Jannero Pargo, G12/25/2014 10:18:00 AM
Description: Hornets backup guard Jannero Pargo will miss Friday's game against Oklahoma City due to a sore lower back.

Pero Antic, C12/25/2014 10:12:00 AM
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic is questionable for Friday's game against Milwaukee due to a sprained right ankle.
Insight: Antic, the backup to Al Horford, doesn't have fantasy value except when the starter is injured. He's averaging just 5.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.9 apg.
Jeff Teague, PG12/24/2014 9:53:00 AM
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague came off the bench Tuesday and didn't produce much for fantasy owners.
Insight: Teague had missed three games due to a hamstring injury. He played just 24 minutes scoring nine points with two rebounds and six assists. He averages 16.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 7.0 apg.
Al Horford, C12/23/2014 10:25:00 PM
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford scored 20 points on Tuesday.
Insight: Horford still isn't wowing owners with rebounds, but he continues to find ways to score. He has 18 points in five of the last six games.
DeMarre Carroll, SF12/23/2014 10:21:00 PM
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll hit a season-high five 3-pointers in the victory over the Clippers on Tuesday.
Insight: Carroll's 3-point percentage is down this month compared to November, but he certainly helped that percentage making 5-of-6 3-pointers on Tuesday. Carroll scored 25 points which is also a season-high.
Kyle Korver, G/F12/20/2014 10:52:00 PM
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver hit four 3-pointers during Saturday's victory against the Rockets.
Insight: He was 7-of-12 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 4-of-8 from deep for a team-high 22 points. Korver also had three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two turnovers. He needs to hit from beyond to be a productive fantasy option.
Jeff Teague, PG12/20/2014 2:47:00 PM
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
Insight: Teague missed Wednesday's game with a hamstring injury. Even if he plays, Patrick Beverley will be guarding Teague, so it is safe to bench Teague for Saturday.
Al Horford, C12/17/2014 9:17:00 PM
Description: Hawks forward Al Horford grabbed just two rebounds but still posted good fantasy numbers on Wednesday.
Insight: That's because Horford shot 10-of-14 on his way to 20 points. He led all the Atlanta starters in scoring. Horford also added four assists and two blocks.
Shelvin Mack, G12/17/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Hawks point guard Shelvin Mack had by far his biggest game of the season Wednesday versus the Cavaliers.
Insight: Mack played 23 minutes, the most he has been on the floor this month, and scored 24 points. Mack shot an incredible 6-for-6 from downtown and 7-of-8 from the field overall. Judging by the fact Mack had just six 3-point attempts in the last four games combined, he is never going to repeat this performance.
Jeff Teague, PG12/17/2014 5:52:00 PM
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague will not play on Wednesday against the Cavaliers due to a hamstring injury.
Insight: Teague could also miss some additional time. Dennis Schroder and Shelvin Mack are the two guards for fantasy owners to keep an eye on while Teague is out. Schroder is even a pretty good daily plug-in for Wednesday.
Jeff Teague, PG12/17/2014 3:00:00 PM
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague (hamstring) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Boston.

Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (flu-like symptoms) is questionable for Monday's game against Chicago.
Insight: Antic made it through the morning shootaround and is a game-time decision. As the backup to Al Horford, he doesn't have fantasy value except when the starter is injured.
Jeff Teague, PG12/13/2014 9:48:00 PM
Description: Hawks point guard Jeff Teague had a great fantasy night against the Magic.
Insight: Teague scored 24 points shooting 44 percent from the floor. That's a little below Teague's 47.9 shooting percentage, but he did make 2-of-4 from the 3-point line and 6-of-8 at the line. Teague also had eight assists, three steals, three rebounds and a block.

Elton Brand, C10/27/2014 2:53:00 PM
Description: Hawks PF/C Elton Brand was once a 20-10 fantasy stud, but those days are long gone.
Insight: As long as Paul Millsap and Al Horford stay healthy, Brand will just be a back with little fantasy value. Even as a starter for 15 games last season, he only managed 8.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.9 apg which isn't fantasy worthy.
Kyle Korver, G/F10/27/2014 2:49:00 PM
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver is the very definition of a one-category player.
Insight: Korver is a great shooter of the three-ball, hitting a league-leading 47.2 percent in 2013-14. He's led the league in that category in two of the past five seasons and is a career 42.5 percent shooter from beyond the arc. But you aren't going to get much help elsewhere. We are projection 12.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.8 apg for 2014-15.
DeMarre Carroll, SF10/27/2014 2:45:00 PM
Description: Hawks small forward DeMarre Carroll finally found a home with his fifth NBA team and it showed in his production.
Insight: Carroll (11.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.8 apg) made a huge statistical jump last season as he finall became a full-time starter and saw a consistent 32 minutes per night. We are expecting similar numbers this season.
Jeff Teague, PG10/27/2014 2:43:00 PM
Description: Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague has produced increasingly numbers over his first five seasons, but we are expecting him to level off at his current level.
Insight: Teague posted career high totals in ppg (16.5), rebounds (2.6) while still dishing out 6.7 apg. He played almost every night - he's missed just five games over the past two seasons. A weakness is the drop in shooting percentage which has come with the increase workload.
Al Horford, C10/27/2014 2:36:00 PM
Description: Atlanta star center Al Horford averaged 18.6 ppg and 8.4 rpg for 29 games before a torn pectoral muscle ended his 2013-14 season, but appears healthy.

Paul Millsap, F10/27/2014 2:30:00 PM
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap averaged 17.9 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.1 bpg as a full time player for the first time.

Lou Williams, SG10/25/2014 1:54:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Louis Williams will be a reserve for Toronto this season.
Insight: He relished in that role in Atlanta, but the Raptors backcourt is quite crowded with Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Greivis Vasquez. Williams will likely not touch the ball enough to be relevant in standard fantasy leagues unless there is an injury.
Al Horford, C10/14/2014 2:03:00 PM
Description: Atlanta star center Al Horford is expected to start in Tuesday's exhibition game.

Description: The Hawks have signed guard Thabo Sefolosha to a three-year, $12 million contract.
Insight: Sefolosha has never averaged more than 8.5 ppg in a season and he's unlikely to do so with the Hawks. He's a defensive guard with more real-life value than fantasy value, though he wasn't very good in real life either this postseason and found himself benched.
Al Horford, C5/22/2014 12:01:00 PM
Description: Atlanta star center Al Horford is apparently on schedule for next season.
Insight: Dr. Xavier Duralde said Horford should be cleared for full participation of all normal basketball activities by the start of training camp. Horford averaged 18.6 ppg and 8.4 rog for 29 games this season before a torn pectoral muscle ended his season.

Insight: Millsap had another off shooting night (6-for-21 for 15 points) but he was excellent defensively with 17 rebounds, four steals and one blocked shot. Atlanta's season is over but give the Hawks credit for making it as far as they did without Al Horford (torn pectoral muscle).
Jeff Teague, PG5/1/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague put up 29 points in Thursday's loss to the Pacers.
Insight: Teague is having a breakout series, averaging 19.8 ppg in six contests. Over his last four games, Teague is a perfect 22-for-22 from the line. Teague hasn't played in a Game 7 since his rookie season in 2010.
Paul Millsap, F5/1/2014 10:19:00 PM
Description: Atlanta forward Paul Millsap was magnificent before fouling out Thursday against Indiana.
Insight: Though Millsap struggled to find his shot (just 4-of-13) he still finished with 16 points, 18 boards, five assists, three steals and two blocked shots. He'll have to be even better in Game 7 if the Hawks hope to advance to the next round.
Paul Millsap, F4/26/2014 8:44:00 PM
Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap put up a game-high 29 points in Saturday's loss to Indiana.
Insight: Millsap continues to be a force in all areas for Atlanta, contributing 21.8 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.5 bpg through the first four games of this series. One play he'd like to have back was the last possession when Millsap ran into a wall of defenders before passing it to Pero Antic for the final shot. The series is tied 2-2 heading into Monday's Game 5.
Paul Millsap, F4/16/2014 6:12:00 PM
Description: Atlanta forward Paul Millsap will not participate in Wednesday's game against Milwaukee. SOURCE: Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Description: Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll is expected to sit out Monday's game against Charlotte. Atlanta is locked into the eighth seed.

Paul Millsap, F4/14/2014 11:59:00 AM
Description: Atlanta forward Paul Millsap is one of three Hawks starters expected to sit on Monday.

Kyle Korver, G/F4/14/2014 11:55:00 AM
Description: Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver will rest on Monday in preparation for the playoffs, according to Chris Vivlamore of AJC.
Insight: Lou Williams will get the start. Korver is a 3-point shooting machine, going 185-for-192 this season. He's also averaging a career-best 4.0 rpg and 2.9 apg. He's also averaged a career-high 34 mpg. DeMarre Carroll is also expected to be rested.
Paul Millsap, FHot4/11/2014 9:57:00 PM
Description: Atlanta forward Paul Millsap had 27 points and 10 rebounds Friday at Brooklyn to knock the Hawks' magic number for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference down to one.

Description: Hawks power forward Paul Millsap had 33 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes Saturday against the Bobcats.
Insight: With Al Horford most likely out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle, Millsap is going to have more chances to score and rebound for the Hawks as their only inside threat. He's averaging 26 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 1.0 steals and 3.3 threes over his last three games.
DeMarre Carroll, SF12/28/2013 7:08:00 PM
Description: Atlanta forward DeMarre Carroll (thumb) will start for the Hawks Saturday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Carroll hurt his thumb Thursday but he doesn't have any serious damage. He's averaging 30 minutes, 9.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 threes per game this season, all career highs, after bouncing around with four other organizations in his first four seasons.

Insight: Horford went down with a torn pectoral muscle earlier in the week and could miss the rest of the season. It's unknown if the move is permanent. Mike Scott and Pero Antic are next up on the depth chart if Brand (2.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg) struggles in his new role.

Insight: Horford tore his right pectoral muscle in Thursday night's win over Cleveland. Who the Hawks start at center from here on out is anyone's guess. It will probably end up being some kind of timeshare between Pero Antic, Mike Scott, Elton Brand and maybe even Gustavo Ayon. It's a crushing blow to Atlanta's hopes of making the postseason.

Description: X-rays on DeMarre Carroll's injured thumb didn't show any structural damage. SOURCE: Chris Vivlamore, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Insight: That's good news though it doesn't give us a clear timetable for when we might expect to see Carroll back on the court. The Hawks were delivered a big blow earlier today when it was announced Al Horford would be out indefinitely with a torn pectoral muscle.

Insight: It's a complete tear and will probably keep Horford sidelined for the rest of the season. Mike Scott and Pero Antic will fight it out for minutes at center while he's out. Neither are good fantasy options.
