Insight: Carpenter hit his bomb in the fifth and then also had a sacrifice fly in the sixth. His four RBI helped erase a, 4-1, deficit as the Cardinals were comeback kids again. Carpenter is hitting .346 with five home runs and 20 RBI in 104 at-bats this season.
Description: Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre scored the winning run in the, 2-1, victory over the Astros on Monday.
Insight: Beltre was 1-for-4 in the game, hitting a double in the ninth and scored the game-winner in the frame. He is hitting .218 with two home runs and just four RBI in 101 at-bats this season. It's been another very disappointing year for Beltre.
Description: Ble Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson was 2-for-4 with a run scored in the, 3-1, victory over the Yankees on Monday.
Insight: Donaldson was the only player in the game with multiple hits. Donaldson scored on Edwin Encarnacion's double in the eighth. Donaldson is hitting .314 with six home runs and 18 RBI in 105 at-bats this season.
Description: Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter had a solo home run in the, 3-2, victory over the Pirates on Sunday.
Insight: Carpenter hit his solo bomb in the first, and it appeared that would be all the Cardinals would need until the Pirates tied the game at one in the top of the ninth. Each team scored in the 12th, and then St. Louis won in the 14th. Carpenter is hitting .365 with four home runs and 16 RBI this season.
Description: Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez will get the day off on Friday.
Insight: Rodriguez has gotten a lot of rest recently as he sat out Tuesday, and the Yankees didn't play on Thursday. He barely plays anyway because all he does is DH. Garrett Jones will be the designated hitter on Friday, though, and Rodriguez will play on Saturday.
Description: Orioles third baseman Manny Machado had a big day Wednesday against the White Sox.
Insight: With the stadium not open to the public, this game was very weird to watch. Machado went 3-for-4 with a homer and three runs scored. He is now hitting .254 with four homers and 16 RBI this season.
Description: Reds third baseman Todd Frazier is just a career .125 hitter against Brewers starter Kyle Lohse.
Insight: Frazier started the season hot, but he cooled off after the first week. He is 3-for-12 in his last four games and is hitting .250 with five home runs this season. If owners have a better option, it's alright to sit Frazier on Tuesday.

Insight: Donaldson had an RBI-single to score Devin Travis in the first inning as Toronto took an early lead, but Tampa Bay answered in the bottom of the inning. The Blue Jays retook the lead in the seventh on Russell Martin's homer, but the Rays scored three runs in the eighth. Donaldson is hitting .352 with four home runs and 14 RBI this season.
Description: Rays third baseman Evan Longoria went 4-for-4 with a RBI-double in the, 4-2, victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Insight: Longoria hit a RBI-double in the first to score Steven Souza Jr. Longoria also had three singles. He is hitting .271/.380/.441, but fantasy owners would like to see more power. Longoria has just one home run and four RBI.
Description: Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon (knee) had no problems in his first minor league stint and should be back with the Nationals for their series with the first-place New York Mets on Thursday.
Insight: With the return of Rendon next week, the Nationals will finally have their regular starting lineup on the field for the first time this season. Denard Span and Jayson Werth just recently returned to the action.
Description: Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez is not in Thursday's starting lineup.
Insight: Rodriguez is just getting the day off. A-Rod has been one of the Yankees best hitters this season, hitting .265 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Carlos Beltran will DH and Garrett Jones is starting at first base.
Description: Phillies third baseman Cody Asche hit his second home run of the season during Wednesday's loss to the Marlins and might be able to repeat that feat on Thursday afternoon.
Insight: Asche has been a solid option this season and now is hitting .340 with overall, but the key to him going deep again is the wind blowing out to right field at about 20 mph today. All he has to do is hit it in the air solidly and it should go out of hitter-friendly Citizen's Bank Park.
Description: Reds third baseman Todd Frazier is just 3-for-24 (.125) against Milwaukee right-hander Kyle Lohse.
Insight: Frazier has been productive this season despite a low .237 batting average with four homers and 13 RBI through the first 15 games. However, Thursday doesn't look like a good matchup for the third baseman.
Description: Mets third baseman David Wright will miss three weeks with his hamstring injury according to the New York Daily News.
Insight: Wright has been out for over a week since suffering a right hamstring strain. The good news is manager Terry Collins says Wright is right where he should be with his rehab although he hasn't started baseball activities yet.
Description: Angels third baseman David Freese went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the, 14-1, victory over the Athletics on Tuesday.
Insight: Freese had a two-RBI single in the sixth to really open up things up against Oakland. After the inning, the Angels led, 10-1. Freese is hitting .236 with three home runs and 11 RBI this season.
Description: Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas was 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored in the, 6-5, victory over the Twins on Tuesday.
Insight: Moustakas hit a two-run bomb in the fifth to give the Royals a two-run lead, and then the third baseman capped off an eighth inning rally with a single to score the winning run. Moustakas is off to a great start, hitting .327 with three home runs and five RBI.
