Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay had a team-high 33 points in the, 116-111, victory over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Insight: Gay was just 9-for-17 from the field with two 3-pointers, but he was also 13-of-15 at the line. Gay filled the stat sheet with seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal as well. This was Gay's first game back from a concussion, so if owners haven't already, Gay should go back in every starting lineup.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay will start on Tuesday against the Timberwolves according to CSN California.
Insight: Gay has missed the last three games with a concussion, but he passed the final concussion protocol test in order to start Tuesday. Without Carl Landry and DeMarcus Cousins, Gay could have a big night.
Description: Kings PF/C DeMarcus Cousins will not play in Tuesday's game against Minnesota.
Insight: Cousins is dealing with a sore foot and have a back-to-back set scheduled. He's posted 24 points and 20 or more rebounds in two of the last three games since missing a contest with Memphis. There are now a lot of shot opportunities available for the remainder of the team as Cousins averages over 18 shots per night.
Description: Kings PF/C DeMarcus Cousins recorded a triple-double with six blocks on Wednesday versus the Rockets.
Insight: Cousins and the Kings nearly spoiled James Harden's career-high 51 points, but the Rockets did win, 115-111. Cousins finished with 24 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists, six blocks and three steals. He must continue to be in lineups as long as he is playing.
Description: Kings PF/C DeMarcus Cousins will play on Wednesday versus the Rockets according to ESPN.
Insight: This is a bit surprising because coach George Karl talked about resting Cousins for road games the rest of the way. No matter, though, because Cousins has to be in lineups as long as he is playing.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay led the team with 24 points during Monday's loss to the Grizzlies, but suffered a concussion and will miss 4-5 days, according to coach George Karl.
Insight: Gay could be joined on the sidelined by Demarcus Cousins as the coach originally said he would get one or two games off and sat out Monday's contest. The Kings will likely be extremely short-handed on Wednesday.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay led the team with 24 points during Monday's loss to the Grizzlies.
Insight: With DeMarcus Cousins getting the night off, Gay went 10-of-18 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line to shoulder the load. He also had four rebounds, two assists, two 3-pointers, one steal, one block, and one turnover.
Description: Kings PF/C DeMarcus Cousins will not play Monday night against Memphis.
Insight: Cousins has been a fantasy stud all season (24.1 ppg, 12.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.5 apg, 1.7 bpg) and this is a disaster for fantasy owners. It isn't a specific injury, just rest, and could happen more times over the finals weeks of the season.
Description: Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins had a huge game during Friday's loss to the Pelicans.
Insight: He had 39 points, 19 boards, two assists, one steal, three blocks, and two turnovers, while shooting 16-of-28 from the field and 7-of-12 from the line. Cousins desperately needs some help around him.

Insight: Cousins was just 8-for-27 from the field, but he did hit 17-of-19 at the foul line. He also had four blocks, four steals and three assists. Cousins is going to continue to see more DNP down the stretch, but he must be in the lineup when he plays.

Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has moved back to being a game-time decision according to Fox Sports 1.
Insight: We wrote a note about 15 minutes ago saying he was playing, but now Fox Sports 1 is reporting Cousins as a game-time decision again. Whether this is Cousins and the Kings changing their minds or a false report, this is quite confusing. Stay tuned for one further update.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is out on Wednesday versus the Clippers according to NBA.com.
Insight: That's really too bad because Cousins is averaging 29.7 ppg in the last three games. Cousins has played in most of the games this season, but it should surprise if he rests a lot down the stretch since the Kings are out of the playoffs.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had an absurd game during Friday's loss against the 76ers.
Insight: We are not sure what was more impressive - the fact Cousins pulled down a career-high 24 rebounds and scored a season-high 39 points, or that he went 15-of-20 from the line and 12-of-24 from the field. Nevertheless, it was a dominant performance.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay, who put up 26 points Wednesday against Charoltte, wasn't at Thursday's practice, according to beat writer Jason Jones.
Insight: Gay, who has been dealing with a sore Achilles, was likely just getting extra time off, like center DeMarcus Cousins, but check back before tipoff on Friday to verify he's in the lineup as a lot of teams rest starters against the Sixers.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins did not practice with the team on Thursday.
Insight: He's had a sore ankle, so this may just be the team giving him extra time off, but the Kings play the Sixers on Friday and a lot of teams have been resting starters and still winning against Philadelphia. Check back close to tipoff on Friday to make sure he's in the lineup.
Description: Sacramento guard Ben McLemore scored a team-high 27 points during Wednesday's win over the Hornets.
Insight: He played very well, going 10-of-16 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 3-of-4 from downtown. McLemore also had two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one turnover. He can still be left on the wire. Rudy Gay pitched in 26 points as well.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay continued his hot streak as he shot 10-of-15 from the field on Monday and finished with 23 points versus the Hawks.
Insight: Gay was also 3-for-4 from the 3-point line with four rebounds, an assist and a block. Only Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, James Harden and Stephen Curry have scored more than Gay since the All-Star break. Gay is averaging 23.5 ppg since the break.

Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will not play on Sunday versus the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Cousins will miss his second straight game. Carl Landry will probably start again with Reggie Evans seeing an increase in minutes as well, but Rudy Gay will see the biggest fantasy boost without Cousins.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins missed practice on Saturday due to his ankle injury, and he is questionable at best for Sunday's game versus the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Cousins played through his ankle injury on Wednesday and suffered a setback, so it is unlikely he will try that again. Jason Thompson registered a double-double and Ben McLemore scored 21 points without Cousins on Friday, so if Cousins doesn't play Sunday, those two players are fantasy owners' best options.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins missed Thursday's practice due to an ankle issue and has been downgraded to out for Friday's game against San Antonio.
Insight: Cousins is a top-five fantasy asset and any loss of production from the center is a disaster. He's averaging 23.7 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.7 bpg. Carl Landry and Reggie Evans should see plenty of court time though none can match Cousins' fantasy value.
Description: Andre Miller is headed to Sacramento in exchange for Ramon Sessions.
Insight: It's a trade of backup point guards. Neither has fantasy value when their starters are healthy. Currently, Darren Collison is dealing with a hip injury so Miller might is more time right off the bat.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay is expected to play more power forward under new coach George Karl according to the Sacramento Bee.
Insight: This should help Gay get to the foul line more often. Gay will be playing next to DeMarcus Cousins in the front court. Ben McLemore, Omri Casspi and perhaps Nik Stauskas will all see more playing time at small forward.

Insight: In his final game before All-Star Weekend, Cousins went 9-of-20 from the floor and 10-of-12 from the line for 28 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and six turnovers. He is a borderline top-15 player.

Insight: He went 10-of-18 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line for 24 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, and three turnovers. Gay is a top-40 option in standard leagues.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay will play on Tuesday versus the Bulls.
Insight: This is great news. Sacramento would not rush Gay back right before the All-Star break if he wasn't 100 percent. Owners can start Gay as they normally would. Omri Casspi will return to the bench.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay will not play on Sunday due to a sore left foot according to Kings reporter James Ham.
Insight: Gay hurt his foot on Saturday and played through the injury with little success, going 1-for-8 from the field. Gay should be listed as questionable for Tuesday and Wednesday with the possibility that the Kings just hold him out through the All-Star break.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is listed as probable for Saturday's game versus the Pacers according to NBA.com.
Insight: Cousins played through a left ankle sprain on Friday, but it wouldn't be surprising if he is somewhat limited in the second game of a back-to-back set. Cousins, though, is a must-start if he plays.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay scored 22 points versus the Raptors on Wednesday.
Insight: Gay was 8-of-17 from the field and hit two 3-pointers. He also had three assists and three rebounds. Gay is a decent fantasy option as he is averaging over 20 ppg and nearly 6.0 rpg and 4.0 apg.

Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) will not play on Saturday.
Insight: He was questionable coming in, but will not be able to suit up. Jason Thompson, Ryan Hollins, and Reggie Evans will see extended time, but will have a tough matchup against Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is questionable for Saturday's game due to a right ankle injury.
Insight: Cousins played Friday, but he was obviously not 100 percent. Playing versus Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan on Saturday will probably motivate Cousins to suit up, but he won't be 100 percent again.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Clippers.
Insight: The Kings called up Quincy Miller for this game, so that probably means Gay has little chance to play. He missed Friday's game with a left knee capsule injury, and there is a chance he misses even more games besides Saturday.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins recorded a double-double on Friday versus the Heat.
Insight: Cousins led the Kings with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Cousins was awful from the field, 4-for-12, but made up for it going 9-for-9 at the line. He also had five assists although he did turn it over eight times.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins was a monster during Tuesday's overtime loss versus Dallas.
Insight: He had 32 points, 16 boards, nine assists, two steals, one block, but also nine turnovers. Cousins fouled out at the end of regulation and was not available for overtime, hampering what could have been an even bigger line.
Description: Heat center Hassan Whiteside played 29 minutes off the bench and scored 23 points on Sunday.
Insight: Whiteside was a mismatch for the Clippers defense and he took advantage with a season-high 23 points and 16 rebounds. By no means should fantasy owners jump to the waiver wire to pick Whiteside up, but we will keep an eye on him.
Description: Kings guard Ramon Sessions will miss Sunday's game against Detroit due to a bad back.
Insight: There is no timetable for his return. Sessions has no fantasy value as long as Darren Collison is healthy. He's averaging just 6.1 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.5 apg this season. Ray McCallum is Collison's backup.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins recorded his third straight double-double on Wednesday, but it was hardly a great game for the Sacramento center.
Insight: Cousins scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds but shot only 29.4 percent from the field. It was Cousins worst shooting game since opening night. Oh, and the referees also ejected him for two technical fouls.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had a very efficient fantasy night on Monday.
Insight: Cousins scored 24 points, one shy of the team lead, and had 13 rebounds. Cousins was 9-of-12 from the field and 6-for-9 at the free-throw line. Rudy Gay scored 25 points, but shot 9-of-21 from the field. Cousins also had four assists, two blocks and a steal.

Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins played Thursday and played well.
Insight: If Cousins was limited in minutes, we didn't see it. He played 32:49 minutes in all, including all of the fourth quarter and did his usual damage with 27 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. He's a fantasy stud and a must start.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will start with a minutes limit on Thursday.
Insight: Cousins has been out since Novemeber, so this is great news. He likely needs a little bit more time to get back into game shape, which is why he will be held to limited minutes. Even if he only plays 20 minutes, Cousins is a must-start in fantasy.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay scored a team-high 20 points in the loss to the Pistons on Saturday.
Insight: Gay only went 6-of-22 from the field overall but was helped by a 4-for-7 night from the 3-point line. Gay also chipped in eight rebounds and eight assists so combine that with the 20 points and 3-pointers, fantasy owners will gladly take it.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins (illness) is still not ready to return to the lineup.
Insight: Cousins (23.5 ppg, 12.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.5 bpg) is dealing with a viral infection. There is no timetable for his return which could end up going through the end of December. It's a disaster for his fantasy owners.
Description: Kings guard Darren Collison led his team with 26 points and six assists in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers.
Insight: Collison made 11-of-18 shots, including 2-of-3 from the 3-point line. Unfortunately, he curiously made just 25 percent from the free-throw line. Collison is not a great free-throw shooter, but he still shoots 76.5 percent from the line, over 50 percent higher than he shot Tuesday.
Description: Kings guard Darren Collison scored a team-high 22 points during Saturday's loss to the Magic.
Insight: He was 6-of-14 from the field, 7-of-9 from the line, and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Collison also had four assists, three rebounds, and two turnovers. He has played well during his first season in Sacramento, and is currently a borderline top-50 player.

Insight: Gay shot 50 percent from the field, hitting his one 3-point attempt and all six of his free throws. Gay also had five assists and five rebounds. He is a decent small forward option with 21.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 4.4 apg this season.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has missed two games due to illness and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Toronto.
Insight: The flu is going through the Kings locker room, and Cousins (23.5 ppg, 12.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 spg) is the latest victim. Sacramento used Ryan Hollins Friday and he came through with 15 points and six rebounds, but then disappeared in 17 minutes on Sunday. Neither Carl Landry of jason Thompson did anything in Cousins' absence either.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay is probable for Friday's game verus the Spurs. UPDATE: Gay is starting.

Insight: Head coach Mike Malone is optimistic that Collison will play, but team beat reporter Jason Jones does not expect an official update until about 45 minutes before the tip. Check back to see if anything changes.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will not play against the Spurs on Friday.
Insight: The flu is going through the Kings locker room, and Cousins is the latest victim. Sacramento doesn't really have a center to replace Cousins, so it will be a team effort. Jason Thompson should get most of the minutes, but with many others in the mix, no one if fantasy relevant on Friday.
Description: Kings guard Darren Collison is questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs due to a bruised left quad.
Insight: Collison has missed the last two games but before that had posted double-digit points in five consecutive games and is averaging 15.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 7.0 apg, 1.6 spg). He's been a great bargain this season.

Insight: He was 11-of-15 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line for 31 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, one steal, and three turnovers. If Cousins can keep his head on straight, he will continue to produce for owners all season long.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay was questionable for Thursday's game against Chicago due right Achilles tendinitis, but played well.
Insight: Gay went 7-of-11 from the field for 20 points along with seven rebounds and three assists. We did see him with a heating pad on the foot in the second half, so he'll still have to be watched for upcoming games to make sure he's ready to go.
Description: Kings small forward Rudy Gay scored a team-high 26 points against the Mavericks.
Insight: Unfortunately for the Kings, a ferocious Dallas comeback, in which the Mavericks outscored the Kings, 30-15, in the third quarter, spoiled Gay's great night. Gay had eight rebounds and eight assists but also had seven turnovers.
Description: Kings guard Ramon Sessions will start on Tuesday in place of the injured Darren Collison.
Insight: Collison has a stiff shoulder, so Sessions gets the spot start. For daily leagues, Sessions is a decent plug-in, but for weekly or roto leagues, it probably isn't worth grabbing Sessions for one game.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins scored 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Sacramento over Phoenix, 114-112, in double overtime.

Cousins is averaging 24.2 ppg, 11.8 rpg and 1.3 bpg through six games. The Kings are off to a surprisingly fast start at 5-1.
Description: Kings guard Ramon Sessions should not be forgotten about heading into this season.
Insight: He has career averages of 11.7 points per game and 4.7 assists per game, and after averaging 15.8 points per game two seasons ago, Sessions easily holds value. He will most likely go undrafted, but owners should monitor his playing time early in the season.
Description: Kings guard Darren Collison has a chance to be a steal in fantasy drafts.
Insight: With Isaiah Thomas gone, Collison will be starting at point guard, and will have a great chance to improve on his 11.4 points per game, 3.7 assists per game, and 1,2 steals per game, averages from last season. Owners should think about drafting Collison beginning in the 10th round.
Description: Sacramento guard Ben McLemore is nothing more than a late-round pick heading into the season.
Insight: He averaged only 8.8 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 1.0 assists per game, and shot 38 percent from the field. McLemore may raise those numbers slightly, but with rookie Nik Stauskas behind him on the depth chart, the numbers for both players will most likely be inconsistent.

Insight: In 55 games with Sacramento, Gay averaged 20.1 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 3.1 assists per game, 1.2 steals game, while shooting 48 percent from the field. Insight: The Kings will reportedly agree to a sign-and-trade for a $7 million trade exception and Alex Oriakhi. Sacramento didn't want to commit to the 5-foot-9 Thomas even though he averaged 20.3 ppg and 6.3 apg last season. The Suns are still expected to keep RFA Eric Bledsoe, so Thomas will become a third guard in 2014-15.
Description: Darren Collison has agreed to a three-year, $16 million contract with the Sacramento Kings, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.
Insight: Collison averaged 25.9 minutes, 11.4 points, 3.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals with the Clippers last season, though he was much better in 35 starts (14.8 ppg, 5.3 apg, 2.5 rpg, 1.5 spg). Collison said he hopes to compete for a starting job and he may just do that if the Kings choose to let restricted free agent Isaiah Thomas walk. The Kings will be the fifth team the 26-year-old Collison has played for in six seasons in the NBA.
