Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple-double in the victory over the Timberwolves on Friday.
Insight: Carter-Williams had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He shot 6-of-13 from the field and 5-for-6 at the line. Without Tony Wroten in the lineup, Carter-Williams should continue to accumulate numbers.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/28/2015 9:25:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams recorded a double-double versus the Pistons on Wednesday.
Insight: Carter-Williams had 14 points and 10 assists. He nearly had a triple-double as he had nine rebounds. Carter-Williams shot 50 percent from the floor and hit 1-of-2 from the 3-point line.
Robert Covington, F1/28/2015 9:22:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington led the team with 19 points, hitting four 3-pointers on Wednesday.
Insight: Covington shot 7-of-11 from the field overall. He also had five rebounds, three assists and a steal. Covington shot 80 percent from the 3-point line.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/28/2015 5:39:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will start on Wednesday versus the Pistons.
Insight: Carter-Williams is felling sick, but he will play. His return sends Larry Drew II back to the bench. Carter-Williams should have plenty of opportunities with no Tony Wroten in the lineup.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/26/2015 12:55:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is ill and will not play in Monday's game against the Pelicans.
Insight: MCW is averaging 15.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 7.1 apg. Larry Drew II will make his first career start in his place. Don't expect those type numbers, but LDII has played well in his six games with the Sixers.
Larry Drew II, G1/26/2015 12:53:00 PM
Description: Sixers guard Larry Drew II signed another 10-day contract and will also make the first start of his career.
Insight: Drew is having a pretty good day. He'll replace the ill Michael Carter-Williams in the lineup. He's averaging 4.7 ppg in just under 19 mpg over six contests.
Jerami Grant, F1/24/2015 10:34:00 PM
Description: Rookie Jerami Grant came off the bench and led the 76ers in scoring on Saturday.
Insight: It was a bad offensive game for Philadelphia, so Grant had just 16 points. Still, the 76ers have been waiting for the rookie from Syracuse to break out. He was 5-of-10 with two 3-pointers from the field. Unfortunately, he did nothing else and shot just 50 percent from the line.
Nerlens Noel, C1/23/2015 9:33:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel recorded a double-double during Friday's loss to the Raptors.
Insight: He had 12 points, 14 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two turnovers. Noel is a borderline top-100 option.
Tony Wroten, G1/23/2015 5:20:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten has a partial tear of his right ACL.
Insight: There is no timetable for his return, but Wroten will need surgery, which will likely end his season. Larry Drew II will continue to backup Michael Carter-Williams.
Nerlens Noel, C1/23/2015 11:34:00 AM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel (illness) did not play on Wednesday, but is listed as probable for Friday versus Toronto.
Insight: Noel (8.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.6 spg, 1.6 bpg) is a low-end box score filler. The Sixers could be short-handed up front as center Henry Sims just showed up on the injury report (ankle). Furkan Aldemir should also see double-digit minutes.
Henry Sims, C1/23/2015 11:00:00 AM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims apparently suffered an ankle injury in the last game and should be considered questionable for Friday versus Toronto.
Insight: The Sixers are already very thin up front. Nerlens Noel missed the last game due to illness, but could be forced into a lot of minutes if Sims is absent.
Tony Wroten, G1/22/2015 1:53:00 PM
Description: 76ers coach Brett Brown said the team is concerned about the health of guard Tony Wroten according to Calkins Media.
Insight: Wroten flew to California to see a knee specialist, so this does not sound like good news. He hasn't been ruled out for Friday's game yet, but fantasy owners should prepare for the worse.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/21/2015 9:32:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams was dreadful from the floor (10-of-26), but did score a team-high 27 points during Tuesday's loss against the Knicks.
Insight: He filled the stat sheet with seven assists, six boards, five steals, three turnovers, and shot 7-of-8 from the line. Carter-Williams will get owners stats, but remains an inefficient option.
Nerlens Noel, C1/21/2015 5:33:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel (illness) will not play on Wednesday.
Insight: He will likely be good to go for Friday, but in the meantime, Furkan Aldemir will get his first career start.
Henry Sims, C1/19/2015 5:21:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims scored a team-high 13 points.
Insight: Ouch. Sims was 5-for-10 from the field with three rebounds, two assists and a block. Philadelphia lost to Washington by 36 points.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/17/2015 10:30:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored a team-high 15 points during Saturday's loss to the Pistons.
Insight: He went 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line. Carter-Williams also had six assists, one board, one 3-pointer, and four turnovers. He is an extremely inefficient player, as he is not even a top-200 option.
Robert Covington, F1/16/2015 10:17:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington made two 3-pointers on Friday.
Insight: Covington, however, had eight 3-point attempts, so he wasn't exactly lethal from deep. Still, owners will take the 18 points and six rebounds to go with two 3-pointers.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/16/2015 10:14:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams filled the stat sheet on Friday.
Insight: Carter-Williams led Philadelphia with 22 points and seven assists while also finishing tied for second on his team with six rebounds. Don't expect Williams to have very good shooting numbers, but he adds lots of points, assists, rebounds and steals.
Tony Wroten, G1/16/2015 5:50:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten will not play on Friday against the Pelicans due to a knee issue.
Insight: Wroten has a knee sprain and is going to miss quite a bit more time. Wroten has also been reported to be on the trade block, so owners cannot expect the 76ers to rush him back.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/14/2015 10:07:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led his team with 29 points in the loss to the Raptors.
Insight: Carter-Williams didn't shoot well from the 3-point line, going 1-for-6, but was 12-for-25 overall and 4-of-8 at the line. He also had seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Robert Covington, F1/14/2015 7:08:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington is a late scratch for Wednesday.
Insight: Unfortunately, this news probably comes too late to get Covington out of the lineup. Jerami Grant sees a slight increase in fantasy value.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/13/2015 9:21:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored a team-high 20 points during Tuesday's loss to the Hawks.
Insight: He went 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-3 from the line. Carter-Williams also had nine rebounds, four assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, one block, and five turnovers.
Robert Covington, F1/10/2015 10:18:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington made four 3-pointers on Saturday.
Insight: Covington scored 16 points to lead all starters. He didn't do much else, though, with just two rebounds.
Tony Wroten, G1/10/2015 10:14:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten had 20 points to lead Philadelphia in scoring on Saturday.
Insight: Wroten came off the bench and played 29 minutes against the Pacers. He only shot 6-of-17, but he made two 3-pointers and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. Wroten also had nine assists in a solid fantasy night.
Robert Covington, F1/9/2015 10:00:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington scored a team-high 20 points and six steals during Friday's win versus Brooklyn.
Insight: He played very well, going 8-of-12 from the field, 1-of-2 from the line, and 3-of-6 from deep. Covington also had seven rebounds, one assist, and one turnover.
Robert Covington, F1/9/2015 11:24:00 AM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington is likely to get another start with Luc Mbah a Moute dealing with a toe injury.
Insight: Covington was ugly last time out, but is averaging 12.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 2.2 three-pointers per contest.
Nerlens Noel, C1/7/2015 9:26:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel played well during Wednesday's loss versus Milwaukee.
Insight: He was 6-of-10 from the field for 13 points. Noel also had five rebounds, one assist, two blocks, two steals, and two turnovers. He will continue to be inconsistent.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/5/2015 9:39:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led Philadelphia to its first home victory of the season on Monday.
Insight: Carter-Williams scored nine of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead Philadelphia to a, 95-92, come-from-behind victory over Cleveland. Carter-Williams also had 13 assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block.
Michael Carter-Williams, G1/3/2015 9:14:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will not play Saturday against the Clippers.
Insight: This is just as a precaution, so consider him day-to-day. Tony Wroten will see a bump in value.
Tony Wroten, G1/3/2015 9:07:00 AM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten came off the bench to play 33 minutes on Friday and lead the team in scoring.
Insight: Wroten was 10-for-19 shooting, including 4-for-9 from behind the arc. He scored 28 points and had three assists, three steals and two rebounds. Along with Michael Carter-Williams, Wroten is really the only other player from the 76ers owners would want on their fantasy teams.
Henry Sims, C12/31/2014 1:41:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims scored a team-high 19 points.
Insight: Sims only played 23 minutes but was very efficient shooting 9-of-13 with seven rebounds. He still isn't fantasy relevant, though, as he averages 9.8 ppg and 5.7 rpg.
Tony Wroten, G12/28/2014 9:57:00 AM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten led the team in scoring Saturday.
Insight: Wroten didn't shoot very great, going 8-for-17, on his way to 20 points. He also contributed six rebounds and two steals. Even off the bench, Wroten is a decent fantasy option for the star-hungry 76ers.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/23/2014 10:36:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led Philadelphia back to defeat the Heat, 91-87, on Tuesday.
Insight: A two-game winning streak for the 76ers might be a sign the apocalypse is near. Philadelphia outscored Miami, 18-9, in the fourth quarter. Carter-Williams had 20 points with six steals, five assists, three rebounds and a block.
Hollis Thompson, G/F12/23/2014 2:38:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia G/F Hollis Thompson will miss Tuesday's game against Miami due to an upper respiratory infection.
Insight: Thompson is averaging 7.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.1 spg. Tony Wroten, K.J. McDaniels and Alexey Shved will see more playing time.
Robert Covington, F12/19/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington continued to produce for fantasy owners during Friday's loss to the Hornets.
Insight: All six of his field goals were 3-pointers, as he finished with 19 points, two rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and four turnovers. Convington should be picked up everywhere.
Nerlens Noel, C12/15/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel scored a career-high 19 points during Monday's loss to the Celtics.
Insight: Noel was 9-of-12 from the floor and had eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks, and three turnovers. Owners should continue to expect some inconsistency.
Robert Covington, F12/13/2014 10:51:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Robert Covington led the team with 24 points on Saturday.
Insight: Covington did not shoot that well, going 5-for-16 and only hitting on 3-of-11 3-pointers, but he was helped out by the fact he went to the line all night and made 11-of-12 foul shots. Covington also had nine rebounds, an assist and steal. With him in the starting lineup for Philadelphia, he has become a decent fantasy option.
Nerlens Noel, C12/13/2014 7:13:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel will come off the bench on Saturday with Henry Sims starting.
Insight: Noel has struggled a lot lately. He has scored more than 10 points just once in the last five games, so fantasy owners might want to think about benching him too.
K.J. McDaniels, F12/13/2014 6:46:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward K.J. McDaniels will not play against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Insight: McDaniels has a sore ankle that he rolled again on Friday. He should remain a stash away candidate in standard leagues.
Robert Covington, F12/12/2014 9:47:00 PM
Description: Sixers forward Robert Covington played well in his first start of the season.
Insight: He went 6-of-10 from the field, and every shot he attempted was from beyond the arc. Covington finished with 20 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block, and three turnovers. He should be picked up everywhere.
Tony Wroten, G12/12/2014 7:09:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten will play Friday against Brooklyn.
Insight: He is averaging a team-high 17.9 ppg, and after missing the past six games, Wroten should be back in all lineups.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/10/2014 9:53:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams had a somewhat odd stat line during Wednesday's loss against the Hawks.
Insight: He was 4-of-7 from the field for eight points. Carter-Williams also had 10 rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and a dreadful nine turnovers. He will continue to have great chances to produce.
Tony Wroten, G12/10/2014 9:57:00 AM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Insight: Philadelphia originally called Wroten likely to return on Wednesday, but now it seems unlikely. Check back for confirmation, and if he can't go, Robert Covington will take most of Wroten's minutes.
Tony Wroten, G12/8/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten is expected to return to action Wednesday.
Insight: Wroten (17.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.3 apg) will likely come off the bench at both PG and SG and should still see his full compliment of minutes, but may not score as much with Michael Carter-Williams and Robert Covington scoring at a high level.
Robert Covington, FHot12/8/2014 3:49:00 PM
Description: In case you haven't been paying attention, Sixers forward Robert Covington has been playing great for a midseason pickup.
Insight: Covington has scored 17, 21 and 25 points in the past three games and is seeing close to 30 minutes per night. Not coincidently, the Sixers have won two fo their last three games.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/6/2014 10:20:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams continued to fill the stat sheet in Saturday's win against Detroit.
Insight: No that is not a mistake. The 76ers have now won two of the past three games, and MCW has been a major reason why. He had 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 shooting from the line, along with 15 assists, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks, but also seven turnovers. Owners would like to see his turnovers go down, but after a line like that, nobody can complain.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/5/2014 9:43:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams continues to rack up statistics while shooting bad percentages.
Insight: Carter-Williams shot 6-of-19 and went 3-for-5 from the free-throw line on Friday against the Thunder. He did, however, nearly record another triple-double with 16 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds. Carter-Williams also had three steals.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/3/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams led the team with 20 points as Philadelphia finally won a game this season.
Insight: Carter-Williams scored 20 points and nearly finished with a triple-double once again with nine rebounds and nine assists. His shooting numbers, however, continue to be subpar. Carter-Williams shot 9-of-20, missed all three of his 3-point attempts and just 2-of-7 at the line. Meanwhile, the 76ers are 1-17.
Nerlens Noel, C12/3/2014 12:36:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel (hip) will play on Wednesday.
Insight: After missing Monday's game, Noel is ready to roll on Wednesday. He has been steadily improving, and should continue to do so.
Michael Carter-Williams, G12/1/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams nearly posted another triple-double in Monday's loss to the Spurs.
Insight: He had one Saturday against Dallas, but came up a little short on Monday, with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Still, owners will take it.
Nerlens Noel, C12/1/2014 6:44:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel (hip) will not play Monday against the Spurs.
Insight: He was probable, but will be unable to suit up. Henry Sims and Brandon Davies will see more minutes.
Michael Carter-Williams, GHot12/1/2014 11:42:00 AM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is probable for Monday's game against San Antonio after twisting his ankle in the last minute Saturday.
Insight: We expect him to play. Carter-Williams was the one-man wrecking crew against Dallas, with 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds, but he shot terribly, going 4-for-13 from the field.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/29/2014 9:48:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple-double on Saturday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Carter-Williams was the one-man wrecking crew with 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds, but he shot terribly, going 4-for-13 from the field. He made up for it, hitting 10-of-12 foul shots. Expect more of the same from the guard going forward: lots of points, rebounds and assists but poor shooting numbers.
K.J. McDaniels, F11/29/2014 9:46:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward K.J. McDaniels led the team with 21 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: McDaniels is still not starting, but he played 32 minutes coming off the bench Saturday. It was the second straight game McDaniels played more than 30 minutes and in each game, he scored in the double figures.
Tony Wroten, G11/26/2014 9:28:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten recorded 18 points and 10 assists during Wednesday's loss to the Nets.
Insight: The issue tonight was that Wroten had eight turnovers as well. However, he will continue to be a solid option, assuming he continues to start.
Henry Sims, C11/24/2014 9:21:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims scored a season-high 22 points on Monday.
Insight: He also had four rebounds and was 8-of-14 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. Sims can be safely kept on the waiver wire for now.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/24/2014 9:19:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams scored 24 points in Monday's loss to Portland.
Insight: He was 10-of-24 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line. Carter-Williams also chipped in seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two turnovers. He needs to contribute more in the assist column, but it was a solid night, nevertheless.
Nerlens Noel, C11/22/2014 10:18:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel played very well in Saturday's loss to the Knicks.
Insight: He was 6-of-11 from the field, but only 5-of-10 from the line for 17 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and two turnovers. Free throws will continue to be an issue for Noel, but hopefully he will continue to produce lines like this one.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/21/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams started and led the team with 18 points on Friday versus the Suns.
Insight: Carter-Williams also had six rebounds and six assists. He continues to be the best fantasy option on the worst team in the league.
Tony Wroten, G11/21/2014 5:39:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten will start at shooting guard against the Suns on Friday.
Insight: Wroten will line up next to Michael Carter-Williams, Luc Mbah a Moute, Nerlens Noel and Henry Sims. Wroten is averaging 19.3 ppg this season.
Tony Wroten, G11/19/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten led the team with 21 points on Wednesday against the Celtics.
Insight: Wroten finished the team's top scorer despite shooting 7-of-19 from the field and a bad 1-for-6 from behind the arc. He also had seven assists and three rebounds.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/17/2014 10:56:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams came off the bench on Monday and scored 16 points.
Insight: He was the best player for the lowly 76ers, who are now 0-10. He had 16 points, shooting 7-for-14, and grabbing five rebounds and four assists.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/17/2014 1:38:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will continue to come off the bench ... at least Monday, according to Keith Pompey.
Insight: MCW will eventually go back to his starting role as soon as he knocks the rust of his game. At the moment he's shooting just 32.3 percent from the field after being a 40 percent guy last season. Despite that he's still averaging 16.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.0 spg.
Tony Wroten, G11/14/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored 19 points in Friday's loss to Houston.
Insight: He also had eight assists, four rebounds, one steal, two 3-pointers, and four turnovers. It will be interesting to see how much time Wroten gets once Michael Carter-Williams re-enters to starting lineup.
Alexey Shved, G11/14/2014 10:58:00 AM
Description: Sixers point guard Alexey Shved is doubtful for Friday's game against Houston with a sore lower back.
Insight: Shved missed Thursday's game and is unlikely for Friday as there is no reason to push any Sixers player before they are 100 percent since they aren't trying to win games this season ... again.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/14/2014 10:12:00 AM
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) played for the first time in 2014-15.
Insight: Coming off the bench, MCW was obviously rusty but scored 19 points on 6-of-19 shots with eight rebounds and five assists. The Sixers team looked horrible in another blowout loss, but this was encouraging for Carter-Williams fantasy owners.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/13/2014 4:48:00 PM
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will likely come off the bench Thursday night against Dallas.
Insight: This is according to Carter-Williams himself, as it will be his first game in almost seven months. We think he will have a solid fantasy season, but owners need to temper expectations early on.
K.J. McDaniels, F11/12/2014 2:49:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward K.J. McDaniels has 2.2 blocks per game over his last five contests.
Insight: McDaniels told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Wednesday that it would "mean a lot" to start for the 76ers. It sounds like coach brett Brown is not ready to plug McDaniels into the starting lineup, but the rookie is trending up. In deep leagues, stash McDaniels and keep an eye on him in shallow leagues.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/11/2014 2:24:00 PM
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will be eased back into the flow and likely won't play big minutes at the start, according to head coach Brett Brown.
Insight: Carter-Williams is expected to return against Dallas on Thursday. He averaged 34.5 mpg last season and posted 16.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 6.3 apg. But since the Sixers are obviously not trying to win games this season his return date is no doubt "flexible."
Alexey Shved, G11/11/2014 2:19:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Alexey Shved missed Tuesday's practice due to back soreness and should be considered questionable for the next game.
Insight: Shved has played solid basketball, but at less than 18 mpg can't put up enough statistics to be fantasy worthy.
Tony Wroten, G11/7/2014 9:39:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored 31 points as the 76ers nearly came back against the Bulls, but ultimately fell short, 118-115, on Friday.
Insight: Wroten did not shoot all that well, making 3-out-of-10 from the 3-point line and 11-of-27 from the field overall, but he finished with 31 points. That's 58 points in the last two games for Wroten.
Nerlens Noel, C11/7/2014 12:22:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel left Wednesday's game against the Magic due to an ankle injury and will not play Friday.
Insight: Noel suffered an ankle sprain and the Sixers have no reason to push him before he is ready. Henry Sims will likely return to the starting lineup.
Brandon Davies, F11/6/2014 9:26:00 AM
Description: Sixers power forward Brandon Davies is already moved into a starting role and if Nerlens Noel's ankle injury keeps him out for any length of time, Davies could become a viable fantasy option.
Insight: Davies scored 20 points Wednesday night with four rebounds, one assist and a steal in 29 minutes. He could soon crack the 30-minute mark.
Tony Wroten, G11/5/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored a team-high 27 points against the Magic on Wednesday.
Insight: Wroten shot 4-of-6 from the 3-point line, making nine field goals overall. He also had eight assists, but he hurt fantasy owners with nine turnovers as well.
Nerlens Noel, C11/5/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel left Wednesday's game against the Magic.
Insight: Noel suffered an ankle sprain and will not return. We will keep you posted with updates.
Michael Carter-Williams, G11/5/2014 6:38:00 PM
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams plans to practice on Thursday according to Calkins Media.
Insight: Carter-Williams hopes to return next week against Dallas on Nov. 13, but even when he returns, he likely won't average 30 minutes per game right away. It will take at least a few games to get back to where he was at the end of last season.
Brandon Davies, F11/5/2014 6:35:00 PM
Description: Sixers power forward Brandon Davies will start against the Magic on Wednesday.
Insight: Davies scored 13 points on Tuesday, and Henry Sims has been struggling, so coach Brett Brown has made the switch. Fantasy owners in deeper leagues should grab Davies over Sims.
Brandon Davies, F11/4/2014 2:47:00 PM
Description: Sixers backup PF Brandon Davies may get a chance to start more often after starter Nerlens Noel indicated he's more comfortable in the middle.
Insight: Davies would play at the power forward spot. He scored 13 points with four rebounds and three assists Tuesday in a rare start that could become a recurring option.
Nerlens Noel, C11/3/2014 9:34:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel somehow grabbed only rebound on Monday.
Insight: He played well other than that, totaling 10 points, five assists, six steals, one block, and three turnovers. Owners should expect Noel's rebounding numbers to improve quickly.
Tony Wroten, G11/3/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten scored 20 points in Monday's loss to Houston.
Insight: He also had five rebounds, five assists, five steals, and five turnovers. As long as Michael Carter-Williams is out of the lineup, Wroten will have the opportunity to put up nice numbers.
Brandon Davies, F11/3/2014 12:05:00 PM
Description: Sixers backup PF Brandon Davies would likely start if Henry Sims isn't ready to go Monday.
Insight: Davies would play at the power forward spot and Nerlens Noel would shift to center. Davies has 18 points against Miam in 24 minutes and 12 points in 18 minutes against Indiana. If he gets minutes he could be a useful low-end value.
Henry Sims, C11/3/2014 11:39:00 AM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims will be a game-time decision after missing the morning shootaround due to an upper respiratory infection.
Insight: Sims is averaging 8.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg and has yet to show up he can be a consistent rebounder, much less a double-double guy needed to be a fantasy asset.
Tony Wroten, G11/1/2014 9:50:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten led the 76ers in scoring during the team's home opener.
Insight: Wroten had a double-double with 21 points and 10 assists. He is getting to the line a lot and made 8-of-11 free throws. He is the best fantasy option on the 76ers.
Nerlens Noel, C11/1/2014 9:02:00 AM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel had a double-double in Friday's loss to the Bucks.
Insight: He had 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with three blocks and a steal. Noel also shot 7-of-11 from the field. Owners should be extremely pleased with that performance.
Alexey Shved, GHot10/31/2014 12:24:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Alexey Shved played very well in the opener and on this weak Philadelphia roster should continue to see plenty of playing time.
Insight: Shved posted 18 points and five assists in just 24 minutes. He was 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and fantasy owners should keep an eye on him. If he sees the same workload or more he'd be a useful bench addition.
Tony Wroten, G10/29/2014 9:42:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten had a solid opening night.
Insight: He was filling in for the injured Michael Carter-Williams, and posted a nice stat line. Wroten was 9-of-21 for 22 points, while also adding seven assists, eight rebounds, and three steals. Once MCW returns from injury, Wroten will move back to the bench, but as long as he continues to see minutes, he will be able to provide numbers for fantasy owners.
Nerlens Noel, C10/29/2014 9:40:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel posted 10 rebounds and three blocks in his NBA debut.
Insight: He had a poor shooting night, going 2-for-11 from the field and 2-for-6 from the line, for his six points. Owners will have to deal with poor offensive nights from Noel, but it is nice to see him produce in the rebounding and shot-blocking department, early on.
Jason Richardson, SG10/25/2014 7:16:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson (knee, foot) is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his right foot.
Insight: He is now a longshot to play this season, after missing all of 2013-14. Even if he is able to suit up at all, Richardson is not fantasy-relevant.
Tony Wroten, G10/24/2014 7:34:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Tony Wroten does a little bit of everything but nothing all that well.
Insight: Wroten will likely average over 11 PPG, close to three rebounds and assists per game and nearly a steal per game. He won't lite up any one category. Keep in mind, Wroten is also a very poor free-throw shooter. He shot 64.1 percent from the line last season.
Henry Sims, C10/24/2014 7:31:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Henry Sims is a double-double threat on most nights.
Insight: Sims averaged 12.1 PPG and 7.0 RPG in 25 games last season. The 76ers will be bad, but someone has to grab some stats. Sims will accumulate some numbers playing on a bad Philadelphia team.
K.J. McDaniels, F10/24/2014 7:28:00 PM
Description: The Sports Network's projections have rookie K.J. McDaniels as the 76ers second leading scorer in 2014-2015.
Insight: McDaniels was quite the scorer at Clemson, averaging 17.1 PPG while also chipping in 7.1 RPG, 2.8 BPG and 1.1 SPG. The rookie has already showcased his blocking ability through the preseason. Coach Brett Brown is a defensive coach, so he will likely start McDaniels for defense, which will allow him to contribute in other areas in fantasy.
Nerlens Noel, C10/24/2014 7:24:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel is 100 percent over his torn ACL and will get all the minutes he can handle this season.
Insight: The 76ers will be awful this season, but Noel will accumulate blocks, steals and rebounds right away. His long-term potential also has him as a 20-point scorer, but right out of the gate, we expect him to sit more around the 10 PPG mark.
Michael Carter-Williams, G10/24/2014 7:20:00 PM
Description: 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will be the team's top offensive weapon once he returns to the court.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He is targeting Nov. 13 as his return. Carter-Williams does not shoot a high percentage, just 40.5 percent from the field, 26.4 percent from behind the arc, and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line, but he will accumulate points, rebounds, assists and steals to be a quality fantasy guard.
Nerlens Noel, C10/24/2014 10:13:00 AM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel still lacks an offensive game, but fantasy owners should take note of his game Wednesday.
Insight: Noel shot just 3-of-10, but pulled down eight rebounds, blocked five shots and added five steals. That's the kind of line fantasy owners like to see.
Michael Carter-Williams, G10/23/2014 3:48:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) is targeting a mid-November return, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He won the Rookie of the Year with averages of 16.7 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. This timetable would have him missing 7-10 games.
Nerlens Noel, C10/10/2014 8:47:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel did not play on Friday due to a right thigh issue.
Insight: The 76ers held Noel out on Friday for precautionary reasons. Noel is listed as day-to-day. He should be one of the first rookies selected in fantasy drafts. With his shot-block ability, Noel has No. 1 center potential.
Nerlens Noel, C10/8/2014 11:01:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel made 5-of-13 shots, scoring 10 points, and also had nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 31 minutes of Wednesday's preseason game against the Hornets.
Insight: Noel likely benefitted from the matchup against Al Jefferson on Wednesday. Jefferson is know for playing very little defense. The numbers from Wednesday are much better than Noel's numbers from the first preseason game. With the lack of scoring elsewhere on the 76ers and lack of depth at the center position, Noel is a possible No. 1 center in fantasy.
Hollis Thompson, G/F10/8/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia G/F Hollis Thompson suffered a corneal abrasion in his left eye and is out on Wednesday according to Comcast Sports Net.
Insight: Most of the time, this type of injury is minor, but other players have missed significant time from it. If he missing significant time, K.J. McDaniels and Alexey Shved will see more playing time.
Michael Carter-Williams, G8/27/2014 1:59:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder surgery) has not yet been cleared for five-on-five workouts with contact, according to 76ers GM Sam Hinkie.
Insight: Carter-Williams had surgery over the offseason to repair his left shoulder. He missed 12 games his rookie season, but won the Rookie of the Year with averages of 16.7 points, 0.8 3-pointers, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. If he can stay healthy, he should be a reliable point guard option especially in leagues that have no penalty for turnovers.
Nerlens Noel, C7/5/2014 3:42:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel gave Sixers fans and fantasy owners a first glimpse of his ability in Saturday's summer league contest.
Insight: The 20-year-old, who sat out the entire season after ACL surgery, played 26 minutes and posted 19 points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block. Most important he looked healthy. He could see plenty of court time in 2014 and could end up being a mid-round fantasy value.
Joel Embiid, C6/26/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: The Sixers took a chance on Kansas center Joel Embiid with the third pick in Thursday's NBA Draft.
Insight: Embiid was supposed to go No. 1 to Cleveland but the Cavs were scared away by his foot injury. When Embiid gets healthy, he and Nerlens Noel will form one of the league's best young low post duos.
Michael Carter-Williams, G5/6/2014 7:14:00 PM
Description: Philadelphia point guard Michael Carter-Williams underwent surgery to repair the labrum of his right shoulder, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.
Insight: Carter-Williams was named NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday. The NBA season took its toll on MCW, costing him 12 games due to a left foot bruise, a knee infection and a sore shoulder. However, he finished strong with averages of 17.8 points on .512 shooting, 7.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.5 steals over his last 10 games. With two picks in the lottery, the 76ers' roster should be much improved next season as Carter-Williams tries to improve upon his 16.7 ppg on .405 shooting, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Michael Carter-Williams, G5/5/2014 6:13:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams was announced Monday as the NBA's 2013-14 Rookie of the Year. SOURCE: NBA.com
Insight: He's only the third rookie in NBA history to average at least 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. MCW isn't a good shooter (40.5 percent) and he can be a bit turnover-prone (3.5 turnovers per game) but his versatility still makes him a strong fantasy asset. At age 22, he's only going to get better.
