NCAA Game Summary - Buffalo at Toledo

Toledo, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Julius Brown nailed a jumper as time expired to lift the Toledo Rockets to a 67-65 win over the Buffalo Bulls in a Mid- American Conference conflict at Savage Arena.
Brown finished with 20 points and six assists for Toledo (14-2, 2-1 MAC). J.D. Weatherspoon tallied 13 and Justin Drummond and Rian Pearson each added 12, although Pearson connected on just 5-of-15 from the field.
Javon McCrea posted a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds and also blocked four shots for Buffalo (8-5, 2-1), which had won four straight. Joshua Freelove tacked on 16 points.
The Bulls led 39-32 at halftime. They shot 53.1 percent from the floor in the frame, including a 5-of-8 showing from beyond the arc. The Rockets shot at a 47.8 percent clip, but stayed close by holding an 8-0 scoring edge from the free-throw line.
In the second half Toledo rallied by limiting Buffalo to just 31.4 percent shooting. The Rockets took a 59-58 lead with 2:30 to play on a layup from Jordan Lauf. The Bulls were able to tie the game four times in the final two minutes, the last time coming when Shannon Evans made a layup with three seconds to play. However, Brown took a pass from Nathan Boothe and sank his game-winner on the other end.
Toledo was helped to victory by an 18-3 scoring advantage at the charity stripe.
