Phoenix Suns Player Notes
For The Last 365 Days

T.J. Warren, F10/11/2014 10:30:00 AM
Description: Suns forward T.J. Warren looked fantastic on Friday, scoring 10 points and grabbing six rebounds, against the Nuggets.
Insight: Warren shot 4-for-8 from the field and made two from behind the arc. With P.J. Tucker suspended, Warren will be in the Suns rotation to start the year. He probably isn't worth drafting, but keep an eye on this 21-year-old.
Eric Bledsoe, G8/21/2014 12:25:00 PM
Description: According to Jude LaCava of FOX Phoenix, the Suns are attempting to trade restricted free agent eric Bledsoe.
Insight: Bledsoe wants a five-year max contract, but the biggest contract the Suns have offered him is four years and $48 million. Injures limited Bledsoe to 43 games last season, but in those games, he averaged 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.6 steals. If John Wall can get a max deal it's not crazy to think Bledsoe (17.7 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.7 rpg) will get one also. As a restricted free agent, the Suns can match any offer Bledsoe receives on the open market. There's been some speculation that Phoenix could deal Bledsoe or point guard Goran Dragic to Minnesota as part of a trade for Kevin Love.
Isaiah Thomas, G8/15/2014 3:50:00 PM
Description: Suns PG Isaiah Thomas, who agreed to a four-year, $27 million deal, had arthroscopic surgery on his left wrist on Thursday.
Insight: The 5-foot-9 Thomas averaged 20.3 ppg and 6.3 apg last season for Saqcramento. The team says he is expected to be ready for training camp.
P.J. Tucker, F8/12/2014 4:05:00 PM
Description: Suns swingman P.J. Tucker will spend the first three games of the 2014-15 season on the bench after being suspended by the NBA for a DUI according to nba.com.
Insight: Tucker blew a .222 blood alcohol level when the legal limit in Arizona is .08. The small forward averaged 9.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.7 apg last season
Dionte Christmas, G7/24/2014 8:24:00 PM
Description: There will be no Christmas in Phoenix this season, the team waived guard Dionte Christmas Thursday.
Insight: The Suns are loaded in the backcourt with Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas, Tyler Ennis, Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green. Christmass averaged just six minutes per game over 31 contests scoring 2.3 ppg.
Eric Bledsoe, G6/8/2014 4:08:00 PM
Description: Impending free agent Eric Bledsoe is expected to get a max deal this summer. SOURCE: Marc Spears, Yahoo Sports
Insight: If John Wall can get a max deal it's not crazy to think Bledsoe (17.7 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.7 rpg) will get one also. As a restricted free agent, the Suns can match any offer Bledsoe receives on the open market. There's been some speculation that Phoenix could deal Bledsoe or point guard Goran Dragic to Minnesota as part of a trade for Kevin Love.
Goran Dragic, G4/23/2014 12:28:00 PM
Description: Congratulations to Suns guard Goran Dragic, who was just named the NBA's Most Improved Player for 2013-14.
Insight: Lance Stephenson (second) and Anthony Davis (third) would have been fine choices also but Dragic was probably the most deserving of the three. He took a Phoenix squad that was supposed to be one of league's worst and almost made it a playoff team (finished one game behind Dallas for eighth in the Western Conference). Dragic (20.3 ppg, 5.9 apg) will be on everyone's radar next season.
Goran Dragic, G4/15/2014 6:19:00 PM
Description: Now that Phoenix has been eliminated, the Suns will rest ailing point guard Goran Dragic Wednesday in the regular season finale. SOURCE: Matt Petersen, Suns.com
Insight: He's been playing through a painful ankle injury. Eric Bledsoe (18.0 ppg, 5.5 apg) will start at point guard with Gerald Green (15.8 ppg) occupying the two-guard spot.
Goran Dragic, G4/14/2014 5:13:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) will play through his injury "no matter how it feels at this point," coach Jeff Hornacek said. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Dragic played through his sprained ankle Saturday and will do so again Monday against the Grizzlies in what is a huge game for both teams.
Goran Dragic, G4/12/2014 7:38:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic will start Saturday against Dallas. He had been questionable with an ankle injury. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Phoenix's season is on the line and the Suns need their best player, healthy or not. Dragic netted 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting the last time these teams met.
Goran Dragic, G4/12/2014 11:36:00 AM
Description: Suns guard Goran Dragic (sprained left ankle) did not play Friday and is questionable for Saturday's game against Dallas.
Insight: The Suns, Mavericks and Grizzlies are tied for the seventh and eighth spots in the Western Conference, so not having Dragic would be a huge blow. Gerald Green has 27 points on Friday and is a viable option if Dragic can't go Saturday.
Gerald Green, G/FHot4/11/2014 10:56:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Gerald Green started with Goran Dragic (ankle) out and had 27 points against the Spurs Friday night.
Insight: Green has averaged 26 points and 4.3 threes per game over his last four games.
Eric Bledsoe, GHot4/11/2014 10:53:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe's 30 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists were not enough for Phoenix to defeat the Spurs Friday night.
Insight: Goran Dragic was out of the lineup so Bledsoe saw more offensive chances. Bledsoe, Gerald Green and Markieff Morris combined for 77 points and the rest of the Suns had 27. Bledsoe has averaged 20.1 points, 5.6 boards, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals his last 11 games.
Goran Dragic, G4/11/2014 7:22:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Goran Dragic (sprained ankle) will not play Friday, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: The Suns and Mavericks are just one game ahead of the Grizzlies for the seventh and eighth spots in the Western Conference, so not having Dragic against the Spurs on Friday will hurt. Gerald Green has been playing well and will start; he should be in all fantay lineups.
Goran Dragic, G4/11/2014 5:33:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Goran Dragic (sprained ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game, according to the Arizona Republic.
Insight: The Suns and Mavericks are just one game ahead of the Grizzlies for the seventh and eighth spots in the Western Conference, so not having Dragic against the Spurs on Friday will hurt. Gerald Green has been playing well and likely will start if Dragic can't play.
P.J. Tucker, F4/9/2014 10:34:00 PM
Description: Suns swingman P.J. Tucker had 15 points, nine rebounds and one steal in 33 minutes Wednesday at New Orleans.
Insight: Tucker has been one of the top rebounders among shooting-guard eligible players this season and averaged 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.1 threes over his last 18 games.
Gerald Green, G/FHot4/9/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Gerald Green has averaged 22.8 points over his last five games.
Insight: Green has been fine since Eric Bledsoe returned and sent him back to the bench. In 13 games since that happened, Green has generated 18.1 points and 3.0 threes per game. He had 21 points, two rebounds and four threes Wednesday.
Goran Dragic, G3/29/2014 9:31:00 AM
Description: Suns guard Goran Dragic had everything working Friday in a win against New York.
Insight: Dragic left the game briefly to get five stitches over his left eye, but he came back to score 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting. He was 5-of-9 from three-point range. His 20.6 ppg scoring average is the highest by a Phoenix player since Amare Stoudemire led the team with 23.1 ppg back in 2010.
Goran Dragic, G3/26/2014 10:14:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic put up 25 points in Wednesday's win over Washington.
Insight: The seven rebounds and six assists were just icing on the cake. Dragic has averaged 20.0 ppg on 56.9 percent shooting during the Suns' five-game winning streak.
Markieff Morris, F3/23/2014 7:42:00 PM
Description: Suns power forward Markieff Morris went off for 25 points, eight rebounds and two blocks Sunday in a win against Minnesota.
Insight: Morris, a 31.6 percent three-point shooter for the season, shot 3-of-3 from that distance on Sunday. The ten field goals Morris made were his most since December 6th.
Channing Frye, CCold3/17/2014 10:02:00 PM
Description: Suns power forward Channing Frye has scored in single figures in nine of his last 13 games.
Insight: He had seven points in 19 minutes on Monday and hasn't been doing enough to help fantasy owners in the past month.
Gerald Green, G/F3/17/2014 9:59:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Gerald Green had 17 points, three threes and two steals in 31 minutes Monday at Brooklyn.
Insight: Green has averaged 26.3 minutes, 16.3 points, 2.7 triples and 2.3 rebounds in three games since Eric Bledsoe took back the starting shooting guard job and sent Green to the bench.
Markieff Morris, FHot3/16/2014 4:20:00 PM
Description: Phoenix forward Markieff Morris exploded for 16 points and 14 rebounds Sunday in a win against Toronto.
Insight: That's Morris' highest rebounding total since January 26th versus Cleveland. His 16.1 ppg scoring average in March is his highest for any month this season. Look for him to stay hot Monday against Brooklyn.
Gerald Green, G/F3/16/2014 4:13:00 PM
Description: Gerald Green dropped 28 points on the Raptors Sunday in a 121-113 Suns victory.
Insight: Maybe Green and Eric Bledsoe (14 points) can coexist after all. Green sunk five of his eight three-pointers and was 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Phoenix has now won two straight.
Gerald Green, G/FCold3/14/2014 9:55:00 PM
Description: Suns shooting guard Gerald Green played just 21 minutes and made 2-of-9 from the field (0-5 3PT) for four points Friday.
Insight: This is what we were afraid would happen when Eric Bledsoe returned to the starting lineup. Green averaged 31.7 minutes, 18.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 threes and 1.2 steals in 33 games with Bledsoe out of the lineup, but there's only so many minutes to go around. It doesn't help that Green is mired in a 12-of-37 (.324) shooting slump his last three games while hitting 0-of-11 3-point attempts his last two.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/14/2014 5:12:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe will move back into the starting lineup Friday, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Phoenix brought Bledsoe off the bench in his return from knee surgery on Wednesday but still played him 32 minutes. He'll replace Gerald Green in the starting lineup. Green has averaged 31.8 minutes, 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 threes and 1.1 steals in 46 starts this season, compared to 22.8 minutes, 11.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 threes and 0.4 steals off the bench. However, after he excelled with Bledsoe out of the lineup, look for the Suns to still try to get Green close to 30 mpg.
Gerald Green, G/F3/14/2014 12:07:00 PM
Description: If you have been using Suns shooting guard Gerald Green during his hot March (23.3 ppg) be prepared for the possibility that just back from the injured list Eric Bledsoe will replace him in the starting five.
Insight: Phoenix is 3-7 over their last 10 games and coach Jeff Hornacek is looking to make some changes, according to an Arizona Republic report.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/13/2014 4:55:00 PM
Description: Suns coach Jeff Hornacek is contemplating whether or not to put Eric Bledsoe in the starting lineup Friday, according to Matt Petersen of suns.com.
Insight: Phoenix brought Bledsoe off the bench in his return from knee surgery on Wednesday but still played him 32 minutes. He had 15 points, nine assists, three rebounds and two steals and is a must start in all fantasy leagues even if he remains on the bench. We'll see how the Suns divide the playing time of Gerald Green, P.J. Tucker and Marcus Morris now that Bledsoe is back.
Marcus Morris, F3/12/2014 4:57:00 PM
Description: Marcus Morris will start in place of P.J. Tucker on Wednesday, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic. Tucker is suspended for hitting Blake Griffin on Monday.
Insight: If Eric Bledsoe wasn't making his return from an injury we probably would see a starting lineup that included Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and Gerald Green with Tucker out, but Bledsoe is being eased back into action after missing two and a half months with a torn meniscus.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/12/2014 2:56:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe (torn meniscus) will come off the bench Wednesday versus Cleveland. SOURCE: Matt Peterson, Suns.com
Insight: This will be Bledsoe's first game in two and a half months. When healthy, he's a must-start.
P.J. Tucker, F3/11/2014 7:29:00 PM
Description: Suns swingman P.J. Tucker has indeed been suspended for Wednesday's game against Cleveland. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Tucker (9.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg) took a swing at Blake Griffin on Monday and the league has rules against that sort of thing. It's a huge break for Gerald Green (15.7 ppg), who was probably headed back to the bench with Eric Bledsoe (torn meniscus) set to return from a two-month absence.
P.J. Tucker, F3/11/2014 9:59:00 AM
Description: Phoenix G/F P.J. Tucker threw a punch at Blake Griffin Monday night and fantasy owners should prepare for his suspension.
Insight: Tucker doesn't score much but is one of the top rebounders at his position (6.6 rpg). This only helps Gerald Green, who is already averaging 22.0 ppg over his last six contests.
Alex Len, CCold3/11/2014 9:49:00 AM
Description: Suns rookie center Alex Len has returned to his backup role with Miles Plumlee back to health.
Insight: Like most rookies, Len's production is based on court time and he hasn't gotten much of that this season. He's safe to drop in all leagues.
Miles Plumlee, F/C3/11/2014 9:45:00 AM
Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee took two games to return to form after returning from a knee injury. On Monday he scored 12 points and hauled down nine rebounds with a pair of blocks in 26 minutes of action.
Insight: Plumlee (8.6 ppg, 8.2 rpg) had played just 10 minutes in his first game on Sunday. His Monday numbers are encouraging and he should be watched to see if he can consistently reach those totals.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/10/2014 9:41:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Eric Bledsoe won't be available Monday against the Clippers but he's still hoping to play Wednesday versus Cleveland. Bledsoe has been out since tearing his meniscus in late December. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Gerald Green has been a stud in Bledsoe's absence, averaging 18.7 ppg in 31 games since January 1st. We'll see how those two co-exist Wednesday when Bledsoe makes his long-awaited return.
Miles Plumlee, F/C3/10/2014 9:35:00 PM
Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee will draw the start Monday against Los Angeles.
Insight: Plumlee (8.5 ppg, 8.2 rpg) returned from a knee injury Sunday versus Golden State but he came off the bench and only played ten minutes. Rookie Alex Len averaged 5.0 ppg on 45.5 percent shooting during his three-game stint in the starting lineup.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/8/2014 4:36:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe (knee) said he likely will return to action Wednesday against the Cavaliers, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: He'll sit out at least two more games, adding to the 37 he's already missed due to a torn meniscus. Bledsoe averaged 33.5 minutes, 18 points and 5.8 assists before the injury and will reduce the fantasy value of both Goran Dragic and Gerald Green when he returns. However, all three players are still worth rostering in all leagues.
Miles Plumlee, F3/6/2014 4:49:00 PM
Description: Suns PF/C Miles Plumlee will not be available for Thursday's game against OKC. He's out with a sprained right knee. SOURCE: Craig Brialou, ArizonaSports.com
Insight: We assumed this would be the case. Alex Len will make his second start in a row at center. He only saw 19 minutes Tuesday against the Clippers (six points, six rebounds).
Miles Plumlee, F3/6/2014 9:42:00 AM
Description: Phoenix F/C Miles Plumlee (right knee sprain) has been downgraded to doubtful for Thursday's game after missing Wednesday's practice. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Plumlee (8.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg) has been battling a right knee sprain and missed Tuesday's game. With Plumlee out, rookie Alex Len made his first career start and split minutes with Shavlik Randolph. Neither did enough to be fantasy worthy. Markieff Morris also saw time at center.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/5/2014 10:43:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe will return from his knee injury sometime within the next week. SOURCE: Arizona Republic
Insight: He could be back as early as Sunday, though it's more likely Bledsoe (18.0 ppg, 5.8 apg, 4.3 rpg) will return Monday against the Clippers or Wednesday versus Cleveland. We haven't seen him play in a game since December 30th.
Miles Plumlee, F3/5/2014 3:49:00 PM
Description: Phoenix F/C Miles Plumlee (right knee sprain) is questionable for Thursday's game.
Markieff Morris also saw time at center.
Goran Dragic, G3/5/2014 3:48:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic has a left side strain and missed Wednesday's practice, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Dragic (20.4 ppg, 6.2 apg, 3.5 apg) is probable for Thursday's game against the Thunder.
Leandro Barbosa, G3/5/2014 10:12:00 AM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa (fractured hand) won't need surgery and will miss four-to-six weeks with his injury, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Barbosa is only averaging 18.4 minutes per game this season as a reserve guard. His injury won't matter in fantasy leagues.
P.J. Tucker, F3/5/2014 9:25:00 AM
Description: Phoenix G/F P.J. Tucker had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in 39 minutes Tuesday.
Insight: Tucker doesn't score much but is one of the top rebounders among shooting guards. He has averaged 10.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals his last 11 games. Tucker will probably see fewer minutes when Eric Bledsoe returns to the lineup, as the Suns will have to find time for Gerald Green and his 15.2 ppg.
Leandro Barbosa, G3/4/2014 11:06:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa fractured his left hand during Tuesday's game, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Barbosa is only averaging 18.4 minutes per game this season as a reserve guard. His injury will open up more minutes for Ish Smith and Archie Goodwin.
Miles Plumlee, F3/4/2014 8:26:00 PM
Description: Phoenix F/C Miles Plumlee will not be on the court Tuesday against the Clippers. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Plumlee has been battling a sore right knee. With Plumlee out, rookie Alex Len (2.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg) will make his first career start. Plumlee (8.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg) is day-to-day.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/4/2014 7:57:00 PM
Description: According to Phoenix coach, Jeff Hornacek, there's still no timetable for Eric Bledsoe's return from a torn meniscus. SOURCE: Matt Peterson, Suns.com
Insight: Despite Hornacek's vagueness, Bledsoe has been practicing with the team and could make his return Thursday against the Thunder. That's bad news for anyone who owns Gerald Green (15.1 ppg).
Miles Plumlee, F3/4/2014 6:24:00 PM
Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee (sore right knee) is expected to play Tuesday but probably won't play his usual minutes, according to the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Plumlee (8.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg) has been dealing with the injury for about a week, coach Jeff Hornacek said. He'll be rotated with Shavlik Randolph and Alex Len on Tuesday.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/4/2014 1:37:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Eric Bledsoe (torn meniscus) is feeling "spring-training type" soreness after his last practice session.
Insight: The 24-year-old Bledsoe averaged 18 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in 24 games before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus on Jan. 10. He'll practice again on Wednesday and could return as soon as Thursday against OKC as long as he doesn't have any setbacks.
Markieff Morris, FHot3/2/2014 10:38:00 PM
Description: Suns power forward Markieff Morris had 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two threes and one steal Sunday.
Insight: Morris has scored 20 or more points in four of his last six games and averaged 19.1 points and 5.0 rebounds his last seven.
Gerald Green, G/FHot3/2/2014 10:35:00 PM
Description: Suns shooting guard Gerald Green dropped 33 points on the Hawks Sunday night.
Insight: Green made 9-of-14 from the field, 5-of-8 from 3-point range and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line for his second 30-point game in the last two weeks. He has averaged 19.6 points and 3.4 threes over his last 16 games. Unfortunately, Eric Bledsoe's impending return from a torn meniscus will likely push Green back to the bench.
Eric Bledsoe, G3/2/2014 8:29:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Eric Bledsoe (torn meniscus) has progressed to five-on-five scrimmaging, according to the Arizona Republic.
Insight: The 24-year-old Bledsoe averaged 18 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in 24 games before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus on Jan. 10. He'll increase his activity in scrimmages in the coming days.
Goran Dragic, G2/28/2014 10:00:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) will start Friday against the Pelicans.
Insight: Dragic twisted his ankle Tuesday and while he stayed in the game after the injury, his condition worsened overnight and he had to miss Wednesday's game. Ish Smith will move back to the bench after a couple of decent games.
Ish Smith, G2/28/2014 1:49:00 PM
Description: Suns backup point guard Ish Smith could turn into a viable fantasy option if starter Goran Dragic can't go again.
Insight: Smith put up 13 points with eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in a rare start on Wednesday.
Goran Dragic, G2/28/2014 1:46:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) may be able to play Friday, but it will be a game-time decision, according to beat reporter Matt Petersen..
Insight: Dragic twisted his ankle Tuesday and while he stayed in the game after the injury, his condition worsened overnight and he had to miss Wednesday's game. As one of the last games on Friday's docket, that doesn't leave much wiggle room if he doesn't play.
Goran Dragic, G2/27/2014 4:12:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) may be able to play Friday, according to azcentral.com.
Insight: Dragic twisted his ankle Tuesday and while he stayed in the game after the injury, his condition worsened overnight and he had to miss Wednesday's game. "He wanted to try but it makes sense to keep him out," coach Jeff Hornacek said before Wednesday's game. "It's pretty sore and swollen so he'll stay out tonight and maybe we can get him back for Friday. He comes back pretty fast. Obviously, with a great training staff, Goran is a tough kid so he'll play. It probably won't be 100 percent but he'll still play."
Goran Dragic, G2/26/2014 7:46:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) is officially out Wednesday against the Jazz, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Dragic was able to stay in the game after twisting his ankle Tuesday, but his condition worsened overnight. The Suns will need to get huge minutes out of Ish Smith, as Leandro Barbosa (toe) will also miss the game.
Leandro Barbosa, G2/26/2014 6:01:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa (toe) will sit out Wednesday, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: He's dealing with a sprained big toe and will miss his third straight game. Barbosa's ownership across all fantasy formats is virtually nil. He has averaged 19.1 minutes, 7.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18 games and hasn't been a fantasy option for several seasons.
Goran Dragic, G2/26/2014 5:59:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic (ankle) is unlikely to play Wednesday, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Dragic was able to stay in the game after twisting his ankle Tuesday, but his condition worsened overnight. The Suns will need to get huge minutes out of Ish Smith if Dragic is out, as Leandro Barbosa (toe) will also miss the game.
Goran Dragic, G2/26/2014 9:48:00 AM
Description: Phoenix guard Goran Dragic twisted his ankle Tuesday in a loss to Minnesota.
Insight: Dragic (16 points in 25 minutes) stayed in the game until he picked up his sixth foul. Often times with ankle injuries, the swelling happens overnight. For that reason, fantasy owners should consider Dragic questionable for tonight's game in Utah.
Leandro Barbosa, G2/25/2014 9:05:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa (toe) has been ruled out Tuesday versus Minnesota, according to Alan Horton of timberwolves.com.
Insight: He's dealing with a sprained big toe and will miss his second straight game. Barbosa's ownership across all fantasy formats is virtually nil. He has averaged 19.1 minutes, 7.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18 games this season and hasn't been a fantasy option for several seasons.
Eric Bledsoe, G2/25/2014 4:52:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Eric Bledsoe (torn meniscus) felt no soreness in his knee after practicing Monday, according to Matt Petersen of suns.com.
Insight: Bledsoe practiced hard Monday and will continue to increase the intensity of his workouts barring a setback. The 24-year-old averaged 18 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in 24 games before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus nearly two months ago. His return will lessen the fantasy value of Goran Dragic, who has put up 22.4 ppg, 6.6 apg and 4.1 rpg since Bledsoe's injury compared to 18.4 ppg, 5.9 apg, 2.9 rpg with Bledsoe in the lineup.
Leandro Barbosa, G2/25/2014 4:44:00 PM
Description: Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek said guard Leandro Barbosa will probably miss Tuesday's game after sitting out of the shootaround, according to Craig Grialou of arizonasports.com.
Insight: He's dealing with a sprained big toe. Barbosa's ownership across all fantasy formats is virtually nil. He was last a fantasy option in 2008 with Phoenix.
Leandro Barbosa, G2/25/2014 11:38:00 AM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa is questionable for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.
Insight: He's dealing with a toe injury. Barbosa's ownership across all fantasy formats is virtually nil. He was last a fantasy option in 2008 with Phoenix.
Leandro Barbosa, G2/23/2014 7:39:00 PM
Description: Phoenix guard Leandro Barbosa won't be on the court Sunday against Houston. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: He's still out with a toe injury. Barbosa's ownership across all fantasy formats is virtually nil. We don't anticipate that changing any time soon.
Markieff Morris, F2/19/2014 9:18:00 AM
Description: Suns power forward Markieff Morris double-doubled with 13 points and 12 rebounds Tuesday at Denver. He added three steals, two assists and a block over 42 minutes.

Insight: Morris (11.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg) received two technical fouls in only nine minutes of action. It's his first career ejection. Markieff's twin brother Marcus should see more playing time in his absence.
Channing Frye, C1/11/2014 10:19:00 PM
Description: Suns power forward Channing Frye scored 20-plus points for the third time this month Saturday against the Pistons.
Insight: Frye hasn't been able to score 20 points in two consecutive games during that six-game span, however. He'll try to break the pattern Monday against the New York Knicks, the team that drafted him in 2005.

Markieff Morris, FHot11/9/2013 9:01:00 AM
Description: Suns power forward Markieff Morris has made 21-of-26 from the field and averaged 25.5 ppg and 11 rpg his last two games.

Description: Suns swingman Gerald Green hit six threes and had 18 points Tuesday against the Hornets.

Eric Bledsoe, GHot11/5/2013 10:39:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Eric Bledsoe chipped in with 25 points Tuesday in a win against New Orleans.
Insight: Bledsoe has been on a scoring tear since coming to Phoenix. He already has more 20-point games (three) than he had all of last season. Fantasy owners who took a flyer on him at the draft are hitting the jackpot right now.

Description: Suns center Miles Plumlee has doubled-doubled in each of the first two games.
Insight: Plumlee is averaging 15.5 rebounds, 14 rebounds and 3.0 blocks while playing 37.5 minutes per game. The team isn't ready to unleash rookie Alex Len yet and Emeka Okafor (neck) may not play this season, so Plumlee will continue to start and play big minutes. He should be added in all fantasy leagues.
Goran Dragic, G11/2/2013 9:46:00 AM
Description: Suns point guard Goran Dragic tried to return to Friday's game after suffering a right facial contusion on a collision with teammate P.J. Tucker but had some vision issues, according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.

Eric Bledsoe, PG11/1/2013 8:26:00 PM
Description: The Suns were unable to extend Eric Bledsoe's contract ahead of Thursday night's deadline. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports

Description: Newly acquired Suns center Emeka Okafor stands to miss up to three months with a herniated disk in his neck. SOURCE: Comcast Sportsnet Washington
Insight: Phoenix has no interest in winning games this season (they'll be joined by Charlotte and Philadelphia in the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes) so they're going to give Okafor as much time as he needs to recover. Even when healthy, the defensive-minded Okafor isn't a particularly appealing fantasy asset.

Markieff Morris, F10/26/2013 3:45:00 PM
Description: Suns power forward Markieff Morris will miss the season opener.
Insight: He's been suspended for one game without pay for elbowing Serge Ibaka in the face this past week. Morris will be the Suns starting power forward beginning in Game 2 of the season. He has standard league appeal as he'll contribute something positive in points, rebounds, blocks, steals and threes.
Alex Len, C10/26/2013 3:41:00 PM
Description: Suns rookie center Alex Len (ankle) could miss the start of the regular season, according to Paul Coro of azcentral.com.
Insight: Len had surgery on both ankles in July and might still be dealing with something. Miles Plumlee is expected to begin the season as the starting center, so Len isn't worth owning in standard leagues.
Miles Plumlee, F10/26/2013 2:50:00 PM
Description: Miles Plumlee will begin the season as the Suns' starting center following the trade of Marcin Gortat to Washington. Rookie Alex Len and Slava Kravtsov will back him up. SOURCE: Arizona Republic
Insight: "Miles Plumlee’s progress is a big reason we did this trade," Suns GM Ryan McDonough said. "Miles was a big part of the deal we did with Indiana. Our coaching staff has been very pleased with Miles. He’s improved ever since he left Duke and a lot in the short time he’s been with us." Len's minutes will likely increase as the season goes on, but Plumlee will get the first shot to start. Emeka Okafor, who was acquired in the trade with the Wizards, is out indefinitely with a herniated disk in his neck.
