooting, fantasy owners were quite pleased with his numbers. Evans should continue to produce solid numbers without Jrue Holiday in the lineup.
Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem will start in place of the injured Chris Bosh on Friday versus the Knicks.
Insight: Bosh is out with a blood clot in his lung and could miss the rest of the season. Haslem hasn't been in good in his two starts this season, 3.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, but he has a nice matchup versus New York. Still, owners will have to be pretty desperate to roll with him.
Description: Despite listed as doubtful, Pelicans power forward Ryan Anderson will try to play Friday. UPDATE: Anderson will play on Friday.
Insight: Anderson has a strained ligament in his shooting elbow, so this is bad news. Even if he plays, Anderson will be limited, so fantasy owners should probably consider benching him regardless of whether he plays.
Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis will play on Friday versus the Magic.
Insight: Davis did the opposite of Carmelo Anthony, sitting the All-Star Game to get ready for the second half. Davis had 26 points and 17 rebounds with nine blocks in his first matchup with Orlando this season. He could have a huge game.
Description: Magic small forward Tobias Harris will not play on Friday versus the Pelicans.
Insight: This is not good. As of Thursday, he was good to go. Harris missed the last two games before the break and apparently the week off wasn't enough. Harris could miss more games beyond Friday. Evan Fournier will start in his place.
Description: Just a few hours ago, fantasy owners were working under the assumption forward Thaddeus Young would be unavailable to play on Friday for his new team, the Brooklyn Nets, but now, however, he will suit up.
Insight: Young was the first player to receive clearance from the deadline deals, so he may be the only player suiting up for his new team Friday. He can be safely put back into all fantasy lineups.
Description: Pelicans backup power forward Ryan Anderson has been downgraded to doubtful for Friday's game against Orlando after apparently having a setback on his sore right elbow during the morning shootaround.
Insight: Anderson averages 14.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.0 apg., but has struggled a bit of late, shooting an ugly 36.2 percent in February after a 38.1 percent January.
Description: Forward Thaddeus Young won't be allowed to play Friday night for his new team because Kevin garnett still had to take his physical and won't be in Minnesota until Saturday.
Insight: Young was putting up solid numbers in Minnesota, 14.3 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.8 spg and should continue to produce as the starting PF for the Nets. Cort Jefferson could get a one-time start versus the Lakers.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka had an incredible game in Oklahoma City's, 104-89, victory over Dallas on Thursday.
Insight: Ibaka had 21 points and a season-high 22 rebounds. He was 8-of-12 from the field and many believe he will only get better with the addition of Enes Kanter, who the team acquired before the deadline on Thursday.
Description: Amare Stoudemire signed with the Dallas Mavericks, but will not play in Thursday or Friday's games.
Insight: Dallas was always the favorite for his services, so no surprise here. We need to see how Stoudemire fits in with the Mavericks before determining his value, but with him destined for a reserve role, the potential is not very high.
Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis (right shoulder) practiced Wednesday and is expected to return Friday versus Orlando.
Insight: Davis skipped the All-Star game to be ready for the stretch drive and that starts Friday. He's a fantasy stud averaging 24.5 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.5 apg, 2.7 bpg and is a must start even if he is less than 100 percent.
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love (eye) is probable for Friday's game against Washington.
Insight: Tristian Thompson owners should expect him to return to his 28 mpg level from the 34 he's played the past two games. Love is averaging 17.0 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 2.3 apg this season - very Chris Bosh-like.
Description: Clipper power forward Blake Griffin (surgery on his right elbow) said he had good news from his doctors and will have stitches removed next week, according to Clipper beat writer Don Woike.
Insight: Still no firm timetable for his return. Spencer Hawes has been playing in place of Griffin but he's been inconsistent. Griffin's absence has allowed DeAndre Jordan to gobble up rebounds by the bushel and Jamal Crawford to score 20-plus points in four straight games.
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard did not shoot well in the last three games before the break.
Insight: Leonard was just 11-of-41(26.8 percent) in the final three contests before the All-Star game. He's still a 44 percent shooter this season and a career 49 percent shooter, so he should be able to turn it around.
