NCAA Game Summary - Duke at Virginia

Charlottesville, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Anthony Boone led Duke as he passed for 245 yards and two touchdowns as the Blue Devils earned an impressive come-from-behind win over the Virginia Cavaliers, 35-22, in an ACC clash at Scott Stadium.
The Blue Devils (5-2, 1-2 ACC) earned their first conference victory thanks to Boone who completed 21-of-39 pass attempts with one interception. Boone's key target was Jamison Crowder, who had nine catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. Braxton Deaver recorded 96 yards and two touchdowns on just three catches while Brandon Connette rushed for a touchdown and threw for a touchdown on a trick play. Despite no one carrying the ball more than nine times, Duke still accumulated 180 yards rushing. The Blue Devils have now won three games in a row.
Virginia (2-5, 0-3) let a huge 22-0 first half lead go to waste and is still in search of its first conference win. The Cavaliers have lost four straight games. Kevin Parks' huge performance was spoiled by the loss. Parks carried the ball 15 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns while also catching six passes for 88 yards and touchdown. David Watford was 20-of-38 for 263 yards, one touchdown and one interception while being sacked four times.
Virginia got things going early. On the opening drive, the Cavaliers drove 78 yards down the field on 11 plays. Parks finished the drive off with a one-yard touchdown run. Parks ran in another one-yard score late in the first quarter and midway through the second he caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Watford. Virginia went for the two-point conversion and succeeded as Miles Gooch ran it in. The Cavaliers led 22-0.
Despite a rough beginning to the game, Duke finished the first half strong as Crowder caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Boone in the final minute of the half. The Blue Devils trailed 22-7 at the break.
Duke then had full control for the final 30 minutes. After a 25-yard field goal from Ross Martin and a six-yard touchdown run from Connette, the Blue Devils had made it a one-score game as they trailed, 22-17 with 2:39 left in the third quarter.
The Blue Devils kept things rolling in the fourth quarter. Deaver caught two touchdown passes. He caught a 47-yard touchdown pass from Connette on a trick play and a 24-yard touchdown pass from Boone. With just under three minutes left in the game, Martin kicked in a 32-yard field goal to lock up the game for Duke. The Blue Devils scored 35 unanswered points en route to the 17-point victory.
The Blue Devils were a perfect 4-for-4 on fourth down conversions and tallied 472 yards of total offense.
