NCAA Game Summary - Louisiana at Kansas State

Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - John Hubert rushed for 56 yards and two scores as the Kansas State Wildcats bounced back with a 48-27 win over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in a non-conference matchup at Snyder Stadium.
Daniel Sams added 63 yards and a touchdown on eight carries for Kansas State (1-1) which was upset, 24-21, by FCS foe North Dakota State in the season opener. Jake Waters completed 22-of-31 pass attempts for 278 yards but was also intercepted twice. Tyler Lockett caught eight passes for 111 yards as one of eight players to record at least one reception for the Wildcats
Terrance Broadway completed 18-of-30 pass attempts for 193 yards and a score to match one interception for Louisiana (0-2). Broadway also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown. Alonzo Harris was the primary rushing option in the contest with 74 yards on 13 carries. Jamal Robinson led the Ragin' Cajuns with six catches for 83 yards and a score.
The two squads traded field goals in the first quarter to get the scoring going. Jack Cantele booted a 29-yard field goal for Kansas State, which Stephen Brauchle answered with a 26-yard effort for Louisiana.
With less than a minute to play in the opening quarter, Hubert scored on a seven-yard touchdown run
The Wildcats would add another touchdown on the ground with 11:20 left in the first half when Sams ran for a 13-yard touchdown.
A 27-yard field goal from Cantele just before halftime pushed the Wildcats to a 20-3 edge at the break.
On the opening kickoff of the second half, Tramaine Thompson returned the ball 95 yards for a touchdown as the Wildcats pulled further out in front.
The Wildcats continued to pull away with a one-yard touchdown run from Waters on their next possession. Waters' run was set up by an 79-yard punt return by Thompson.
On the kickoff following Waters' touchdown run, Darryl Surgent returned the ball 100 yards for a touchdown to put an end to the Wildcats' scoring streak.
Waters was then intercepted on the third play of the Wildcats' ensuing drive which set up the Ragin' Cajuns for a four-yard rushing touchdown from Broadway.
It looked like the Ragin' Cajuns were set up to put more points on the board after they forced a three-and-out on the Wildcats' next possession.
However Broadway squandered the opportunity when he was intercepted on the first play of the ensuing drive by Ty Zimmerman, who returned the ball 32 yards for a touchdown.
An 18-yard touchdown pass from Broadway to James Robinson allowed Louisiana to cut into the Wildcats' lead once again.
The Ragin' Cajuns scored first in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard field goal from Brauchle.
Hubert really put the game out of reach on the Wildcats' next possession as he scored on a two-yard touchdown run.
