Insight: Oladipo probable won't play much Friday, if at all, but he's obviously much closer now that he's gotten clearance. Evan Fournier (18.2 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.1 apg) will take the brunt of the hit when Oladipo plays.

Description: Magic guard Victor Oladipo has been a limited participant in practices and is getting used to his mask according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.
Insight: He is still expected to miss the first month of the season, but Oladipo is improving. Keep him stashed away on the bench or IR.

Description: Magic guard Evan Fournier led his team with 20 points as Orlando beat Minnesota in overtime, 112-103.

Tobias Harris, F11/4/2014 10:43:00 PM
Description: Magic power forward Tobias Harris had a team-high 21 points in Tuesday's loss to Chicago.
Insight: He had 21 points and nine rebounds, along with one assist, one steal, one block, and one turnover. Harris played 37 minutes and should continue to see heavy playing time.
Kyle O'Quinn, C11/4/2014 11:56:00 AM
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn is questionable for Tuesday's game against Chicago due to an ankle issue.
Insight: O'Quinn played just 21 minutes in the opener due to foul trouble and the ankle issue and hasn't played since. He has minimal fantasy value even when healthy.
Elfrid Payton, G11/1/2014 9:44:00 PM
Description: Magic point guard Elfrid Payton easily had his best game of his very brief NBA-career on Saturday.
Insight: Payton scored 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting. He also shot 50 percent from the free-throw line, which fantasy owners hope the guard improves upon. The nine assists versus one turnover is definitely a positive sign that things are perhaps finally clicking with the rookie.
Nikola Vucevic, C10/30/2014 9:38:00 PM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double in Thursday's loss to Washington.
Insight: He had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and will provide those type of numbers all season long.
Kyle O'Quinn, C10/30/2014 12:10:00 PM
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn is questionable for Thursday's game against Washington due to an ankle issue.
Insight: O'Quinn started at PF with Channing Frye sidelined and barring a setback should get another start as Frye isn't likely back until Saturday. O'Quinn played just 21 minutes in the opener due to foul trouble and the ankle issue.
Channing Frye, C10/30/2014 12:08:00 PM
Description: Magic F/C Channing Frye (sprained left knee) is questionable for Thursday's game against Washington.
Insight: A more reasonable target for Frye is to return Saturday against Toronto. Kyle O'Quinn got the start at PF in his absence, but played just 21 minutes due to foul trouble and an ankle issue.
Elfrid Payton, G10/28/2014 10:54:00 PM
Description: Magic point guard Elfrid Payton had a disappointing first game in the Association.
Insight: Payton shot 2-of-8 from the field and scored four points. He did contribute in other ways, though, with five rebounds, seven assists and one steal. Owners can come to expect these rough shooting nights from the rookie.
Aaron Gordon, F10/27/2014 4:56:00 PM
Description: Magic forward Aaron Gordon will have a tough time making am impact on the fantasy basketball season in 2014-15.
Insight: He is starting the season as the backup power forward, and while he should show some glimpses of positive production, it is very likely Gordon will be extremely inconsistent during his rookie season.
Channing Frye, C10/27/2014 4:53:00 PM
Description: Magic F/C Channing Frye (knee) is unlikely to be ready for opening day.
Insight: He will come off the bench for Orlando once he is healthy, and while he averaged 11.1 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game last season with the Suns, Frye really makes his mark shooting three-pointers (2.0 three-points made per game last season). He will still provide long-distance shooting for fantasy owners, but it needs to be known that he will be competeing with players like Aaron Gordon, Tobias Harris, and Nikola Vucevic for playing time this season.
Elfrid Payton, G10/27/2014 4:49:00 PM
Description: Orlando point guard Elfrid Payton could be a sleeper for the upcoming fantasy season.
Insight: Payton will start at point guard for the Magic, and with Victor Oladipo sidelined early on, the ball will be in Payton's hands a ton. Owners who took him around the 11th round, could have a rising star on their hands.
Evan Fournier, G10/27/2014 4:46:00 PM
Description: Magic guard Evan Fournier will start at shooting guard during Victor Oladipo's absence.
Insight: He came over in the Aaron Afflalo deal, and while he should see some minutes early on, Fournier should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
Moe Harkless, F10/27/2014 4:42:00 PM
Description: Magic small forward Moe Harkless will open up the season as the team's starter at the position.
Insight: He most likely will not be a fantasy-relevant player, but owners should keep an eye on his production nevertheless. Harkless averaged 7.4 points per game and 1.2 steals per game last season, and if he get can his scoring up, he may become a player that has some value.
Nikola Vucevic, C10/27/2014 4:38:00 PM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic should continue to average a double-double this season.
Insight: He averaged 14.2 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game last season, along with shooting 51 percent from the field. As a result, owners can start Vucevic at the center position with extreme confidence.
Tobias Harris, F10/27/2014 4:30:00 PM
Description: Magic power forward Tobias Harris was quietly a solid fantasy player in 2013-14.
Insight: He averaged 14.6 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, 0.7 steals per game, while shooting 46 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line, in only 36 games started. Now, firmly entrenced as Orlando's starting power forward, Harris will have a nice opportunity to improve on those numbers, and any fantasy owner who has him, should expect that increase in production.
Victor Oladipo, G10/27/2014 4:25:00 PM
Description: Magic guard Victor Oladipo should be a productive fantasy player, once he returns from his facial fracture.
Insight: He is expected to miss the first month of the season, but any owner who owns Oladipo should be thrilled to have him. He averaged 13.8 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 4.1 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game as a rookie, which should all trend up for this season. However, his .419 field goal percentage may take a few seasons, for owners to see a drastic improvement in. Oladipo will continue to get better and better, and at only 22-years-old, he should be a solid fantasy player for years to come.
Victor Oladipo, G10/25/2014 4:56:00 PM
Description: Magic starting point guard Victor Oladipo is expected to miss one month due to his facial fracture according to Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Typically, players are out five-to-seven games with a facial fracture, so this is unusual. The Magic have not announced which bone in Oladipo's face is broken. The Orlando point guard is still worth a look in deeper leagues.
Victor Oladipo, G10/24/2014 1:50:00 PM
Description: Magic starting point guard Victor Oladipo's suffered a facial fracture during Thursday's practice and is out indefinitely.
Insight: Oladipo was set for a big sophomore season after averaging 13.8 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.1 apg as a rookie. Evan Fournier should slide into the starting role until Oladipo returns with Ben Gordon seeing more minutes.
Nikola Vucevic, C10/21/2014 7:54:00 PM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic has signed a four-year contract extension.
Insight: It is worth $53 million, which is a nice pay day for Orlando's starting center. Owners should take Vucevic early in drafts, and have fun while he fills stat sheets.
Victor Oladipo, G10/10/2014 6:34:00 PM
Description: Magic rookie Victor Oladipo's will not play on Friday due to "minor knee soreness" according to orlandomagic.com.
Insight: Oladipo will likely be back for the start of the regular season, so fantasy owners can still target him for a mid-round pick.
Jameer Nelson, G10/5/2014 12:30:00 PM
Description: Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said that he considers guard Jameer Nelson as the starter at point guard.
Insight: Nelson has apparently beaten out Raymond Felton, who is suspended for the first four games of the season anyway and Devin Harris. Of course, drafting Nelson comes with an injury risk as he's failed to play more than 68 games in each of the last three seasons.
Jameer Nelson, G9/30/2014 9:24:00 PM
Description: Mavericks guard Jameer Nelson looks like he has a slight edge over Raymond Felton and Devin Harris for the starting point guard role according to ESPN Dallas.
Insight: Felton is suspended for the first four games of the season and Harris is likely better as a player coming off the bench, so Nelson sort of wins the job by default. Either way, he is worth a look for fantasy owners in the late rounds.
Jameer Nelson, G7/24/2014 8:16:00 PM
Description: Former Magic point guard Jameer Nelson has signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
Insight: Nelson will join a crowded backcourt with point guards Raymond Felton and Devin Harris. Considering all three have had their share of injuries it might be wise for the Mavericks to keep them all. Nelson averaged 12.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.0 apg last season in Orlando but lost his job to a youth movement.
Elfrid Payton, G7/10/2014 7:55:00 PM
Description: Early notice that Orlando point guard Elfrid Payton could be a box score filler.
Insight: Payton posted eight points, nine rebounds and 10 assists in Thursday's Summer League contest with Boston.
Channing Frye, C7/7/2014 10:09:00 PM
Description: Channing Frye has agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract with the Orlando Magic.
Insight: For some reason, the rebuilding Magic have given Frye and Ben Gordon a combined $41 million this offseason. Frye missed all of 2012-13 due to a heart condition before starting all 82 games for the Suns in 2013-14. He averaged 28.2 minutes, 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 threes per game, but he's actually entering a more crowded frontcourt in Orlando. The Magic will have to find a way to get minutes to Tobias Harris, Maurice Harkless, Kyle O'Quinn, Nikola Vucevic, rookie Aaron Gordon and Frye. In Phoenix, Markieff Morris will likely take over the starting power forward job after finishing fourth in Sixth Man of the Year voting last season.
Ben Gordon, G7/2/2014 4:50:00 PM
Description: The Magic have signed Ben Gordon to a two-year, $9 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Gordon was a frequent DNP-Coach's Decision last season and shot just 34.3 percent over 19 games for Charlotte. This deal is a head-scratcher.
Jameer Nelson, G6/30/2014 7:16:00 PM
Description: The Magic have waived point guard Jameer Nelson, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Insight: The Magic will go with a starting backcourt of rookie Elfrid Payton and 2013 No. 2 overall pick Victor Oladipo after waiving Nelson and trading Arron Afflalo last week. Nelson will likely sign with a contender.

Description: Orlando guard Arron Afflalo has been mentioned in multiple trade rumors and could be dealt prior to Thursday night's NBA Draft. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: One rumor has Afflalo going to the Bulls while there's also word he could be part of a three-team trade involving Kevin Love. Either way, Afflalo (18.2 ppg in 2013-14) is unlikey to be back with the Magic next season.
Jameer Nelson, G4/16/2014 5:51:00 PM
Description: Orlando point guard Jameer Nelson won't suit up Wednesday against Indiana. SOURCE: John Denton, OrlandoMagic.com

Jameer Nelson, G4/14/2014 6:37:00 PM
Description: Magic guard Jameer Nelson (groin strain) will not play Monday, according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.
Insight: It's his second straight absence. Victor Oladipo and E'Twaun Moore will see more playing time.
Jameer Nelson, G4/14/2014 2:23:00 PM

Description: Magic guard Jameer Nelson (groin strain) will miss Sunday's game against the Nets, according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.
Insight: Nelson has shot under 40 percent from the field for the second straight season and averaged 12.1 ppg, 7.0 apg, 3.4 rpg and 2.0 3pg. His absence will open up more playing time for Victor Oladipo and E'Twaun Moore.
Nikola Vucevic, C4/13/2014 5:06:00 PM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic (Achilles) is done for the season, according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.

Nikola Vucevic, C4/11/2014 1:40:00 PM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic is expected to miss Friday's game against Washington.
Insight: He's still bothered by a sore Achilles. At this point, it's probably safe to assume that Vucevic won't play again this season, though he is traveling with the team. That leaves Kyle O'Quinn (5.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg) is getting about 28-30 minutes per game.
Nikola Vucevic, C4/9/2014 11:12:00 AM
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic won't be in action Wednesday versus Brooklyn. SOURCE: John Denton, OrlandoMagic.com
Insight: He's been bothered by a sore Achilles. At this point, it's probably safe to assume that Vucevic won't play again this season. That leaves Kyle O'Quinn (5.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and Andrew Nicholson (5.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg) as the team's best low post options.
Kyle O'Quinn, C4/5/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn scored 14 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots Saturday against the Timberwolves.
Insight: The Magic were without Nikola Vucevic (Achilles) for a second straight game. O'Quinn has rejected 2.2 shots per game over his last 18 games despite playing just 22 minutes per game in that span.

Description: Magic shooting guard Victor Oladipo had one of his best games Friday against the Knicks.
Insight: Oladipo (30 points, 14 assists, nine rebounds) was within one rebound of his second career triple-double. This comes on the heels of an awful game Wednesday against Cleveland (four points on 2-of-6 shooting). Oladipo (49 minutes) obviously benefited from the two overtime periods so fantasy owners should temper their expectations.
Glen Davis, F2/20/2014 9:04:00 PM
Description: The Magic weren't able to trade Glen Davis on Thursday and will now buy out the rest of his contract.
Insight: By this time tomorrow, Big Baby will be a free agent. Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski says the Clippers could be a good fit for Davis (12.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg). Kyle O'Quinn (4.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg) should benefit the most from Davis' departure.

Insight: Afflalo has regressed to 15.1 points per game over his last 13 games after putting up 20.9 in his first 37. He could be a trade candidate after the All-Star break and fantasy owners should be shopping him during the break.
Nikola Vucevic, C2/9/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Orlando center Nikola Vucevic muscled his way to 19 points and 13 rebounds Sunday against the Pacers.
Insight: Vucevic held his own against Roy Hibbert, who was limited to just six points in 34 minutes of court time. It doesn't seem to matter who he's playing against. If Vucevic is out there, he's going to give you a dozen points and 10+ rebounds. He continues to be a bright spot for a Magic team that hasn't had much to cheer about this season.
Jason Maxiell, F2/9/2014 5:23:00 PM
Description: Orlando PF/C Jason Maxiell won't be in action Sunday against Indiana. SOURCE: Evan Dunlap, SB Nation

Jameer Nelson, G2/4/2014 1:42:00 PM

Victor Oladipo, GCold2/3/2014 11:44:00 PM
Description: Orlando rookie guard Victor Oladipo has made just 5-of-27 (.185) from the field his last two games.

Nikola Vucevic, C2/3/2014 11:42:00 PM
