Fantasy NBA
Forward Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days

Anthony Davis, PF, NOPHot12/27/2014 9:20:00 PM
Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis contiues to impress.
Insight: Davis scored 22 points with 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and five blocks. The defensive prowess is what makes him an elite fantasy player.
Amare Stoudemire, F, NYK12/27/2014 1:04:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will miss Saturday's matchup.
Insight: Too bad as Quincy Acy is suspended and he could have played big minutes and been fantasy worthy. Cole Aldrich, Jason Smith and Travis Wear will get the playing time.
Quincy Acy, F, NYK12/27/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Knicks power forward Quincy Acy will miss Saturday's game after being suspended for throwing a punch at John Wall on Christmas Day.
Insight: Acy is averaging 5.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg. so doesn't have fantasy value, but his minutes will go to Amare Stoudemire who does have value.
Zach Randolph, F, MEM12/27/2014 10:18:00 AM
Description: Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph is not exepted to play Saturday while dealing with a swollen right knee.
Insight: Randolph has missed three games due to the knee issue which are chronic for the double-double machine. He's averaging 16.1 ppg, 11.4 rpg so fantasy owners need him back soon. Jon Leuer has started two of the three games he's missed, but hasn't done enough with the opportunities.
Kenneth Faried, F, DENHot12/27/2014 9:59:00 AM
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried went off Friday night, posting a stunning 26 points, 25 rebound line.
Insight: Wow. That's 46 points and 39 rebounds in the last two contests. Coach Brian Shaw had a talk with him recently, looks like it worked.
Thaddeus Young, F, MIN12/27/2014 9:50:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young led the team with 23 points and added six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.
Insight: Young had a solid all-around fantasy day even his free-throw shooting (3-of-4). He's just a bit too inconsistent for fantasy owners as his last five scoring totals indicate (29, 13, 8, 13, 23).
Ed Davis, F, LALHot12/27/2014 9:35:00 AM
Description: Lakers forward Ed Davis posted 10 points and 11 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double.
Insight: Davis has now scored double-digits in five consecutive games. We like where this trend is going. When he plays 30 minutes or more, good things happen.
Ryan Anderson, F, NOP12/27/2014 9:26:00 AM
Description: Pelicans backup power forward Ryan Anderson put in a solid effort for New Orleans against the Spurs.
Insight: Anderson scored 22 points with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. He's the first big man off the bench and can provide cheap points, particular when his three-point shot is working.
Tim Duncan, F/C, SAN12/27/2014 9:15:00 AM
Description: Old Man River continues to defy time, posting 20 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, a steal and two blocks Friday night.
Insight: With the help of strategically placed rest, Tim Duncan keeps on playing at a very high level. If every one of your players had his work ethic, you would easily win a championship.
Josh Smith, F, HOU12/27/2014 8:59:00 AM
Description: Forward Josh Smith, in his first game since signing with the Houston Rockets, came off the bench to score 21 points with eight rebounds and three assists.
Insight: Smith was averaging 13.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.3 spg in Detroit. He didn't shoot well with the Pistons and he was nine for a team-high 21 shots on Friday, so the trend continues.
Greg Monroe, PF, DET12/26/2014 9:54:00 PM
Description: Pistons forward Greg Monroe recorded a double-double on Friday.
Insight: In a game that featured Andre Drummond and Roy Hibbert, Monroe had a game-high 15 rebounds along with 19 points, shooting 7-of-11. Monroe also had three steals, a block and an assist. With no Josh Smith, Monroe is the clear power forward option in Detroit and thus sees a boost in fantasy value.
Paul Millsap, F, ATL12/26/2014 9:48:00 PM
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap continues to shine for Atlanta.
Insight: Millsap recorded a double-double on Friday with 22 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 8-of-10 from the field. Millsap came into the game averaging 16.3 ppg and 8.0 rpg this season.
Jared Dudley, F, MIL12/26/2014 9:46:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Jared Dudley scored in double figures for the fourth straight game on Friday, leading the team with 24 points.
Insight: Dudley's sudden scoring burst can mostly be credited to his great 3-point shooting. Over the last four games, he is 10-for-16 from behind the arc. On Friday, Dudley was a perfect 10-for-10 from the field. He is playing a decent amount of minutes, but fantasy owners will have to count on his hot shooting continuing to make him a player worth starting.
Kevin Love, F, CLE12/26/2014 9:31:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love got off to a great start on Friday and finished with 22 points.
Insight: Love scored 13 of his points in the first quarter, hitting two 3-pointer in the quarter. Love was 3-for-8 from behind the arc in the game. He also had seven rebounds and two assists.
Tobias Harris, F, ORL12/26/2014 9:29:00 PM
Description: Magic small forward Tobias Harris led the team with 16 points against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Harris was 7-for-16 from the field, making 2-of-6 from the 3-point line. Harris didn't do much else, though, with four rebounds, an assist, steal and block.
LeBron James, F, CLE12/26/2014 9:28:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James scored 15 points in the final quarter to lead Cleveland over Orland, 98-89.
Insight: James finished with 29 points, shooting 50 percent from the floor and 9-of-11 at the line. James' two misses were the only missed Cleveland free throws of the game as the team shot 92.3 percent at the line. James also had eight assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks. He is obviously a must-start every game, but as long as Kyrie Irving is out, James will handle the ball more and accumulate more stats.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F, POR12/26/2014 8:49:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers. UPDATE: Aldridge will not play. Make sure he is out of your lineup.
Insight: Nicolas Batum is questionable as well. With the matchup against Philadelphia, the Trail Blazers are probably leaning towards resting their stars although the 7ers have won two in a row.
Jon Leuer, F, MEM12/26/2014 8:33:00 PM
Description: Memphis PF Jon Leuer will start for the injured Zach Randolph on Friday.
Insight: Leuer scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 30 minutes in his last start, so he is rewarded with the start without Randolph available. He is a decent plug-in option Friday.
LeBron James, F, CLE12/26/2014 5:53:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James will play on Friday against the Magic.
Insight: James and point guard Kyrie Irving both suffered minor injuries on Christmas, but both will play on Friday. Start them as you normally would.
Mason Plumlee, PF, BRK12/26/2014 3:26:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee had 14 points and 12 rebounds in the, 109-107, victory over the Celtics on Friday.
Insight: It was Plumlee's third straight game with a double-double. He shot 6-of-7 and made 2-of-6 free throws. Plumlee also contributed three assists and a block.
Jeff Green, F, BOS12/26/2014 3:23:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Jeff Green scored a team-high 22 points in Friday's game versus the Nets.
Insight: Green shot 10-of-18, making one 3-pointer. He also had five assists and three rebounds. Green is the best fantasy option on the Cetics roster.
Kawhi Leonard, F, SAN12/26/2014 1:55:00 PM
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out for Friday because of his hand injury.
Insight: There is still no official timetable for Leonard's return. Tony Parker will also not play Friday because of his hand injury.
Ersan Ilyasova, F, MIL12/26/2014 1:31:00 PM
Description: Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova is out on Friday against the Hawks.
Insight: Ilyasova can't seem to stay healthy as he is now suffering from a concussion. He missed 21 games last season due to a concussion, so fantasy owners should be concerned.
Kevin Durant, F, OKC12/26/2014 1:29:00 PM
Description: Thunder small forward Kevin Durant will miss Friday's game against the Hornets.
Insight: Perry Jones will start, but Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson are the players who see the boost in fantasy value. Durant continues to suffer from his ankle injury.
Blake Griffin, F, LAC12/26/2014 11:58:00 AM
Description: Clipper power forward Blake Griffin recorded a double-double on Thursday.
Insight: Griffin had 18 points and 15 rebounds in the victory over the Warriors. He also had six assists, two steals and a block. Griffin is a top-ten option at the forward position.
Harrison Barnes, SF, GSW12/26/2014 11:57:00 AM
Description: Warriors small forward Harrison Barnes recorded a double-double on Christmas Day versus the Clippers.
Insight: Golden State had balanced scoring as six different players reached double figures, but no one scored 20 and the Warriors lost, 100-86, to the Clippers. Barnes had 12 points, shooting 5-for-13, with 13 rebounds.
Ed Davis, F, LALHot12/25/2014 10:52:00 PM
Description: Lakers forward Ed Davis went for 13 points and 14 rebounds on Christmas night against the Bulls.
Insight: Davis has now scored double-digits in four consecutive games, though this is the first time with double-digit rebounds. We like where this trend is going.
Jimmy Butler, G/F, CHIHot12/25/2014 10:47:00 PM
Description: Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler continued his excellent play with a 21-point Thursday night.
Insight: Butler's averaging 25 ppg over his last five contests. He also contributed with six rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. He's made himself a must start.
Luol Deng, F, MIAHot12/25/2014 8:03:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng had a big second half as the Miami Heat downed the Cleveland Cavsd in LeBron James' return to Miami.
Insight: Deng hit 11-of-16 for 25 points and pulled in eight rebounds with eight assists in 40 minutes. That's what we used to see from Deng in Chicago and we hope to see more of it in Miami. He was averaging 14.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.5 apg heading into this contest.
LeBron James, F, CLE12/25/2014 7:58:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James had a team-high 30 points, but his Cavs fell to the Heat in his first return visit to Miami.
Insight: He was 9-of-16 from the floor, but hit just 10-of-18 from the line. He seemed emotional for this one and who can blame him after winning two titles with the Heat.
Zach Randolph, F, MEM12/25/2014 6:42:00 PM
Description: Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph is questionable for Friday's game against Houston while dealing with a swollen right knee. UPDATE: Randolph will not play.
Insight: Randolph has missed two games due to the knee issue which are chronic for the double-double machine. He's averaging 16.1 ppg, 11.4 rpg so fantasy owners need him back soon. Jon Leuer has seen an average 28 mpg over the past two contests, averaging 10 ppg and 6.0 rpg.
Serge Ibaka, F, OKC12/25/2014 5:37:00 PM
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka is adding the three-point shot to his arsenal. Thursday, he went 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
Insight: He's shooting over 39 percent on three pointers. Added to his 14.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.4 blocks and he's become an elite fantasy asset.
Carmelo Anthony, F, NYK12/25/2014 2:32:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points, but he needed 28 shots to get there.
Insight: Anthony's total wasn't enough to get the Knicks a win and they lost for a league-leading 26th time. Melo has scored 30 or more in four straight Christmas Day games. Overall it's been a disappointing season with his averages down in points and rebounds.
Josh Smith, F, HOU12/25/2014 12:32:00 PM
Description: Forward Josh Smith, recently waived by the Detroit Pistons, is expected to sign with the Houston Rockets.
Insight: Smith was averaging 13.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.3 spg in Detroit but his presence was stunting Greg Monroe's growth. Smith should step into the power forward slot open by the injury to Terrence Jones.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F, TOR12/25/2014 11:15:00 AM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan is not on the road trip that continues through January 4.
Insight: DeRozan was averaging 19.4 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.4 spg. Lou Williams continues to see big minutes and has posted double-digit points for seven consecutive games.
Kawhi Leonard, F, SAN12/25/2014 11:13:00 AM
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard was hoping to return for the Christmas Day game, but he's been ruled out.
Insight: Kyle Anderson should continue to see big minutes, but he won't get anywhere close to Leonard's 15.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 2.5 apg, 2.0 spg.
Kevin Durant, F, OKC12/25/2014 11:03:00 AM
Description: Thunder small forward Kevin Durant (ankle) is expected to miss Thursday's game against San Antonio.
Insight: For now, consider him day-to-day, but this will be his fourthconsecutive miss. Perry Jones should start but has little to no fantasy value. Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson get to shoot more with Durant sidelined.
Ryan Kelly, F, LAL12/25/2014 10:42:00 AM
Description: Lakers power forward Ryan Kelly is practicing, but is not expected to return to action until early January,
Insight: Kelly isn't going to see enough playing time to be fantasy worthy even with the season-ending injury to Julius Randle as he'll be behind Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer.
Damjan Rudez, F, IND12/25/2014 10:36:00 AM
Description: pacers backup forward Damjan Rudez is questionable for Friday's game against Detroit due to an upper respiratory infection.

Terrence Jones, F, HOU12/25/2014 10:35:00 AM
Description: Rockets forward Terrence Jones (leg) still has no timetable for his return, but he did do some work with the team Wednesday.
Insight: That's the good news. The bad news is that the Rockets are about to sign free agent Josh Smith and make Jones a fantasy non-factor. He can safely be dropped from all fantasy rosters.
Darrell Arthur, F, DEN12/25/2014 10:29:00 AM
Description: Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur is questionable for Friday's game against Denver due to a strained left leg.
Insight: Arthur (7.8 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.4 apg) has already missed the past four games with the injury. Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson will continue to see extended playing time.
Wilson Chandler, G/F, DEN12/24/2014 9:46:00 AM
Description: Denver small forward Wilson Chandler should see added minutes for the next month with Danilo Gallinari (knee) sidelined.
Insight: He played 38 Tuesday night, but didn't shoot well (5-of-17). He's averaging 14.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.3 apg, but those numbers should increase for the next four weeks.
Danilo Gallinari, F, DEN12/24/2014 9:43:00 AM
Description: Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari will miss about four weeks after Monday's surgery on his right knee, according to Sportando.
Insight: Gallinari is averaging only 7.8 ppg and 3.0 rpg. Wilson Chandler should inherit most of the minutes. He played 38 Tuesday night, but didn't shoot well (5-of-17).

Description: Lakers forward Carlos Boozer led the team in points and rebounds as LA upset the Golden State Warriors without Kobe Bryant.

Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee recorded a double-double on Tuesday.
Insight: Plumlee had 19 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 9-of-14 from the field. Although he won't shoot that way very often, if he plays 40 minutes like he did on Tuesday, Plumlee is fantasy relevant.
Joe Johnson, G/F, BRK12/23/2014 10:27:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson led the team with 27 points.
Insight: Johnson made four 3-pointers, shooting 11-of-19 from the field overall. The 27 points is the most in one game for Johnson since Nov. 1.
Blake Griffin, F, LAC12/23/2014 10:24:00 PM
Description: Clipper power forward Blake Griffin recorded a double-double on Tuesday.
Insight: Griffin had 21 points and 11 assists. He nearly had a triple-double as he also had eight rebounds. Griffin's rebounding numbers are down this season, but his assists numbers have increased.
DeMarre Carroll, SF, ATL12/23/2014 10:21:00 PM
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll hit a season-high five 3-pointers in the victory over the Clippers on Tuesday.
Insight: Carroll's 3-point percentage is down this month compared to November, but he certainly helped that percentage making 5-of-6 3-pointers on Tuesday. Carroll scored 25 points which is also a season-high.

Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love had a double-double against his former team on Tuesday.
Insight: Love scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds versus the Timberwolves. Love made one 3-pointer and went 9-for-11 at the line. His numbers aren't as good as they were in Minnesota, but for the most part, they are improving. Although his scoring is down, Love is averaging nearly 3.5 more rpg in December than he did in November.
Anthony Davis, PF, NOP12/23/2014 9:38:00 PM
Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis had a subpar fantasy night for his standards.
Insight: Davis has really set the bar high through the first 25 percent of the season, so it is a little unfair to expect him to average 24.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 2.92 bpg while shooting nearly 58 percent. On Tuesday, Davis scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds while shooting 44 percent.
Tobias Harris, F, ORL12/23/2014 9:31:00 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge, F, POR12/23/2014 7:29:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is active for Tuesday.
Insight: It appears Aldridge will start on Tuesday versus the Thunder, so he should be in every lineup. Even at less than 100 percent, he is a top fantasy-option at power forward.
Hollis Thompson, G/F, PHI12/23/2014 2:38:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia G/F Hollis Thompson will miss Tuesday's game against Miami due to an upper respiratory infection.

Description: Pistons forward Josh Smith has been waived.
Insight: Smith was averaging 13.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.3 spg, but his presence was stunting Greg Monroe's growth. There should be plenty of takers for a guy with Smith's talents.
