GAME NOTES: The UNC-Wilmington Seahawks take aim at their first road win of the season when they take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a non-league tilt at McCamish Pavilion.

UNCW is 4-0 at home this season but has dropped all four of its road games so far. The Seahawks were in action Wednesday night, posting a 62-47 home win over Division II school Coker. Following this tilt, they'll have off until traveling to Davidson next Saturday.

Georgia Tech has split its last four games and is coming off Tuesday night's 62-54 win over Georgia Tech. Tuesday's contest kicked off a season-long seven- game homestand for the Yellow Jackets. They'll be idle for the next eight days before resuming play against Alabama State on Dec. 17.

GT owns a 3-0 lead in the all-time series, although this marks the first meeting between these two teams since 1995.

Playing at home against a D-II school earlier this week, UNCW struggled for much of the contest. In fact, the Seahawks led by only five points (34-29) with just under 15 minutes to play before pulling away late. They shot just 42.9 percent from the floor for the game and missed eight of their 16 free- throw attempts. However, they also forced the outmatched Cobras into 22 turnovers and watched the visitors shoot just 5-of-19 from the perimeter (.263). Senior forward Keith Rendleman led the way for UNCW with 20 points and 13 rebounds, marking his 25th career double-double. Rendleman is the only Seahawks player averaging double figures on the season, as he is posting 15.9 points and a team-best 9.6 rebounds per tilt.

The Yellow Jackets have three players who are scoring in double figures, led by freshman Marcus Georges-Hunt with 12.0 ppg. Mfon Udofia and Kammeon Holsey are tied for second on the team with 10.4 ppg. Holsey is also tied for the team lead with 5.6 rebounds per game despite coming off the bench in all seven games. Georgia Tech's bread and butter so far has been its defensive pressure, having held the opposition to just 37.9-percent shooting from the floor and only 55.4 ppg. That defensive presence was front and center against in-state rival Georgia, as the Bulldogs shot just 31.6 percent from the floor and never led in Tuesday's matchup. Georges-Hunt scored a career-high 18 points in the victory.

UNCW has struggled on the road, and Wednesday's nip-and-tuck battle against a D-II squad is particularly troubling. Look for the Yellow Jackets to ride a balanced effort to a win over UNCW on their home floor.
