Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Will Clyburn poured in a career-high 32 points as the Iowa State Cyclones ran past the BYU Cougars 83-62 in a non-conference tilt at James H. Hilton Coliseum.
Melvin Ejim added 13 points and eight rebounds while Korie Lucious scored 12 points and handed out nine assists for Iowa State (5-2) which snapped a two- game losing skid.
BYU (5-3) was led by Brandon Davies who scored 20 points while Matt Carlino added 12 off the bench. The Cougars had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss.
Iowa State shot 51.7 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 7- of-14 effort from beyond the arc, to take a 48-37 lead into the break.
The Cyclones led by as many as 22 points in the second half despite missing on all eight of their shots from 3-point range.
BYU shot just 36.9 percent from the field in the game and turned the ball over a game-high 18 times.
