NCAA Game Summary - Kentucky at Robert Morris

Moon Township, PA (Sports Network) - Mike McFadden knocked down two free- throws with 8.7 seconds remaining to give the eighth-seeded Robert Morris Colonials a stunning 59-57 victory over the top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats in the first round of the 2013 NIT at the Sewall Center.
Lucky Jones led the Colonials (24-10) with 15 points and Russell Johnson added 14 points.
The Wildcats (21-12), the defending NCAA Tournament Champions, were paced by Archie Goodwin with a game-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds, while Jarrod Polson chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
RMU opened the game on a 10-0 run but went into halftime with a slim 28-27 advantage. The Colonials shot 40 percent from the field, including 3-of-10 from 3-point distance in the half. Kentucky made 52.9 percent from the field, but just 1-of-5 from beyond the arc.
In the second half the Wildcats continued to knock down their shots, connecting on 52.2 percent of their field goal tries, but just 1-of-4 from the perimeter. The Colonials also shot the ball well after intermission, making 52.6 percent of their shots from the field.
Trailing by 11 with 6:32 remaining, the Wildcats used an 11-0 run to knot the score at 53-53 with just over three minutes to play. The game was still tied at 57-57 in the final seconds before McFadden drained his game- winning free throws, while Kyle Wiltjer missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Wildcats.
Robert Morris, which will now face either Providence or Charlotte in the next round, finished the game a perfect 14-of-14 at the free-throw line. The Wildcats outrebounded the Colonials, 25-19, but also turned the ball over 14 times.
