Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap led Atlanta with 22 points in the, 93-91, victory over the Heat on Saturday.
Insight: With the Hawks resting Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford, Millsap stepped up to lead the team to victory. He was 8-of-15 shooting with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Millsap also hit two 3-pointers.
Description: Hawks backup guard Dennis Schroeder will start on Saturday against the Heat.
Insight: Jeff Teague is out resting due to the back-to-back games, so Schorder along with Kent Bazemore and Elton Brand will receive the spot starts. Shelvin Mack, however, is a nice daily fantasy option if owners need 3-pointers.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague will rest on Saturday versus the Heat.
Insight: DeMarre Carroll, Al Horford and Pero Antic will also not play in order to receive more rest. This is the second time Atlanta is doing this this season. Kyle Korver, Paul MIllsap, Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore and Elton Brand will start.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap had 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the, 117-105, victory over the Timberwolves on Monday.
Insight: It was nice to see Millsap have a great all around fantasy game because he has struggled to start this month. He is averaging 12.8 ppg and 5.8 rpg in five February games after averaging 18.3 ppg and 8.0 rpg in January. Hopefully this game gets Millsap going again.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford led Atlanta with 28 points versus the Timberwolves on Monday.
Insight: Horford was 11-for-18 from the field and 6-of-7 at the line. He also had eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks and a steal. Horford is rebounding much better as of late, averaging 11.2 rpg over the last five games.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague went 11-of-11 from the line during Friday's win versus Golden State.
Insight: Teague was just 5-of-15 from the floor, but did manage a team-high 23 points. He also had seven assists, three rebounds, two 3-pointers, three steals, two blocks, and two turnovers. Teague is a top-20 option.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague led the team with 21 points, but Atlanta lost for the first time since the day after Christmas.
Insight: Atlanta lost to New Orleans, 115-100, to snap its 19-game winning streak. That was the fifth longest winning streak in NBA history. In addition to the 21 points, Teague finished 8-of-17 from the floor with seven assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Description: Hawks guard/forward Kent Bazemore is the small forward starter as long as DeMarre Carroll and Thabo Sefolosha are sidelined, but it's still to-be-determined whether he can help fantasy owners.
Insight: Bazemore posted a nice 12-point, five-rebound, three-assist performance on Friday, but threw a dud out on Saturday with just three points, three rebounds and two assists against the Sixers. Fantasy owners should take a wait and see attitude.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll did not play versus the 76ers on Saturday and is questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans.
Insight: Carroll is dealing with a strained left Achilles and is expected to get an MRI. With Thabo Sefolosha sidelined for 6-8 weeks, Kent Bazemore should see a heavy dose of playing time, though he didn't do much with 30 minutes against Philly Saturday night.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll will not play versus the 76ers on Saturday.
Insight: That means Kent Bazemore will get the majority of the minutes at small forward. Thabo Sefolosha injured his calf on Friday, so that's why the job falls to Bazemore. Carroll should be held onto in standard leagues.
Description: Hawks guard/forward Kent Bazemore played a season-high 40 minutes on Friday versus the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Without DeMarree Carroll and backup Thabo Sefelosha, Bazemore saw plenty of playing time, scoring 12 points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. He could see a lot more playing time because it appears as if Sefelosha is going to miss extensive time. Carroll, however, is expected to play on Saturday, but Bazemore is worth watching.
Description: Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha left Friday's game with a right calf strain according to AJC.com.
Insight: Sefolosha started versus the Trail Blazers on Friday because the team gave DeMarre Carroll the night off with an Achilles injury. Since Sefolosha is not returning, Kent Bazemore moves into the starting role for Friday.
Sefolosha is a defensive guard with more real-life value than fantasy value. He's averaging just 5.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.4 apg. When he's out, Kyle Korver and Demarre Carroll get more minutes.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford was one of three Atlanta players with double-doubles on Wednesday.
Insight: Horford was second on the team with 20 points and 10 rebounds, but he also had five assists to turn in a very solid fantasy night. He was 10-of-13 from the field. Horford is a must-start in all leagues.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap had a monster game versus the Nets to help Atlanta extend its winning streak to 17 games.
Insight: Millsap had 28 points and 15 rebounds, but he was also stellar in the percentage categories. He shot 5-of-9, including 3-for-5 from the 3-point line and was 15-for-16 at the line. Millsap also chipped in two blocks, an assist and a steal.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap continued his quest for his first all-star bid during Friday's win against the Thunder.
Insight: He had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Millsap shot 9-of-17 from the fiel, 2-of-2 from the line, and 2-of-3 from downtown, and also managed three assists, two steals, two blocks, and four turnovers.
Description: Hawks forward Mike Scott came off the bench and scored 20 points on Monday.
Insight: The 20 points ties a season-high for Scott, which he previously set on opening night of the season. Scott was 9-of-15, including 2-for-6 from the 3-point line. Atlanta's starters, however, dominant the score sheet night in and night out, so it's hard to count on a guy like Scott for consistent fantasy production.
Description: Hawks backup point guard Shelvin Mack will not play Monday versus Detroit.
Insight: Mack was only getting about 13 minutes of playing time which isn't enough to make anyone fantasy worthy. He's averaging 4.5 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 2.8 apg. Dennis Schroder should sponge up the minutes.
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver knocked down seven 3-pointers during Saturday's victory against the Bulls.
Insight: Those were all of the field goals Korver made on the night, as he went 7-of-10 from the floor and 3-of-3 from the line for a team-high 24 points. Korver is arguably having the best season of his career.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap turned in another solid fantasy night as Atlanta won its 11th straight game on Friday.
Insight: Millsap scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He also added four assists, three steals and two blocks. He was just 6-of-9 from the field so very efficient. Millsap is just behind Jeff Teague for the team lead in scoring and leads the team in rebounding.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford was a perfect 8-for-8 from the field as he led Atlanta in scoring on Friday.
Insight: Horford scored 22 points and had five rebounds, five assists and a block. Horford was also 6-for-7 from the foul line, which is very respectable for a center. Horford continues to be a must-start in all leagues.
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap look well rested and recorded a double-double on Wednesday.
Insight: Atlanta rested Millsap on Tuesday, but he returned to the court versus the Celtics. Millsap scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the victory over the Celtics. Millsap was 5-of-10 from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 at the line. He also had three assists, two steals and two blocks.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic will start on Wednesday for Al Horford.
Insight: Former Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer is following his old coach Gregg Popovich's strategy of resting star players when possible. The Hawks didn't start three starters on Tuesday, and Horford and Kyle Korver won't play on Wednesday. In daily leagues, Antic is an option, but he holds no value in regular leagues.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford will not play on Wednesday against the Celtics in order to rest according to the Boston Globe.
Insight: Atlanta rested three starters on Tuesday, and they will do the same on Wednesday by sitting Horford. The Hawks forward recorded a triple-double on Tuesday, so when he returns this weekend, there is no doubt Horford should be in all fantasy lineups.
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver hit five 3-pointers to lead the Hawks in scoring on Sunday.
Insight: Korver scored 19 points, going 6-of-8 from the field overall. He also had four assists, three rebounds and a steal. Korver will give owners great 3-pointer numbers most nights, but you know what they say: live by the three, die by the three.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague scored a team-high 25 points during Wednesday's victory versus Memphis.
Insight: He went 9-of-14 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 3-of-4 from deep. Teague also chipped in six assists, three boards, two steals, one block, and three turnovers. He may be playing in the All-Star Game.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague was all over the box score Monday night.
Insight: Teague posted 20 points, nine assists, four rebounds and four steals in a tough road win at the Clippers. Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll missed Thursday's practice due to dehydration, but is expected to play Friday despite being listed as questionable, according to Chris Vivlamore of AJC.
Insight: Carroll is averaging 11.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.2 spg and 1.6 threes per contest. Those are the best numbers of his career and he's a low-end fantasy value.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll hit a season-high five 3-pointers in the victory over the Clippers on Tuesday.
Insight: Carroll's 3-point percentage is down this month compared to November, but he certainly helped that percentage making 5-of-6 3-pointers on Tuesday. Carroll scored 25 points which is also a season-high.
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver hit four 3-pointers during Saturday's victory against the Rockets.
Insight: He was 7-of-12 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 4-of-8 from deep for a team-high 22 points. Korver also had three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two turnovers. He needs to hit from beyond to be a productive fantasy option.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague will not play on Wednesday against the Cavaliers due to a hamstring injury.
Insight: Teague could also miss some additional time. Dennis Schroder and Shelvin Mack are the two guards for fantasy owners to keep an eye on while Teague is out. Schroder is even a pretty good daily plug-in for Wednesday.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague had a great fantasy night against the Magic.
Insight: Teague scored 24 points shooting 44 percent from the floor. That's a little below Teague's 47.9 shooting percentage, but he did make 2-of-4 from the 3-point line and 6-of-8 at the line. Teague also had eight assists, three steals, three rebounds and a block.
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford scored 25 points to lead Atlanta in scoring on Monday against the Pacers.
Insight: Horford shot 9-of-18 from the field and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. That's huge for the free-throw percentage because as a center, Horford isn't expected to contribute much in that category.
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver went 6-for-7 from the 3-point line as he had another impressive fantasy night.
Insight: Korver shot 8-of-9 from the field overall and made both his free throws. He also chipped in six rebounds, four assists, a steal and block to go with 24 points. Korver is off to an incredible start this season, shooting over 50 percent from both the field and from the 3-point line.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague recorded 24 points and 12 assists on Wednesday.
Insight: After only three assists last night, Teague responded in a big way on Wednesday against Toronto. He was 7-of-14 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line, with two 3-pointers, one steal, and five turnovers.
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague scored a team-high 28 points in Tuesday's win over the Wizards.
Insight: He was 8-of-18 from the field and 12-of-15 from the line, while also chipping in three assists, one rebound, two steals, one block, and three turnovers. While the production is nice, Teague's assist numbers need to improve.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll is expected to play Friday against Detroit.
Insight: Carroll suffered the injury on Monday against the Knicks missed four games. He's played well when healthy averaging 12 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.5 apg. He may not start and may be on a minutes limit, so fantasy owners should wait a game to re-install him in their lineups.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll is expected to miss Tuesday's game with the ongoing groin injury.
Insight: Carroll suffered the injury on Monday against the Knicks and already missed three games. Call him day-to-day.Thabo Sefolosha will start. Sefolosha is not reliable enough to plug into standard leagues.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll is expected to miss another game Friday with a groin injury.

Description: Atlanta C/PF Al Horford scored 12 points in his return to action on Wednesday.
Insight: After playing in only 29 games last season, Horford was 6-of-15 from the field, while chipping in 13 rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and one steal. As long as he can stay healthy, Horford will have a major impact on the fantasy season.
Description: Hawks PF/C Elton Brand was once a 20-10 fantasy stud, but those days are long gone.
Insight: As long as Paul Millsap and Al Horford stay healthy, Brand will just be a back with little fantasy value. Even as a starter for 15 games last season, he only managed 8.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.9 apg which isn't fantasy worthy.
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver is the very definition of a one-category player.
Insight: Korver is a great shooter of the three-ball, hitting a league-leading 47.2 percent in 2013-14. He's led the league in that category in two of the past five seasons and is a career 42.5 percent shooter from beyond the arc. But you aren't going to get much help elsewhere. We are projection 12.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.8 apg for 2014-15.
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll finally found a home with his fifth NBA team and it showed in his production.
Insight: Carroll (11.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.8 apg) made a huge statistical jump last season as he finall became a full-time starter and saw a consistent 32 minutes per night. We are expecting similar numbers this season.

Insight: Teague posted career high totals in ppg (16.5), rebounds (2.6) while still dishing out 6.7 apg. He played almost every night - he's missed just five games over the past two seasons. A weakness is the drop in shooting percentage which has come with the increase workload.
Description: Raptors guard Louis Williams will be a reserve for Toronto this season.
Insight: He relished in that role in Atlanta, but the Raptors backcourt is quite crowded with Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Greivis Vasquez. Williams will likely not touch the ball enough to be relevant in standard fantasy leagues unless there is an injury.
Description: The Hawks have signed guard Thabo Sefolosha to a three-year, $12 million contract.
Insight: Sefolosha has never averaged more than 8.5 ppg in a season and he's unlikely to do so with the Hawks. He's a defensive guard with more real-life value than fantasy value, though he wasn't very good in real life either this postseason and found himself benched.

Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap put up a game-high 29 points in Saturday's loss to Indiana.
Insight: Millsap continues to be a force in all areas for Atlanta, contributing 21.8 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.5 bpg through the first four games of this series. One play he'd like to have back was the last possession when Millsap ran into a wall of defenders before passing it to Pero Antic for the final shot. The series is tied 2-2 heading into Monday's Game 5.

Description: Atlanta guard Kyle Korver was a late scratch Friday a is questionable for Sunday's game against Toronto.

The downside was that he only shot 6-of-17 from the field (35.3 percent) and he missed five three throws. Of course, we're nitpicking here. Millsap was great Saturday and he's really been excellent all season. Expect another big game from him Monday against the Bobcats.
