Kevin Martin, G2/25/2015 10:27:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin finished with a team-high 28 points during Wednesday's win against the Wizards.
Insight: He did so shooting 10-of-15 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. Martin also had two rebounds, one assist, two 3-pointers, two steals, and three turnovers.
Kevin Garnett, C2/25/2015 10:25:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett started and played 19 minutes in his return on Wednesday night.
Insight: He finished with just five points, eight boards, two assists, one steal, and two blocks. Garnett was given an emotional tribute before being announced with the starters. It is nice to see him back in Minnesota.
Andrew Wiggins, G2/23/2015 10:40:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins had 30 points in the, 113-102, loss to the Rockets on Monday.
Insight: James Harden stole the show with a triple-double, but Wiggins turned in a solid fantasy game in his own right. He was 12-for-24, hit one 3-pointer and 5-for-5 at the line. He also had seven rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal.
Luc Mbah a Moute, F2/23/2015 1:45:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Luc Mbah a Moute missed Sunday's game but is probable for Monday's game against Miami.
Insight: He missed the flight due to personal reasons. He's averaging 10.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.3 spg and is a solid team player, just not a great fantasy option.
Gary Neal, G2/23/2015 1:43:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Gary Neal (ankle) will miss Monday's game against Houston.
Insight: Neal had six points in 11 minutes Friday night. The injury means more playing time for starter Kevin Martin.
Shabazz Muhammad, G2/21/2015 7:09:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad will undergo surgery on his finger and miss the rest of the season.
Insight: This is a tough blow for Muhammad, who showed signs of improvement this season, averaging 13.5 ppg and 4.1 rpg. He was able to play on Friday, which apparently was not a good idea. Muhammad should be ready to go for training camp.
Anthony Bennett, F2/21/2015 3:52:00 PM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett started at power forward on Friday versus the Suns, but injured his right leg and has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Houston.
Insight: Bennett's time will go to Gorgui Dieng who had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 38 minutes after the injury to Bennett.
Shabazz Muhammad, G2/21/2015 3:49:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad won't play Monday against Houston after playing 13 minutes Friday night.
Insight: Muhammad is still dealing with the finger issue. Ignore him until he's 100 percent.
Gorgui Dieng, CHot2/21/2015 10:57:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng could see playing time at PF if Anthony Bennett's leg injury keeps him on the sidelines.
Insight: Dieng had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 38 minutes Friday after Bennett went down and is a viable fantasy option if he continues to see big minutes.
Anthony Bennett, F2/21/2015 10:55:00 AM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett started at power forward on Friday versus the Suns, but injured his right leg and is questionable for Monday's game against Houston.
Insight: Bennett's time will go to Gorgui Dieng who had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 38 minutes after the injury to Bennett.
Nikola Pekovic, C2/20/2015 10:40:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic had a double-double in the victory over the Suns on Friday.

Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin was 10-for-16 from the field on Friday on his way to 28 points.

Luc Mbah a Moute, F2/20/2015 9:36:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Luc Mbah a Moute had 16 points and 10 rebounds in Friday's loss versus the Pacers.
Insight: Philadelphia is taking tanking to a whole new level as they traded away Michael Carter-Williams on Thursday. Isaiah Canaan will see a lot of opportunities, but with absolutely no talent, Mbah a Moute should see plenty of chances to score as well.
Anthony Bennett, F2/20/2015 7:06:00 PM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett will start at power forward on Friday versus the Suns.
Insight: Bennett has played only 13.0 minutes per game in the last two contests, so Bennett owners are pleased with this move. He should see quite a bit of action against the Suns.
Kevin Garnett, C2/20/2015 2:32:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett will not be ready to go Friday night as he isn't expected to arrive in Minnesota until Saturday.
Insight: Garnett (6.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg in 42 games with the Nets) doesn't have much fantasy value, but his failure to get the physical right away will hurt Thadeus Young's fantasy owners.
Kevin Garnett, C2/19/2015 4:35:00 PM
Description: Future Hall of Fame forward Kevin Garnett has been traded back to the team where he got his start, the Timberwolves.
Insight: Garnett doesn't play enough minutes to be fantasy worthy, averaging 6.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg in 42 games with the Nets. He won't be any better in Minnesota.
J.J. Barea, G2/19/2015 10:14:00 AM
Description: Guard J.J. Barea will return to his bench role with the expected return of Rajon Rondo to the starting lineup.
Insight: Barea had averaged 11.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.8 apg in eight starts. He averages just 7.1 ppg coming off the bench, so you can safely leave him on the sidelines starting Thursday night.
Nikola Pekovic, C2/11/2015 10:26:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic recorded 17 points and 13 boards during Wednesday's loss versus Golden State.
Insight: Pekovic should be owned everywhere, and is a borderline top-100 player in standard leagues.
Mo Williams, PG2/10/2015 1:44:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guards Mo Williams has reportedly been traded to the Charlotte Hornets for Gary Neal.
Insight: Williams was losing playing time in Minnesota with the return of Ricky Rubio, so the move to Charlotte, where Kemba Walker is injured, can only help his fantasy value.
J.J. Barea, G2/10/2015 9:52:00 AM
Description: Guard J.J. Barea could be a viable fantasy option for Wednesday's game against Utah of Monta Ellis' injury keeps him sidelined.
Insight: Barea and backup Devin Harris would see a lot of playing time with Rajon Rondo and Ellis watching in street clothes. Barea posted 15 points and seven assists Monday after Ellis went down.
Kevin Martin, G2/9/2015 10:49:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin made three 3-pointers in Minnesota's loss to Atlanta on Monday.
Insight: Martin was 7-of-13 from the field on his way to a team-high 21 points. He also had five rebounds and two assists. Martin has been a great scorer this season, averaging 20.1 ppg.
Ricky Rubio, G2/9/2015 11:34:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio sat out Sunday, but is expected to return Monday versus Atlanta.
Insight: The day off was the team being conservative after he missed so much time. He's averaging 10.3 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 8.5 apg, 1.4 spg in eight games this season and is a viable fantasy option even against the tough, defensive-minded Hawks.
Andrew Wiggins, G2/8/2015 8:38:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins turned in a very good fantasy night versus the Pistons on Sunday.
Insight: Wiggins was 6-of-12 shooting, making his only 3-point attempt on his way to 18 points. He also had eight rebounds, five assists and a block.
Nikola Pekovic, C2/8/2015 8:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic led the team with 29 points as Minnesota defeated Detroit, 112-101.
Insight: Pekovic was 9-of-16 from the field and hit 11-for-12 from the line. Unfortunately, Pekovic didn't do much else on Sunday with just three rebounds, two steals and an assist. The scoring spike is nice, but Pekovic has just 10 rebounds in the last three games combined.
Shabazz Muhammad, G2/7/2015 2:58:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad won't play Saturday, but is expected to return Monday, according to head coach Flip Saunders.
Insight: Muhammad had been playing pretty well, averaging 13.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.2 apg and 15.6 ppg in 13 starts, but with the return of Kevin Martin and Ricky Rubio and the solid play of Andrew Wiggins, Muhammad might not see as much playing time as earlier this season. Take a wait and see approach.
Ricky Rubio, G2/6/2015 10:32:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio played well during Friday's win over the Grizzlies.
Insight: He went for 17 points, five assists, five rebounds, three 3-pointers, three steals, and three turnovers. Rubio played 26 minutes, and it looks like his playing time will continue to trend up.
J.J. Barea, G2/5/2015 10:29:00 AM
Description: Guard J.J. Barea is starting in place of the injured Rajon Rondo, but isn't a great fantasy option.
Insight: Barea and backup Devin Harris are sharing time fairly evenly alongside Monta Ellis. Barea has averaged 28.5 mpg over the last two contests while Harris has seen 22.5 mpg.
Kevin Martin, G2/4/2015 10:54:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin scored 30 points during Wednesday's win over the Heat.
Insight: It was a team-high, and he also had three assists, three rebounds, four 3-pointers, two steals, and two turnovers. Martin is worthy of a roster spot.
Nikola Pekovic, C2/4/2015 2:25:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic said his ankle is sore after games and will likely be that way for the rest of the season, according to Phil Ervin of FOX Sports North.
Insight: Pekovic is playing solid basketball despite the sore ankle (13.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.3 apg since returning from the injury) so fantasy owners must keep playing him. Expect him to miss a few games down the stretch.
Shabazz Muhammad, G2/4/2015 11:28:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad won't play Wednesday, but is hoping to return Friday against Memphis.
Insight: Muhammad had been playing pretty well, averaging 13.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.2 apg and 15.6 ppg in 13 starts, but with the return of Kevin Martin and Ricky Rubio and the play of Andrew Wiggins, Muhammad might not see as much playing time as earlier this season.
Ricky Rubio, G2/3/2015 4:11:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio (ankle) came out of Monday's game fine, and is probable for Wednesday.
Insight: Rubio played 20 minutes in his return to action, and managed 10 points and four assists. It will probably take a few games before Minnesota lets him completely loose.
Ricky Rubio, G2/2/2015 10:55:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio played 21 minutes and scored 10 points in his first action in nearly three months.
Insight: Rubio was 4-of-9 and went 2-for-2 at the line. He missed his only 3-point attempt. Rubio also had four assists, three rebounds and three turnovers. Expect the Timberwolves to continue to bring him along slowly.
J.J. Barea, G2/2/2015 8:34:00 PM
Description: Guard J.J. Barea will start in place of the injured Rajon Rondo on Monday.
Insight: Barea is still only worth a look in deep leagues. He will likely play about 20-23 minutes. Devin Harris is a better fantasy option.
Mo Williams, PG2/2/2015 7:35:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guards Mo Williams will play on Monday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Williams, however, will see a reduction in minutes as Ricky Rubio returns to the starting lineup for the Timberwolves. Once Zach LaVine returns from his injury, Williams will have very little fantasy value left.
Ricky Rubio, G2/2/2015 7:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio will play on Monday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Rubio will be making his return to the lineup after he suffered an ankle sprain in November. Timberwolves coach Flip Sanders said he expects Rubio to play around 20 minutes.

Description: Timberwolves guards Mo Williams (hip) now says he intends to play Monday, so call him probable, according to Jerry Zgoda of The Star Tribune.

Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine is doubtful for Monday's game against Dallas after suffering an ankle injury on Friday.
Insight: Lorenzo Brown has been playing 30 plus minutes, but should get help from the return of Mo Williams or Ricky Rubio Monday night,
Lorenzo Brown, G2/2/2015 10:48:00 AM
Description: The Timberwolves just-signed point guard Lorenzo Brown has averaged almost 32 minutes per game over his last three contests due to multiple njuries in the Minnesota backcourt.
Insight: Saturday, he played 48 minutes (1 point, nine assists, six rebounds). That number should be greatly reduced if Ricky Rubio and Mo Williams are ready to go Monday.
Mo Williams, PG2/2/2015 10:44:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guards Mo Williams (hip) hopes to return Monday.
Insight: Just signed Lorenzo Brown has been playing big minutes the last three games, but reinforcements could be arriving in the form of Williams and Ricky Rubio.
Ricky Rubio, G2/2/2015 10:42:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio (ankle) could return on Monday versus Dallas.
Insight: Even should he return Monday it will be in a very limited capacity, so fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to help them out for a while. In Saunders words "just a few minutes."
Andrew Wiggins, G1/31/2015 10:53:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points in the first half during Saturday's loss to the Cavaliers.
Insight: He finished with 33 points, and went 14-of-25 from the field, 2-of-3 from the line, and 3-of-4 from deep. Wiggins also had one assist, one board, four steals, and one turnover.
Mo Williams, PG1/31/2015 7:44:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guards Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) will not play Saturday against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Lorenzo Brown will start, and Ricky Rubio is expected back on Monday, making this situation possibly just for Saturday's contest.
Zach LaVine, G1/31/2015 1:57:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Cavaliers after suffering an ankle injury on Friday.
Insight: Mo Williams is also questionable so there's a chance Lorenzo Brown plays major minutes versus Cleveland. Ricky Rubio should be back on Monday, so Brown only has value for one game.
Mo Williams, PG1/31/2015 1:56:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Cavaliers.
Insight: Zach LaVine is also questionable so there's a chance Lorenzo Brown plays major minutes versus Cleveland. Ricky Rubio should be back on Monday, so Brown only has value for one game.

Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic had 18 points in the loss versus the 76ers on Friday.

Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine left Friday's game with a left ankle sprain and is questionable to return according to RotoWorld.

Zach LaVine, G1/30/2015 6:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine will start again on Friday.
Insight: LaVine was 7-of-9 from the field, including 1-for-1 from the 3-point line, on his way to 17 points on Wednesday. He was also 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. He might be worth the gamble again on Friday to see if he can keep it going.
Mo Williams, PG1/30/2015 6:32:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams will not play versus the 76ers due to personal reasons.
Insight: That means Zach LaVine will start at point guard. LaVine scored 17 points, going 7-of-9 from the field, with six assists, four rebounds and three steals, so it might not be a bad idea to roll with him again.
Mo Williams, PG1/29/2015 12:01:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams missed Wednesday due to a personal reason, but is expected to rejoin the team Thursday.
Insight: Williams is also dealing with a hip injury. Zach LaVine would gain if Williams doesn't play again Thursday.

Insight: LaVine was 7-of-9 from the field, including 1-for-1 from the 3-point line. He was also 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. Perhaps he was excited to hear he will be participating in the slam dunk contest.
Kevin Martin, G1/28/2015 10:19:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin came off the bench and scored a game-high 21 points.
Insight: This is great news considering this was Martin's first game since November. Martin was 7-of-18 from the field, including 2-for-6 at the 3-point line. Martin also had four rebounds and an assist.
Kevin Martin, G1/28/2015 7:02:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin will play on Wednesday versus the Celtics.
Insight: It will be Martin's first game since November. He will probably see limited minutes on Wednesday, but Martin should be owned in all standard leagues.
Kevin Martin, G1/28/2015 2:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) is expected to play Wednesday against the Celtics.
Insight: He is listed as questionable, so there is no guarantee, but Martin is expected to give it a go. He should eventually regain his starting role, which would push Andrew Wiggins to small forward.
Mo Williams, PG1/27/2015 9:07:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is dealing with a hip injury from Sunday and it may have been the cause of his 1-of-10 Monday night.

Thaddeus Young, F1/26/2015 11:18:00 PM
Description: Minnesota forward Thaddeus Young recorded 22 points and eight rebounds during Monday's loss against the Thunder.
Insight: This was Young's second consecutive 20-point outing. He went 8-of-20 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the line, and also chipped in thee assists, two steals, and three turnovers.
Gorgui Dieng, C1/26/2015 11:17:00 PM

Insight: The good news for fantasy owners is that Dieng continues to start even with Nikola Pekovic back with the starters as well. Dieng also had six points, two assists, three blocks, one steal, and two turnovers in 36 minutes of action. He is still worthy of a roster spot.
Kevin Martin, G1/26/2015 1:10:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) has been downgraded to out for Monday's game, according to the team's site.
Insight: He's been listed as questionable for about a week and has yet to play a game so this shouldn't be a big surprise. Robbie Hummel had been getting the time, but he too is injured. Andrew Wiggins, Mo Williams and Thaddeus Young will get all the minutes they can handle.
Robbie Hummel, F1/26/2015 5:44:00 AM
Description: Minnesota SG/SF Robbie Hummel suffered a broken hand during Sunday's game against Atlanta and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Insight: Hummel (4.1 ppg, 2.7 rpg) was seeing a decent amount of playing time, but the expected return of Kevin Martin and Shabazz Muhammad was about to put him on the bench anyway.

Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic played a season-high 36 minutes in his return to the starting lineup on Sunday.
Insight: Pekovic finished with 15 points, three rebounds and an assist. It is safe to put Pekovic back into the lineup as he was very impressive in his first start since returning from his ankle injury.

Nikola Pekovic, C1/25/2015 6:38:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic will start on Sunday versus the Hawks.
Insight: This means Pekovic and Gorgui Dieng will both start. It will be interesting to see how that effects each's production.
Kevin Martin, G1/25/2015 2:10:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) has swelling in his right wrist and after missing Saturday's practice should be considered doubtful to play Sunday.

Zach LaVine, G1/25/2015 10:26:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine missed Saturday's practice with an elbow injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Insight: Mo Williams has been playing most of the point guard minutes anyway and LaVine is not a fantasy option. Williams will be a fantasy option only until Ricky Rubio is ready to play and that should be pretty soon.
Gorgui Dieng, C1/23/2015 10:51:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng had 14 points and 15 rebounds during Friday's loss against thee Pelicans.
Insight: With Nikola Pekovic back in action, Dieng is destined to see a decrease in value. If possible, owners need to sell high on him ASAP.

Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) was a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Dallas (he did not play) and is questionable for Friday's game against New Orleans.
Insight: He's been gone since Nov. 19, so it would not be surprising to see him start with a minutes limit. He averaged 20.4 ppg. 3.7 rpg, 1.9 apg for the first nine games this season.
Andrew Wiggins, G1/21/2015 10:16:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins managed a team-high 18 points during Wednesday's loss against the Mavericks.

Ricky Rubio, G1/21/2015 2:18:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio will not play on Wednesday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Rubio has been doing contact drills in practice and hopes to return late in January. Being that it's already the 21st, we are guessing that means next week. Mo Williams will continue to have the greatest spike in fantasy value as long as Rubio is out.

Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Dallas, according to Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.

Nikola Pekovic, C1/20/2015 4:15:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Dallas.
Insight: He has played in just nine games this season, so it will be nice to see Pekovic return to the court. Once he retruns to his full workload, Gorgui Dieng's value will take a major hit.
Ricky Rubio, G1/20/2015 4:08:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio took part in contact drills for the first time Tuesday, according to NBA writer Jon Krawczynski.
Insight: Rubio was injured on Nov. 7. He's going to return soon, so if he was dropped in your fantasy league, pick Rubio and his 9.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 10.0 apg, 1.2 spg up right now.
Thaddeus Young, F1/19/2015 5:30:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young had 18 points versus the Hornets on Monday.

Mo Williams, PG1/13/2015 9:36:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams scored a career-high 52 points during Tuesday's win against the Pacers.
Insight: No, that is not a misprint. Williams was unconscious, going 19-of-33 from the field, 8-of-9 from the line, and 6-of-11 from deep. He also had seven assists, four boards, and three turnovers. It was the game of Williams' life.
Gorgui Dieng, C1/13/2015 2:03:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng (illness) did not practice Monday and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Indiana.
Insight: Dieng is coming off an 18-point, 12-rebound effort and averaging 10.4 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 2.4 apg as a starter this season.
Nikola Pekovic, C1/12/2015 4:15:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) practiced Monday and could be getting close, according to Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press
Insight: Pekovic (11.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg) has not played since Nov. 15, but when he is ready to return, it will limit the value of Gorgui Dieng (9.9 ppg, 8.2 rpg).
Shabazz Muhammad, G1/12/2015 2:36:00 PM

Shabazz Muhammad, G1/11/2015 10:38:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad is questionable for Tuesday's game against Indiana due to an abdominal issue.
Insight: Muhammad has been playing pretty well this season, averaging 13.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.2 apg and 15.6 ppg in 13 starts. He's up almost 10 ppg from last season.
Gorgui Dieng, C1/10/2015 10:40:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng recorded a double-double versus the Spurs on Saturday.
Insight: Dieng has been on fire lately. He had 18 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday, which both were team-highs. Dieng has a double-double in two of his last four games.
Andrew Wiggins, G1/10/2015 9:31:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins scored a team-high 20 points during Friday's loss to the Bucks.
Insight: He went 6-of-17 from the field and 7-of-9 from the line. Wiggins also had seven rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, and two steals. He is averaging 14.4 ppg, 4.2 rpg, and 1.2 spg.
Luc Mbah a Moute, F1/9/2015 11:23:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Luc Mbah a Moute is questionable for Friday's game against Brooklyn with turf toe.
Insight: Mbah a Moute has missed two straight games with the injury, but had scored double-digits in his previous two outings. Robert Covington would get the start, though he's coming off a horrible 1-for-11 shooting night.
Mo Williams, PG1/9/2015 11:19:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is questionable for Friday's game against Milwaukee due to a sprained right ankle he suffered late in Wednesday's game.
Insight: With Williams likely out and certainly not 100 percent even if he plays, Zach LaVine could be a viable fantasy option.
Nikola Pekovic, C1/6/2015 5:03:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) may be getting an MRI on Wednesday.
Insight: He has not played since Nov. 15, but when he is ready to return, it will limit the value of Gorgui Dieng. However, there is still no timetable for Pekovic's return to action. Stay tuned.
Gorgui Dieng, CHot1/5/2015 10:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng recorded a double-double versus the Nuggets on Monday.
Insight: Dieng scored 22 points, shooting 8-for-12, and grabbed 12 rebounds. He also shot 6-for-6 at the line. Dieng is a decent addition for any fantasy owner looking for shooting percentage and rebounding.
Mo Williams, PG1/5/2015 7:36:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams will start at point guard on Monday against the Nuggets.
Insight: With Williams starting, Zach LaVine will come off the bench. Williams should be in lineups and remain there as long as he is healthy and Ricky Rubio is out with his ankle injury.
Andrew Wiggins, G1/3/2015 10:18:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins continued his strong play of late during Saturday's loss to the Jazz.
Insight: He had 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, and one block. Wiggins has now scored at least 20 points in five of the past six games.
Shabazz Muhammad, G12/31/2014 1:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad scored a team-high 30 points against the Jazz.
Insight: Muhammad tends to have these scoring bursts on occasion. He scored 28 points on Dec. 14 and 26 points on Dec. 19. He also scored 28 points in a game back in November, but 30 points is a season-high. We still, however, don't see Muhammad repeating Tuesday's performance enough to become fantasy relevant. His 5-for-6 from the 3-point line led to the season-high and that will not be repeated routinely.
Thaddeus Young, F12/28/2014 10:10:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young led the team in scoring on Saturday.
Insight: That's not saying much as Young scored 17 points and the Timberwolves lost, 110-97, to the Warriors. Young was efficient, though, shooting 63.6 percent from the field and had six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Gorgui Dieng, CHot12/27/2014 9:57:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng recorded a double-double Friday (14-13), his third in the last five games.
Insight: his numbers in 20 starts are getting close to double-double territory (9.9 ppg, 7.9 rpg) and he should continue to get starts ad Nikola Pekovic (wrist, ankle) will miss more time.
Andrew Wiggins, GHot12/27/2014 9:53:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins had a big night with 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks..
Insight: Wiggins has put together two good games in a row, shooting 50 percent from the field which is well above his season's 39.7 average. Maybe his game is starting to catch up with his physical tools.
Thaddeus Young, F12/27/2014 9:50:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young led the team with 23 points and added six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.
Insight: Young had a solid all-around fantasy day even his free-throw shooting (3-of-4). He's just a bit too inconsistent for fantasy owners as his last five scoring totals indicate (29, 13, 8, 13, 23).
Gorgui Dieng, CHot12/25/2014 11:00:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng recorded a double-double Tuesday (20-11), his second in the last four games.

Nikola Pekovic, C12/25/2014 10:58:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (wrist, ankle) hasn't played since Nov. 15.
Insight: Coach Flip Saunders gave us a four-week timetable in early December, so he should be returning in early January. Gorgui Dieng had a 20-10 game Tuesday, but is averaging 9.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 2.5 apg in 19 starts this season.
Ricky Rubio, G12/25/2014 10:54:00 AM

Andrew Wiggins, G12/23/2014 9:42:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins had a big night versus the team who drafted him.
Insight: Wiggins scored 27 points, shooting over 56 percent and making all three 3-pointer attempts versus the Cavaliers. That was nice to see because Wiggins did not reach double digits in scoring in any of the last three games.
Shabazz Muhammad, G12/19/2014 9:39:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad scored a team-high 26 points during Friday's loss to the Celtics.
Insight: He was 11-of-15 from the floor and 2-of-2 from the line. Muhammad also had five assists, five rebounds, two 3-pointers, and two turnovers. He needs to be owned everywhere with Corey Brewer being shipped to Houston.
Shabazz Muhammad, G12/19/2014 4:37:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad should see an increase in playing time with the departure of Corey Brewer.
Insight: He had already been playing well of late, as he scored at least 18 points in six of his past nine games. Muhammad is definitely worthy of a waiver wire flier.
Thaddeus Young, F12/16/2014 9:27:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young led the team with 29 points, shooting a great 63.2 percent from the floor on Tuesday.
Insight: Young had a great all-around fantasy day except for his free-throw shooting. Young had four rebounds, two assists and two steals to go with his 29 points, but he shot 5-of-12 from the line. Even though free-throw percentage isn't very good this season (61.7 percent), he is rarely below 50 percent.
Mo Williams, PG12/16/2014 12:27:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is questionable for Tuesday's game against Washington due to back spasms.
Insight: Williams will be a true game-time decision. Even if he plays he's likely to be limited in minutes.
Andrew Wiggins, G12/12/2014 10:36:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins scored 18 points in Friday's loss versus Oklahoma City.
Insight: He did so by going 7-of-18 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line. Wiggins also had five rebounds, two, assists, one steal, one block, and two turnovers.
Andrew Wiggins, G12/10/2014 10:35:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins played one of his best games as a pro on Wednesday night.
Insight: Wiggins had 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three turnovers. He will continue to be a little inconsistent.
Corey Brewer, F12/10/2014 10:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer had a nice game during Wednesday's win versus Portland.
Insight: He had 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, five steals, four turnovers, and went 10-of-10 from the line. Brewer is worthy of a roster spot.
Mo Williams, PG12/10/2014 3:29:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is doubtful not just for Wednesday's game but the entire week.
Insight: Williams played 39 minutes on Dec. 3 and that appears to have caused a setback in Williams' back. As long as he is out, Zach LaVine will continue to start.
Andrew Wiggins, G12/8/2014 10:15:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins led the team with 21 points on Tuesday.
Insight: That is the most points Wiggins has scored since Nov. 22 when he had 29. Wiggins shot 8-of-19 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists. All of those numbers are well above his season averages.
Mo Williams, PG12/8/2014 2:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams will miss Monday's game against Golden State with a sore back.
Insight: Zach LaVine will start again at point guard. He posted a 22-point, 10-rebound game Saturday after a 17-point, six-rebound, four-assist Friday. He's playing much better of late and has fantasy value as a starter.
Shabazz Muhammad, G12/8/2014 2:22:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves rookie Shabazz Muhammad is questionable for Monday's game against Golden State due to a sore ankle.
Insight: He expected to get an MRI today after dealing with the pain for about a week. He's posted back-to-back 20-point games so this comes at a horrible time.
Shabazz Muhammad, G12/7/2014 10:15:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves rookie Shabazz Muhammad scored 20 points off the bench during Saturday's loss against San Antonio.
Insight: He did so on 7-of-12 shooting from the field, along with going 5-of-9 from the line. Muhammad also chipped in three rebounds and one 3-pointer. He is averaging 10.8 ppg and 3.4 rpg, making him a poor option.
Anthony Bennett, F12/7/2014 10:12:00 AM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett produced a double-double off the bench on Saturday night.
Insight: He was 6-of-11 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line for 14 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Bennett is still not a reliable option, as he is averaging 7.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
Zach LaVine, G12/7/2014 10:11:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach LaVine recorded his first career double-double during Saturday's loss to the Spurs.
Insight: He had 22 points and 10 assists, along with three rebounds, two 3-pointers, two steals, and two turnovers. LaVine has started the past two games with Mo Williams sidelined, so it will be interesting to see if Minnesota rides the hot hand.
Mo Williams, PG12/6/2014 1:36:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams is still out on Friday with a sore back.
Insight: Zach LaVine will start again at point guard, but he is only an option in very, very deep leagues.
Thaddeus Young, F12/5/2014 10:58:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young scored 19 points in the, 114-112, loss to the Rockets on Friday.
Insight: Young made 9-of-20 shots and added five rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Description: Timberwolves point guard Zach LaVine will get another start at point guard while Ricky Rubio is out with his ankle injury and Mo Williams out with a sore back.
Insight: LaVine could end up playing 35-plus minutes and could be a solid daily fantasy choice.
Mo Williams, PG12/5/2014 4:22:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams has a sore back and will not play Friday night,
Insight: Williams had 14 points in a loss to the Sixers (that's the first time I've written that statement this season) and leaves Zach LeVone as the only point guard on the roster. Corey brewer is likely to spend time handling the ball.
Ricky Rubio, G12/4/2014 5:21:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves coach Flip Sainders confirmed to ESPN point guard Ricky Rubio will not return until January.
Insight: Rubio was hoping to play the day after Christmas, but that won't happen according to this latest report. Mo Williams and Zach LaVine will continue to be the point guards for Minnesota until at least January.
Gorgui Dieng, C12/3/2014 10:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng recorded a double-double, but Minnesota still lost to the worst team in the league.
Insight: Dieng scored 15 points as he shot 50 percent from the floor and grabbed 16 rebounds. The Timberwolves, however, lost to the perviously 0-17 76ers, 85-77.
Nikola Pekovic, C12/2/2014 12:05:00 PM
Description: The news is not good for Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (wrist, ankle).
Insight: His Monday evaluation came back and according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune he is "at least" 7-10 days away from playing. Gorgui Dieng gets his minutes and can give you plenty of rebounding, but is an inconsistent scorer.
Gorgui Dieng, C12/1/2014 11:32:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Gorgui Dieng has been getting 30-plus minutes per night with Nikola Pekovic sidelined and should continue at that level in Monday's game.
Insight: When Dieng gets his minutes he can give you plenty of rebounding, but is an inconsistent scorer.
Nikola Pekovic, C12/1/2014 11:30:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (multiple health issues) is supposed to be re-evaluated this week which which means he's unlikely to go Monday.
Insight: He has not played since Nov. 15 due to a wrist, ankle and personal issues. He's averaging 11.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg this season. Gorgui Dieng gets his minutes and can give you plenty of rebounding, but is an inconsistent scorer.

Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams posted a double-double in Friday's win against the Lakers.
Insight: He shot 8-of-13 from the field, 3-of-3 from the line, and 6-of-8 from deep for 25 points, 11 assists, two steals, one rebound, and three turnovers. Williams will continue to hold value until Ricky Rubio returns.
Thaddeus Young, F11/29/2014 9:46:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young scored 22 points in Friday's win over the Lakers.
Insight: He also had three rebounds, one assist, and four turnovers. Young is averaging 13.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 1.3 apg. Owners need his rebounding to improve.
Mo Williams, PG11/28/2014 6:59:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams will return to the lineup on Friday against the Lakers.
Insight: Williams should get his full amont of minutes. Zach LaVine loses a bit of value with Williams back on the court.
Zach LaVine, G11/28/2014 1:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Zach LaVine could get another start at point guard while Ricky Rubio is out with his ankle injury and Mo Williams sick.

Mo Williams, PG11/28/2014 1:25:00 PM

Gorgui Dieng, C11/28/2014 1:23:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Gorgui Dieng has been getting 30-plus minutes per night with Nikola Pekovic sidelined.
Insight: Until the last game with Milwaukee, Dieng had played well in his substitute role. He averaged 10.2 ppg and 9.7 rpg in the previous four contests making him a underrated fantasy option.
Nikola Pekovic, C11/28/2014 1:21:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic is out for Friday's game against the LA Clippers while dealing with multiple health issues
Insight: He has not played since Nov. 15 due to a wrist, ankle and personal issues. He's averaging 11.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg this season, so whenever he returns he should go right back into the starting lineup. Gorgui Dieng gets his minutes.

Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer scored a team-high 19 points during Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.

Thaddeus Young, F11/24/2014 2:21:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young practiced Monday and is on pace to return for Wednesday's game
Insight: Young missed time due to the passing of his mother. He's seeing almost 32 mpg and averaging 14.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.6 spg. That's not quite as good as last season, but its a new team and it takes time to adapt.

Kevin Martin, G11/19/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin scored 37 points on Wednesday as Minnesota killed New York, 115-99.
Insight: Martin shot 14-of-20 from the field on his way to scoring a season-high 37 points. He was also 7-for-11 from the 3-point line as Minnesota shot well over 60 percent from downtown in the first half. The Timberwolves finished 11-for-22 from behind the arc.
Mo Williams, PG11/19/2014 7:48:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Mo Williams will start on Wednesday against the Knicks.
Insight: Williams takes over for Zach LaVine, who has started the last four games, all losses, for Minnesota. The Timberwolves are looking for someone to step up at point guard since Ricky Rubio will be out for several weeks.
Nikola Pekovic, C11/17/2014 2:14:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic missed time in Saturday's game and should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game against New York due to a sore right foot.

Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin led Minnesota with 34 points in a loss against the Mavericks on Saturday.

Zach LaVine, G11/10/2014 4:48:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Zach LaVine will start at point guard while Ricky Rubio is out with his ankle injury according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Insight: This is somewhat of a surprise because the rookie LaVine was picked over veteran Mo Williams for the starting role. Clearly, Minnesota is not interested in winning now. If there is a guy owners are willing to cut, taking a risk on LaVine is not a bad idea.
Andrew Wiggins, G11/9/2014 11:18:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins shot 3-of-9 from the field in Saturday's loss to the Heat.
Insight: He was 4-of-5 from the line, and had 10 points, two assists, one rebound, and one turnover. Wiggins is now averaging 9.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, and 1.2 spg, and will continue to be inconsistent, especially early on.

Ricky Rubio, G11/8/2014 7:14:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio will be out indefinitely due to a severe ankle sprain.
Insight: The estimated recovery time is 7-to-8 weeks, which hurts owners a ton. Surprisingly Zach LaVine is starting on Saturday, but we still like Mo Williams as a waiver pickup, as he should still see 25-30 minutes per game.
Ricky Rubio, G11/8/2014 10:37:00 AM
Description: X-rays on Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio's ankle were negative according to Bleacher Report.
Insight: That is good news but coach Flip Saunders said the point guard is still expected to miss a good amount of time. He looks like the injury Rubio suffered on Friday was a high ankle sprain. This usually keeps players out for multiple weeks, which means fire up Mo Williams in standard fantasy leagues.
Kevin Love, F11/8/2014 10:03:00 AM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love did not continue his hot 3-point shooting, but scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the victory over the Nuggets.

Mo Williams, PG11/7/2014 8:36:00 PM
Description: Minnesota guard Mo Williams started the second half of Friday's game against the Magic.
Insight: Starting point guard Ricky Rubio left with an ankle sprain in the first half, and it looked serious. Williams should get more minutes with Rubio out, which makes Williams a likely addition to a lot of fantasy teams.
Ricky Rubio, G11/7/2014 8:01:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio left Friday's game against the Magic with an ankle injury.
Insight: Rubio rolled his ankle while driving the lane for a layup. It looked like it could be a serious ankle sprain, but there are no official reports just yet. He had to be helped to the locker room. UPDATE: The Timberwolves are calling Rubio's injury an ankle sprain, and the point guard needs an X-ray.
Andrew Wiggins, G11/5/2014 9:57:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins had the best game of his young NBA career on Wednesday.
Insight: Wiggins scored 17 points against the Nets, shooting 7-for-12 from the field and making his one 3-point attempt. He shot 2-for-4 from the line as well. Before Wednesday, Wiggins' previous career-high in points was eight.
Kevin Martin, G11/5/2014 9:51:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin made four 3-pointers and all six of his free throws on his way to 26 points on Wednesday.

Thaddeus Young, F11/2/2014 12:46:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young was tested for a concussion after colliding with Jimmy Butler in Saturday's game.
Insight: Young passed all his tests and should be ready to go. He's going to see a lot of minutes this season and should be a solid fantasy option. He's currently averaging 17.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.7 spg.
Kevin Martin, G11/2/2014 10:14:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin dropped 33 points to lead all scorers in Saturday's Bulls-Timberwolves game, but it wasn't enough for Minnesota.
Insight: Martin made 9-of-14 shots, including four 3-pointers, and all 11 free throws. He also had seven rebounds and two assists. Martin's problem has never been producing, it's always been staying on the court. If he can stay healthy, Martin must be owned in all standard fantasy leagues.
Ricky Rubio, G10/31/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio has agreed to a four-year contract extension with Minnesota, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Insight: The deal is a $55 million extension, and it makes sense for the Timberwolves to lock up a popular player, after losing Kevin Love in the offseason.
Ricky Rubio, G10/31/2014 12:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is averaging 11 shot attempts per game over the first two contests of 2014-15 and 11.5 ppg.
Insight: We like that his shot attempts are up from 8.2 last season and his career average of 8.8. At this current level and with his passing ability he starts to garner much more fantasy value.
Kevin Love, F10/31/2014 12:16:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love played well in the "Chris Bosh" role for his new team.
Insight: He had 19 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and made three 3-pointers. Expect a double-double from Love almost everytime out, but the 26.1 ppg from last season is likely to take a significant hit as we saw in Game 1.
Kevin Love, F10/30/2014 10:43:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love played well in his team debut.
Insight: He had 19 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and made three 3-pointers. Expect a double-double from Love almost everytime out.
Andrew Wiggins, G10/30/2014 10:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins continued his slow start to the season.
Insight: After having only six points on opening night, Wiggins followed that performance with eight more points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal. There will be growing pains for the rookie, especially early on.
Nikola Pekovic, C10/30/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic rebounded from a poor opening game.
Insight: He had only five points and eight rebounds on Wednesday night, but came to life on Thursday, with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Pekovic should be around these numbers all season long.
Andrew Wiggins, G10/30/2014 1:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins was a bit on the dull side in his NBA debut, scoring six points, three rebounds an assist and a pair of steals in 19 minutes.
Insight: Wiggins was dealing with a sore back so perhaps he didn't push it. Like most rookies, the first season will be filled with ups and downs and fantasy owners who pick him in non-dynasty leagues should be aware of the inconsistent nature of the selection.
Ronny Turiaf, C10/30/2014 12:31:00 PM
Description: Minnesota backup center Ronny Turiaf is questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit.
Insight: Turiaf has no fantasy value behind centers Nikola Pekovic and Gorgui Dieng.
Glenn Robinson III, F10/30/2014 12:31:00 PM
Description: Glenn Robinson III is questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit due to a sprained ankle.
Insight: Robinson is buried on the depth chart and wouldn't have value even if healthy.
Kevin Martin, G10/30/2014 12:28:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (ankle) did not play on Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit.
Insight: Martin is injury-prone, but can produce when on the court. He averaged 19.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 68 games last season.
Kevin Love, F10/30/2014 12:19:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love is dealing with bruised ribs but is expected to play Thursday.
Insight: Love practiced Wednesday so fantasy owners should not be concerned. It will be interesting to see how he works with two other elite players - LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
Thaddeus Young, F10/29/2014 10:33:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young looked fantastic in his team debut.
Insight: He was 10-of-18 , including two 3-pointers, for 26 points. Young also chipped in four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. It looks like he is picking up where he left off in Philadelphia, last season.
Kevin Martin, G10/29/2014 7:07:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (ankle) will not play on Wednesday.
Insight: He was injured yesterday, but is not expected to be out long. Consider him day-to-day.
J.J. Barea, G10/27/2014 4:37:00 PM
Description: Guard J.J. Barea was signed by the Dallas Mavericks after being released by Minnesota
Insight: Barea returns to the team he played for from 2006-10. He'll be in a crowded backcourt with Jameer Nelson, Raymond Floyd and Devin Harris and likely has no fantasy value.
Andrew Wiggins, G10/27/2014 3:22:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins practiced yesterday and should be ready for the season opener.
Insight: Wiggins was dealing with a sore back. Like most rookies, the first season will be filled with ups and downs and fantasy owners who pick him in non-dynasty leagues should be aware of the inconsistent nature of the selection.
Kevin Love, F10/22/2014 6:31:00 PM
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love is still a fantasy stud this season.
Insight: It can be argued that Love is no longer a top-five pick, but his ability to grab rebounds, score and shoot a high percentage makes him the top center in fantasy. He will take fewer shots this season with a better team, but his field goal percentage should go up. Some experts have speculated his rebound numbers could go down with LeBron James, but we doubt that. Cleveland traded for Love to have a dominanting presence on the boards to help King James.
Anthony Bennett, F10/21/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett came off the bench to score 20 points on Friday versus the Spurs.
Insight: Bennett shot 9-for-14 from the field. He didn't do much else, though, with three rebounds, three steals and one assist.
J.J. Barea, G10/18/2014 11:21:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea is not a recommended fantasy option for the upcoming season.
Insight: He is buried on the depth chart behind Ricky Rubio and Mo Williams, and as a result should be left off owners' rosters during draft day.
Anthony Bennett, F10/18/2014 11:18:00 AM
Description: Minnesota forward Anthony Bennett came off the bench to score 20 points on Friday versus the Spurs.
Insight: Bennett shot 9-for-14 from the field. He didn't do much else, though, with three rebounds, three steals and one assist.
Andrew Wiggins, G10/18/2014 11:15:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins looks like he will begin the season coming off the bench.
Insight: With Kevin Martin locked in as the starting shooting guard, Wiggins may need to prove he can play the small forward position as well, for owners to trust him on their fantasy teams. He is currently projected to go in the ninth round, but there are questions to how much playing rtime he is going to receive. We still love this kid's potential, but drafting him in the ninth round may be a little too rich for our taste.
Mo Williams, PG10/18/2014 11:11:00 AM
Description: Minnesota guard Mo Williams will open up the season as Ricky Rubio's backup.
Insight: He played 24.8 minutes per game last season in Portland, his lowest average since his rookie season. In that time Williams averaged 9.7 points per game, 4.3 assists per game, and made 1.1 three-pointers per game. With Williams competing for playing time with fellow backup J.J. Barea, owners should target him late in drafts, or even leave him undrafted.
Ricky Rubio, G10/18/2014 11:08:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio needs to take a step forward during his fourth NBA season.
Insight: He just has not broken out like many people have expected him to do. Rubio averaged 9.5 points per game, 8.6 assists per game, 2.3 steals per game, and shot .381 from the field last season. While his assist and steal numbers are good, Rubio has a career-average of 2.9 turnovers per game, and along with a poor field goal percentage, his current ADP in the late fourth round, is a little high for our liking.
Kevin Martin, G10/18/2014 11:04:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin continues to be an underrated player heading into the season.
Insight: He averaged 19.1 points per game, 1.0 steals per game, and made 1.7 three-pointers per game last season. Martin have a chance to increase those numbers this year, with no Kevin Love, and as a result owners should target him starting in the seventh round.
Corey Brewer, F10/18/2014 11:01:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves small forward Corey Brewer is penciled in as the starting small forward to begin the season.
Insight: He started 81 games for Minnesota last season and put up some solid numbers (12.3 PPG, 1.9 SPG, 48% FG). Brewer does not have anyone pushing him for his starting spot, so he should be able to at least duplicate those numbers. Target him towards the end of your drafts.
Nikola Pekovic, C10/18/2014 10:58:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic will look to stay healthy in 2014-15.
Insight: He played only 54 games last season, but was still productive (17.4 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 54% FG). With Kevin Love out of town, Pekovic will be one of the go-to guys for the Timberwolves, and will have a great chance to increase his numbers, all around.
Thaddeus Young, F10/18/2014 10:55:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young will look to be a big-time player during his first year in Minnesota.
Insight: Young had a very nice season in Philadelphia in 2013-14, and will have the opportunity to duplicate his some of his numbers (17.9 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 2.1 SPG) with the Timberwolves. He should be targeted starting in the late fourth round.
Mo Williams, PG10/11/2014 10:26:00 AM
Description: Guard Mo Williams had a great performance in a preseason game on Friday night.
Insight: Williams scored 19 points and had six rebounds, seven assists and three steals. He came off the bench in the game, but Flip Saunders has stated Williams could start in the backcourt with Ricky Rubio.
Thaddeus Young, F 8/23/2014 2:59:00 PM
Description: The Timberwolves have acquired Thaddeus Young as part of a three-team trade with Cleveland and Philadelphia.
Insight: Minnesota did a good job to get Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Young for Kevin Love, who made it known that he was leaving in free agency anyway. Young was an underrated fantasy option last season, averaging 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 threes, 2.1 steals (third in the NBA) and 0.5 blocks per game. He'll start for the 'Wolves and should be the top offensive option as the team tries to replace Love's 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.
Anthony Bennett, F8/23/2014 2:56:00 PM
Description: Anthony Bennett, the 2013 No. 1 overall pick, has been traded from the Cavaliers to the Timberwolves.
Insight: The initially rumored version of the three-team trade had Minnesota shipping Bennett to Philadelphia for Thaddeus Young, but the Timberwolves were able to snag Young for just Alexey Shved and Luc Mbah a Moute. Unfortunately, that means Bennett will be behind Young at power forward rather than starting for talent-starved Philadelphia. He should get his fair share of minutes but probably won't have much fantasy value.
Andrew Wiggins, G8/23/2014 2:52:00 PM
Description: The three-team trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers is complete and 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins is now a member of Minnesota.
Insight: Wiggins' fantasy value gets a nice boost from the trade, as he'll have to carry a much larger offensive burden than he would have had in Cleveland. Minnesota's starting lineup to begin the season will likely include Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin, Wiggins, Thaddeus Young and Nikola Pekovic.
Kevin Love, F8/22/2014 4:34:00 PM
Description: Cleveland.com reports the Cleveland Cavaliers will officially trade No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins and former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett in a three-team trade for Kevin Love. The Timberwolves will receive 76ers power forward Thaddeus Young as part of the trade as well. The deal will be finalized at midnight on Saturday after Wiggins officially signs his rookie contract.
Insight: Love's fantasy value takes a slight hit as it is unlikely he can maintain last year's 26.1 points per game average playing alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. But his potential on the offensive and defensive glass playing with the King is tremendous. Combine that with the fact Love had a career high in assists per game last year (4.4), he remains one of the best options at his position. Wiggins and Bennett look to be quality mid-round targets.
Mo Williams, PG7/28/2014 8:54:00 PM
Description: Guard Mo Williams has signed with the Timberwolves for one year and $3.75 million.
Insight: Williams was Portland's sixth man last season and averaged 24.8 minutes, 9.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 74 games. While the 'Wolves roster isn't a finished product at the moment -- Kevin Love and Kevin Martin are on the block -- any trade would bring back players that will start ahead of Williams so he'll be a bench player regardless.
Kevin Love, F6/25/2014 8:37:00 PM
Description: The Cavs are unlikely to trade for Wolves forward Kevin Love. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Cross another one off the list. Cleveland has plenty of assets (the No. 1 pick in tomorrow's draft, Anthony Bennett and Dion Waiters) but Love doesn't have any interest in playing there. Unless Love has a change of heart and decides he'd sign an extension with Cleveland, it's difficult to see this trade happening. Meanwhile ESPN's Chris Broussard said Wednesday there's a 50 percent chance Love gets traded on draft night. Boston, Denver and Golden State seem to have the best chance of landing the three-time All-Star.
Kevin Love, F6/21/2014 6:46:00 PM
Description: The Warriors appear to be pulling out of the Kevin Love sweepstakes. SOURCE: Marc Stein, ESPN
Insight: Golden State is hesitant to include Klay Thompson in a trade and that's a deal breaker for Minnesota. The Nuggets and Celtics remain in the running though it's possible the T-Wolves could wait until the trade deadline to swap Love.
Kevin Love, F6/18/2014 11:52:00 AM
Description: There's a growing sense that Boston will land Kevin Love in a draft day deal with Minnesota.
Insight: According to ESPN's Chad Ford, the C's are prepared to offer Minnesota two first-round picks this year, a collection of future No. 1s and the Wolves' choice of either Jared Sullinger or Kelly Olynyk. Ford believes it's the best offer the T-Wolves are going to get. Draft night is a week from Thursday. Stay tuned.
Kevin Love, F5/31/2014 4:33:00 PM
Description: Kevin Love is touring Boston this weekend to "check out the city and see what it's like." SOURCE: ESPN Boston
Insight: Love has been linked to the Celtics in trade rumors for quite a while and the interest seems to be mutual. Other teams interested in Love include Chicago, Golden State, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Sacramento.
Kevin Love, F5/18/2014 9:33:00 PM
Description: According to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, Boston could trade its first-round pick as part of a deal for Kevin Love.
Insight: It's an interesting idea but if Love really wants to play for a contender Boston probably isn't the right place for him. The Bulls, Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Rockets, Suns and Warriors are all said to be interested in Love (26.1 ppg, 12.5 rpg in 2013-14) if Minnesota makes him available in a trade this summer.
Kevin Love, F5/18/2014 3:14:00 PM
Description: T-Wolves forward Kevin Love has requested a trade. SOURCE: Brett Pollakoff, NBC Sports
Insight: If he doesn't get it, Love is prepared to sign elsewhere when he becomes a free agent in 2015. None of this is surprising. Love has spent six seasons in Minnesota and has yet to appear in a playoff game. Trading Love is the best option for Minnesota as well, especially given the very real threat of him leaving as a free agent. Love has shown interest in playing for a number of different teams including the Bulls, Knicks, Lakers, Rockets and Warriors. The Wolves can work on a deal over the summer or they can wait until next year's trade deadline.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/13/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is doubtful to return this season, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.
Insight: Rookie Gorgui Dieng should be owned in all leagues after he averaged 11.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 steals in his last 15 games.
Kevin Martin, G4/13/2014 8:51:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (foot) will return to the lineup Sunday, according ot Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.

Description: Timberwolves PF Kevin Love (elbow) was listed as probable for Friday's game but he won't play. SOURCE: Jerry Zgoda, Star Tribune
Insight: Love hyperextended his right elbow Wednesday but was able to play through it. He has been dealing with back spasms as well and the Wolves have nothing to play for.
Kevin Martin, G4/11/2014 7:17:00 PM
Description: T-Wolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (foot) is officially out Friday, according to Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.
Insight: He's dealing with a sharp pain in his right heel and will sit out for the fifth straight time. Chase Budinger is also out so J.J. Barea should see a good amount of minutes at shooting guard as a backup to Robbie Hummel.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/11/2014 7:15:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play Friday, according to Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.
Insight: It's looking more and more like the season is over for Pekovic. Rookie Gorgui Dieng has averaged 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in April and 11.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last 14 games.
J.J. Barea, G4/11/2014 7:14:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea (back spasms) will play Friday, according to Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Insight: Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger are out, so the minutes are there for Barea to play if he can get in the lineup.
Kevin Martin, G4/11/2014 1:46:00 PM
Description: T-Wolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (foot) is doubtful for Friday's game against Houston.
Insight: He's dealing with a sharp pain in his right heel and will likely sit out for the fifth straight time. Robbie Hummel should move into the starting lineup, but has yet to prove fantasy worthy.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/11/2014 1:40:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against Houston
Insight: It's looking more and more like the season is over for Pekovic. Rookie Gorgui Dieng has averaged 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds in April.
Kevin Love, F4/9/2014 10:48:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves PF Kevin Love suffered a hyperextended elbow during Wednesday's game but played through the injury. SOURCE: Jerry Zgoda, Star Tribune
Insight: Love has been dealing with back spasms and now he has another issue to worry about with just a few games remaining in what has been a frustrating season for the Wolves.
J.J. Barea, G4/9/2014 7:06:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea (back spasms) will miss Wednesday's game, according to Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.
Insight: With Kevin Martin, Chase Budinger and Barea all sidelined, the onus will be on Ricky Rubio and Alexey Shved to produce in the backcourt. Rubio has averaged 17 ppg over his last four games.
Kevin Martin, G4/9/2014 7:04:00 PM
Description: T-Wolves shooting guard Kevin Martin (foot) will miss Wednesday's game.
Insight: He's dealing with a sharp pain in his right heel and will sit out for the fourth straight time.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/9/2014 7:03:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) won't be available Wednesday.
Insight: This will be Pekovic's fifth straight absence and his 24th since Jan. 29 due to a right ankle injury. Rookie Gorgui Dieng has averaged 12 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals over his last 13 games and should be added in all leagues.
Gorgui Dieng, C4/9/2014 9:42:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Gorgui Dieng is quietly becoming a fantasy super-hero. Tuesday was his fourth 15-rebound game in his last 11 appearances.
Insight: Certainly none of this would be possible if Nikola Pekovic were healthy. But because he's not, the opportunistic Dieng (12 points, 15 rebounds on Tuesday) is quickly approaching must-start status. Give him a look Wednesday against Chicago.
Ricky Rubio, GHot4/8/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio had 23 points, seven assists and one steal Tuesday against the Spurs.

Description: Minnesota power forward Dante Cunningham is active for Tuesday's matchup with San Antonio. Cunningham was released from jail Monday night.
Insight: According to Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Cunningham will not be charged with making terrorist threats against his ex-girlfriend. The Villanova alum has been arrested twice in the last week though he's only had to miss one game. He's scarcely owned in fantasy leagues.
Kevin Love, F4/8/2014 7:01:00 PM
Description: Kevin Love will start for the Timberwolves on Tuesday, according to Nate Sandell of 1500espn.com.
Insight: Love was a late scratch Saturday at Orlando due to back spasms. He has averaged 26 points and 12.6 rebounds per game this season and should be started in all fantasy leagues Tuesday.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/8/2014 2:48:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is expected to miss Tuesday's game against San Antonio
Insight: This will be Pekovic's four straight absence and his 23rd since Jan. 29 due to a right ankle injury. Rookie Gorgui Dieng has averaged 12.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in nine starts.

Insight: The Wolves started the game without Kevin Love, Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic and lost Chase Budinger to an ankle sprain just one minute into the game, so Rubio had to attempt 18 shots. He has scored double-digit points in three straight games for the first time since Feb. 5-8.

Description: Minnesota G/F Chase Budinger never returned to Saturday's game due to a right ankle sprain.

Nikola Pekovic, C4/5/2014 1:20:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against Orlando, but in reality its closer to out.
Insight: Ankle issues have limited Pekovic to just ten games since the All-Star break and at this point in the season, there's no reason for Pekovic to come back and risk getting hurt again.
Shabazz Muhammad, G4/5/2014 1:18:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves rookie Shabazz Muhammad injured a knee in Friday's game and is questionable for Saturday's game against Orlando.

Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic will take a seat Friday against the Heat. SOURCE: Jerry Zygoda, Minneapolis Star Tribune
Insight: Ankle issues have limited Pekovic to just ten games since the All-Star break. At this point in the season, there's no reason for Pekovic to come back and risk getting hurt again. Gorgui Dieng (3.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg) is the guy you want to own in fantasy.
Nikola Pekovic, C4/4/2014 11:59:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic (sore right ankle) did not play Wednesday and is doubtful Friday's game against Miami.
Insight: Pekovic missed 13 games in February, six more in March and the first game in April for the same reason. Gorgui Dieng has averaged 12.7 ppg, 14.0 rpg as a starter and should be added in all leagues.
Dante Cunningham, F4/3/2014 1:43:00 PM
Description: Minnesota PF Dante Cunningham was arrested Thursday morning on on suspicion of domestic assault and will miss Friday's game, according to the Star Tribune.
