Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - A jumper by Galal Cancer with 10 seconds remaining was decisive as the Cornell Big Red squeezed by the Penn Quakers, 71-69, in Ivy League play at the Palestra.

Cancer recorded nine points and four assists in the Big Red (10-11, 2-2 Ivy League) victory. Errick Peck scored a game-high 20 points and Johnathan Gray recorded 11 points and four boards as Cornell won for the second time in its last three games.

For the Quakers (4-16, 1-2), Patrick Lucas-Perry recorded a team-high 14 points and Darien Nelson-Henry and Tony Hicks contributed 10 points a piece as Penn lost for the third time in the last four games.

Penn made 46.9 percent from the floor including 6-of-12 from beyond the arc, while holding the visitors to a mere 3-of-12 from long-range, en route to a 36-33 advantage at the break.

Peck tied the game up at 69-69 for Cornell with a pair of made free-throws with a 01:13 left, setting up Cancer's heroics at the end of the game.

Cornell forced 17 turnovers and had a 21-8 edge in points off takeaways.
