DeMar DeRozan, G/F4/15/2015 10:44:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan had 16 points and six assists in the season finale against the Hornets.
Insight: DeRozan was 8-for-13 from the field with four rebounds and two steals as well. DeRozan didn't have excellent numbers in this game because Kyle Lowry was playing better, but that is great news for the Raptors. They need both their guards playing well in order to advance.
Kyle Lowry, G4/15/2015 10:41:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry looked more like himself on Wednesday as he scored 26 points and had seven assists in the 92-87, victory over the Hornets.

Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry scored 12 points with seven rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block versus the Heat on Saturday.
Insight: Fantasy owners like having Lowry back, and he is helping in the counting stats but is hurting fantasy teams in the percentage stats. He shot 3-for-14, including 0-for-8 from downtown on Saturday. If owners are worried about Lowry lowering their shooting percentage, then it might be better to leave him on the bench.
Lou Williams, SG4/11/2015 10:30:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams scored a team-high 29 points in the, 107-104, victory over the Heat on Saturday.
Insight: Williams shot 50 percent off the bench, hitting four 3-pointers. He was also 7-for-7 at the line. Even with Kyle Lowry back in the lineup, Williams is can clearly still produce and is worth starting in standard leagues in the final week.
Kyle Lowry, G4/11/2015 6:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will play on Saturday versus the Heat.

Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (back) looks like he will return to the lineup on Friday night.
Insight: Lowry said he feels good and should be able to play without limitations. He also said he will be able to play Saturday night against the heat. This is all good news for owners.

Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored a team-high 18 points during Wednesday's victory over the Hornets.

Kyle Lowry, G4/8/2015 3:16:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry along with Amir Johnson will not play on Wednesday versus the Hornets.
Insight: Lowry still does not have a timetable for return. Hopefully he can return before the playoffs, but for now, owners need to look elsewhere for production.
Amir Johnson, F4/7/2015 2:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors power forward Amir Johnson is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Charlotte, but can't put weight on his ankle so is closer to doubtful.
Insight: Johnson is a low-end choice who averages 9.4 ppg, 6.1 rpg with six double-doubles this season.

Insight: DeRozan shot 14-of-25 from the field and 10-of-12 from the line for 38 points, three assists, one rebound, one steal, and six turnovers. As long as Kyle Lowry is sidelined, DeRozan will make for a fantastic fantasy option.
Jonas Valanciunas, C4/3/2015 10:19:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas was a rebound away from a double-double versus the Nets on Friday.
Insight: Valanciunas had 21 points and nine rebounds. He shot 9-for-13 from the field and also had a steal and a block.

Kyle Lowry, G4/3/2015 6:42:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry said he hopes to return before the end of the regular season, but he did not give a timetable for a return according to ESPN.
Insight: Lowry tried to come from his back injury only to play a couple quarters and leave again with back spasms, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if he is extremely cautious in his return. Lowry's goal has to be to get ready for the playoffs, so owners will have to find production from somewhere else these last two weeks.
Lou Williams, SG4/1/2015 10:26:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams came off the bench to lead the team with 18 points in the, 113-99, victory on Wednesday.

Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored a season-high 42 points during Monday's victory against the Rockets.

Kyle Lowry, G3/30/2015 1:27:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (back) missed Friday's game against the Lakers and has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Houston
Insight: There doesn't seem to be any change in his status. Lowry has stated that he will not rush back, so without a firm timetable, Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams will continue to have increased value.
Kyle Lowry, G3/30/2015 11:26:00 AM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (back) missed Friday's game against the Lakers and is is questionable, at best, for Monday's game against Houston
Insight: There doesn't seem to be any change in his status. Lowry has stated that he will not rush back, so without a firm timetable, Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams will continue to have increased value.
Jonas Valanciunas, C3/27/2015 9:54:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas led Toronto with 19 points during Friday's win against the Lakers.

Kyle Lowry, G3/27/2015 4:37:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (back) will miss Friday's game against the Lakers.
Insight: Lowry has stated that he will not rush back, so without a firm timetable, Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams will continue to have increased value.
Greivis Vasquez, G3/25/2015 9:34:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Greivis Vasquez knocked down six 3-pointers during Wednesday's loss to the Bulls.
Insight: Vasquez started in place of the injured Kyle Lowry and dropped a team-high 22 points. He shot 7-of-15 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line. Vasquez will move back to the bench once Lowry returns.
Kyle Lowry, G3/25/2015 1:04:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will not play on Wednesday versus the Bulls.
Insight: Lowry is probably done for awhile after he returned for 11 minutes on Tuesday only to then leave the game with back spasms. He won't rush his return, so owners should not expect him to help much in the fantasy playoffs.
Lou Williams, SG3/24/2015 10:13:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams scored 19 points in the loss to the Pistons on Tuesday.
Insight: Williams played 33 minutes off the bench with Kyle Lowry leaving early due to back spasms. He was 6-for-11 from the field and 3-of-6 at the 3-point line. With Lowry likely missing more time, Williams is worth a look in standard leagues.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/24/2015 10:10:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored 22 points in the loss to the Pistons on Tuesday.
Insight: Point guard Kyle Lowry started the game, but he only played 11 minutes before his back spasms returned. That game DeRozan free reigns again, though, he shot just 5-of-17 from the field. DeRozan did shoot 12-for-12 at the line with 10 rebounds and four assists in addition to the 22 points. If Lowry misses more time, DeRozan will once again see an uptick in fantasy value.
Kyle Lowry, G3/24/2015 9:20:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry left Tuesday's game and will not return according to the team's twitter page.
Insight: Every time Lowry takes a step forward, he takes two steps backs. Lowry dressed in the last two games, but he didn't play. On Tuesday, he finally returned to the starting lineup, but now the back is acting up again. This is a big blow for fantasy owners in the playoffs. Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams should both see more time without Lowry available.
Kyle Lowry, G3/24/2015 6:58:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game versus the Pistons according to TSN Canada. Update: Lowry will start.
Insight: Lowry suited up the last two games, but he didn't play. If he sits, Greivis Vasquez will start again with DeMar DeRozan seeing a lot more opportunities. Check back closer to tip.
Kyle Lowry, G3/24/2015 6:21:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game versus the Pistons according to TSN Canada.
Insight: Lowry suited up the last two games, but he didn't play. If he sits, Greivis Vasquez will start again with DeMar DeRozan seeing a lot more opportunities. Check back closer to tip.
Jonas Valanciunas, C3/22/2015 6:55:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas recorded a double-double in the victory over the Knicks on Sunday.
Insight: Valanciunas finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds on 6-for-12 shooting. He was 5-for-5 at the line with two assists and one block as well. Valanciunas is averaging 13.0 ppg and 10.4 rpg in the last five games.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/22/2015 6:52:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points in the, 106-89, victory over the Knicks on Sunday.
Insight: DeRozan also had seven rebounds and five assists. We said on Friday that owners don't get much besides scoring with DeRozan, but he has proved he can fill the stat sheet if Kyle Lowry doesn't play. As long as Lowry is out, DeRozan is an elite fantasy option.
Kyle Lowry, G3/22/2015 3:10:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (back) will not play Sunday against the Knicks.
Insight: This is tough news after Lowry was able to play on Friday. Greivis Vasquez will start in his place.
Kyle Lowry, G3/20/2015 10:33:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry suited up versus the Bulls on Friday, but he did not play.
Insight: We warned owners that this might happen. Greivis Vasquez started and scored 11 points with six assists, four rebounds and a steal. It would be best to stay away from Lowry until he proves he is healthy.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/20/2015 10:31:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points in the loss to the Bulls on Friday.
Insight: DeRozan doesn't usually do much besides score, but he did hit three 3-pointers, grab seven rebounds and dish out three assists as well. Kyle Lowry, who dressed but did not play, should be back soon though, and DeRozan should go back to just scoring.
Greivis Vasquez, G3/20/2015 7:57:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Greivis Vasquez will start in place of the banged up Kyle Lowry on Friday.
Insight: Kyle Lowry is expected to come off the bench, but Vasquez will start. If fantasy owners have other options, it would be wise to stay away from this situation on Friday. It is unknown how much Lowry will play and therefore, how many minutes Vasquez will receive.
Kyle Lowry, G3/20/2015 7:54:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will play on Friday against the Bulls, but he will not start as Greivis Vasquez will remain in the starting lineup.
Insight: This probably means there is some risk to starting Lowry on Friday. He could be on a minutes limit. There is also no guarantee he plays.
Kyle Lowry, G3/20/2015 2:46:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry hurt his back on Wednesday and will be a game-time decision for Friday's game against Chicago.
Insight: Lowry suffered a back bruise. If he is out for an extended period of time, Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams will see the biggest increase in value.
Jonas Valanciunas, C3/18/2015 10:20:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points and 15 rebounds in the victory over the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Insight: Valanciunas shot 7-for-9 and made 1-of-2 free throws. Four of his 15 rebounds were on offense. Valanciunas is a decent start at the center position in the fantasy playoffs.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/18/2015 10:16:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan had a poor shooting night, but he still led Toronto with 21 points versus the Timberwolves.
Insight: DeRozan shot just 4-for-14 from the field, but he was 12-for-12 at the line. DeRozan also had seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Raptors shooting guard has been Mr. Consistent lately, scoring between 18 and 22 points in each of the last five games. With Kyle Lowry potentially out for a few games, DeRozan has the potential for even more.
Kyle Lowry, G3/18/2015 9:42:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry hurt his back on Wednesday, and he will not return according to the team's twitter page.
Insight: Lowry suffered a back bruise. If he is out for an extended period of time, Greivis Vasquez and Lou Williams will see the biggest increase in value. Lowry had nine points, six assists, three rebounds and a 3-pointer before the injury.
Kyle Lowry, G3/16/2015 9:27:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry posted a triple-double during Monday's victory over the Pacers.
Insight: He recorded 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, five 3-pointers, three steals, three turnovers, and shot 7-of-13 from the field and 1-of-3 from the line. What a night for Lowry.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/15/2015 9:31:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan played well during Sunday's loss to Portland.
Insight: He shot 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line for a team-high 22 points. DeRozan also chipped in eight rebounds two assists, one steal, and two turnovers. He should active everywhere.
Kyle Lowry, G3/13/2015 10:48:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry recorded seven steals during Friday's victory over the Heat.
Insight: Lowry was fantastic all game, going 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-8 from downtown for 19 points, eight assists, eight rebounds, one block, and four turnovers. The seven steals are the most impressive stat of the night for him.
Jonas Valanciunas, C3/13/2015 6:05:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas will not play on Friday due to the borth of his son.
Insight: Congrats to him, as he gets a much deserved night off. Amir Johnson will likely get the spot start.
Kyle Lowry, G3/10/2015 10:55:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry scored a team-high 32 points on Tuesday night.
Insight: Lowry shot 10-of-19 from the field, 7-of-7 from the line, and 5-of-9 from downtown during Tuesday's loss. He also recorded five dimes, four rebounds, two steals, and one turnover.
Amir Johnson, F3/10/2015 10:54:00 PM
Description: Raptors power forward Amir Johnson had a big game during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.
Insight: He had 16 points and 14 boards, while shooting 8-of-14 from the field. Johnson also had two assists, one block, and one turnover, and is ranked outside the top 130 in standard leagues.
Terrence Ross, SG3/8/2015 10:31:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Terrence Ross had six 3-pointers on his way to 20 points versus the Thunder on Sunday.
Insight: This was the second straight game where Ross started instead of James Johnson. Ross should remain there with this performance. Coach Dwane Casey is probably going to keep trying different things, however, because the Raptors have lost eight of the last nine games.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/8/2015 9:30:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 24 points and nine assists in the loss to the Thunder on Sunday.
Insight: DeRozan was 11-for-22 from the field and the nine assists tied a season-high. He has scored at least 24 points in each of his last four games.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/6/2015 9:42:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan had a game-high 30 points, but Toronto lost, 103-94, on Friday.
Insight: DeRozan was 14-of-26 from the field and surprisingly didn't shoot a 3-pointer. He also had three assists, two rebounds, a steal and a block. DeRozan can give owners lots of scoring but as owners can see from Friday's stat line, not much else.
Terrence Ross, SG3/6/2015 6:47:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Terrence Ross will start instead of James Johnson versus the Wizards on Friday.
Insight: This is certainly a strange move, maybe made because Kyle Lowry is returning Friday. Ross is not fantasy relevant and Johnson owners should not worry too much yet.
Kyle Lowry, G3/6/2015 5:51:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will return on Friday and not have a minutes limit.
Insight: Lowry has missed the last three games with a mild hand injury. He should go back into all lineups in standard leagues.
Kyle Lowry, G3/6/2015 12:09:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry made it through the morning shootaround and should be considered questionable for Friday night against Charlotte, according to beat reporter Josh Lewenberg.
Insight: Lowry has been dealing with multiple injuries (sore calf/hamstring/finger). Greivis Vazquez would continue to start if Lowry can't go.
Jonas Valanciunas, C3/4/2015 10:21:00 PM
Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas recorded a big double-double versus the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Insight: Valanciunas had 26 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 12-for-17 from the field and also had two blocks and an assist. Valanciunas is averaging 11.9 ppg and 8.7 rpg this season.
Kyle Lowry, G3/4/2015 7:23:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will miss Wednesday's game versus the Cavaliers.
Insight: Toronto is calling it "rest" but Lowry has a hand injury. Lowry should be considered questionable for Friday's game versus the Hornets. Greivis Vazquez will start for the third straight game.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F3/2/2015 9:22:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was fantastic during Monday's victory against the 76ers.
Insight: He went 12-of-24 from the floor and 10-of-10 from the line for 35 points, nine rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, two steals, and two turnovers. DeRozan is still ranked outside the top 130 however.
Kyle Lowry, G3/2/2015 6:06:00 PM
Description: The Raptors confirmed guard Kyle Lowry (rest) will not play on Monday night.
Insight: Lowry should be back out there next time Toronto takes the court. Grevis Vasquez will start in his place, and will be a solid daily option.
Kyle Lowry, G3/2/2015 2:06:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry did not play versus the Knicks on Saturday and will miss Monday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Lowry said he is dealing with multiple issues. The team would rather he be healthy for the playoffs than a regular season games against the 13-46 Sixers.
Lou Williams, SG2/28/2015 10:19:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams was just 2-for-10 from the 3-point line, but he still led Toronto with 22 points on Saturday.
Insight: Williams was 6-for-16 from the field overall. He was 8-of-9 at the line as well. Williams won't produce many other numbers, on Saturday he had three assists, two rebounds and a block, but if owners need scoring, he can provide some particularly on great 3-point shooting nights.
Amir Johnson, F2/28/2015 8:03:00 PM
Description: Raptors power forward Amir Johnson is starting versus the Knicks as Patrick Patterson will come off the bench on Saturday.
Insight: Johnson still remains only a desperate pickup for standard league owners. Kyle Lowry is also not starting for Toronto, but he isn't playing at all.
Greivis Vasquez, G2/28/2015 7:06:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Greivis Vasquez will start in place of the banged up Kyle Lowry on Saturday versus the Knicks.
Insight: Although it was a year ago, Vasquez hit six 3-pointers on his way to 26 points the last time Lowry missed a game. Vasquez is a great plug-in option on Saturday versus the bad Knicks.
Kyle Lowry, G2/28/2015 7:02:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will not play versus the Knicks on Saturday in order to receive some extra rest.
Insight: Lowry suffered a minor injury on Friday and played through it but against the lowly Knicks, coach Dwane Casey has decided to rest him. Although fantasy owners don't like seeing him banged up, Lowry didn't have a good February, averaging 11.9 ppg, 5.3 apg, 0.9 spg while shooting 34.2 percent from the field. Maybe the rest will help him.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F2/27/2015 10:10:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan shot very poorly from the field during Friday's loss versus Golden State.
Insight: He went 4-of-16 from the floor, but did go 6-of-6 from the line for 14 points, three boards, and three turnovers.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F2/24/2015 10:51:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan scored a team-high 18 points during Tuesday's loss against the Mavericks.
Insight: He shot just 7-of-21 from the field, and also had four assists, three boards, and three turnovers. DeRozan should still be active in all lineups.
Patrick Patterson, F2/24/2015 7:43:00 PM
Description: Raptors forward Patrick Patterson will play on Tuesday against the Mavericks.
Insight: Patterson didn't play Monday due to a sprained knee, but he returns after missing just one game. He is averaging 8.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 1.4 3-pointers per game this season.
Kyle Lowry, G2/23/2015 10:32:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry didn't shoot all that well on Monday but still scored 22 points in the loss against the Pelicans.
Insight: Lowry was 8-of-19 from the field and just 1-for-6 at the 3-point line. He also had five assists and three steals as he led Toronto in all three categories: points, assists and steals. It was nice to see Lowry have a good scoring night as he has averaged just 13.2 ppg over the last five games.
Lou Williams, SGHot2/23/2015 1:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams (ankle) missed Saturday's contest against the Rockets, but is probable for Monday versus New Orleans.
Insight: Williams is averaging 15.4 ppg, but has posted 26 and 27 points in his previous two games. Hopefully, he hasn't lost his shooting touch (he was 17-of-30).
Lou Williams, SG2/21/2015 8:00:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's contest against the Rockets.
Insight: Williams apparently suffered the injury late in Friday's game versus Atlanta. Greivis Vasquez and Terrence Ross will see additional time, but it's unlikely that either could match the 26 and 27 point games Williams has posted in the last two contests.
Lou Williams, SG2/21/2015 6:30:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's contest against the Rockets.
Insight: Williams apparently suffered the injury late in Friday's game versus Atlanta. Greivis Vasquez and Terrence Ross would see additional time if Williams is unable to give it a go, but it's unlikely that either could match the 26 and 27 point games Williams has posted in the last two contests.
Lou Williams, SG2/20/2015 9:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Louis Williams scored a team-high 26 points in 24 minutes on Friday.

Amir Johnson, F11/4/2014 11:53:00 AM
Description: Raptors power forward Amir Johnson did not play Sunday night and is questionable for Tuesday.

Insight: Lowry got to the free-throw line 11 times and made nine of those shots. Lowry also made two 3-pointers. Fantasy owners like the 21 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal from the guard, but they still want a better shooting percentage from Lowry.

Insight: He played only 21 minutes, and was 4-of-5 from the field, but 9-of-10 from the line, for his 17 points. Valanciunas also chipped in eight rebounds and a block. It was a solid opening night, and owners can expect his playing to increase as well.
Patrick Patterson, F10/25/2014 1:51:00 PM
Description: Raptors forward Patrick Patterson is the classic player who is better in real life than in fantasy.
Insight: Patterson contributes intangibles off the bench to Toronto and the team is happy to have him. For fantasy, however, Peterson is a guy who will average about eight points and five rebounds per game off the bench.
Greivis Vasquez, G10/25/2014 1:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Greivis Vasquez only has value in deeper leagues unless Kyle Lowry gets hurt.
Insight: The days of Vasquez leading the league in assists are long gone, mostly because he is a backup to Lowry. He will contribute about four-to-five assists per game, but his value in standards leagues is strictly as a handcuff to Lowry.
Terrence Ross, SG10/25/2014 1:44:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Terrence Ross' fantasy value largely depends on how many 3-pointers he can shoot per game.
Insight: Ross is only 23-years-old, so he can definitely continue to get better. For right now though, his fantasy impact is mostly in 3-point shooting. He made 40.1 percent of his 3-pointers last season while averaging 12.2 PPG and 2.3 3-pointers per game.

Description: Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas could be poised for a breakout season in 2014-2015.
Insight: Valanciunas dropped his fouls per game from 3.2 to 2.8 after the All-Star break last season and that allowed him to stay on the court to make an impact. He averaged 16.8 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 0.9 BPG, 57.6 field goal percentage and 76.6 free-throw percentage in eight April games. He is on the verge of breaking out as a star.
DeMar DeRozan, G/F10/25/2014 1:35:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan will lead Toronto in scoring again this season.
Insight: DeRozan led the team in scoring and assists last season. Toronto will need him to score again this season, and he takes a lot of free throws as well. DeRozan still might not give fantasy owners a ton of 3-pointers, but he has a lot of other things to offer.
Kyle Lowry, G10/25/2014 1:29:00 PM
Description: Kyle Lowry posted career-best numbers in nearly every category last season.
Insight: That begs the question, can he repeat last season's success? He averaged 17.9 PPG, 7.4 APG, 2.4 3-pointers, 13.7 FGA, 4.9 FTA and shot 38 percent from behind the arc. It will be hard for Lowry to repeat those numbers as we don't expect him to play in 79 games again, but he has little competition for his position and the Raptors need him to score. He should be a reliable fantasy player once again.
Kyle Lowry, G7/3/2014 12:49:00 PM
Description: According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Raptors have re-signed Kyle Lowry to a four-year, $48 million contract.
Insight: Lowry was one of top second-tier free agents available, but he'll stick with the Raptors rather than taking less money to play with Houston or Miami. The 28-year-old had his best season in 2013-14, averaging 36.2 minutes, 17.9 points, 7.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 threes and 1.5 steals per game.
Kyle Lowry, G6/21/2014 4:00:00 PM
Description: Kyle Lowry and the Heat appear to be interested in joining forces. The point guard will become a free agent on July 1st. SOURCE: Brian Windhorst, ESPN
Insight: Lowry had a breakout year for the Raptors, averaging 17.9 ppg and 7.4 apg in 79 games during the regular season. Miami has certainly been lacking in the point guard department and Lowry would be a huge upgrade over Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers. Still, Lowry could probably earn more money elsewhere as the Heat are likely to use most of their salary cap space on re-signing LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Whatever Lowry makes next season, it will definitely be more than the $6.2 million he earned in 2013-14.
